Alright, so I was thinking about writing something new and different from what I usually write about, and all of a sudden a random tittle popped into my head.
"Stories of the Unheard"
I began to trace out a plot-line and everything for a short story, so I can then add up and edit it into something bigger and better, but now I'm not so sure that it fits with the title. Luckily, is not much, and it's not good. So now for my (somewhat) question:
What do you think about when you read that title?
Are there any kind of titles that do this to you? Leave you inspired to work on something, and then just doesn't fit in?

Hm. It makes me think of a series of short stories told through a myriad characters' perspectives who cannot speak, but for different reasons.
A story I tried to write once called Waking the Shadows. I started to write it and then nothing fit together. =\

Thank you for moving it to the right forum! >.> Sorry about it, though... I'm still trying to get a hang of things here.
I just wished that I could do something with the bits of the story that I already wrote... but they just seem to be random sentences, that make sense among themselves and yet have no relation with what I want to write. It's frustrating to see that I wasted my time writing something that won't be used for anything at the moment, but I guess that's just me. I can add that drabble to something else... but it won't FEEL the same, you know?
:O What did you do with Waking the Shadows if it didn't fit?

Oh I write useless things all the time. It helps to get things out of my head and pick what I like from there rather than do it all mentally.
That's really what I've been doing all week, actually. Heh.
Dropped it. I haven't touched it, or the characters, for years. Maybe someday I'll rework them, but for now it just doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble.

Stories evolve, or at least they do to me, so i end up with small scenes for my stories that don't fit anywhere so i often end up with the same problem. I try to keep all of my writing, whether they are a part of any of the stories or not. If im working on something new sometime, depending on the scene of the story, i can use the situation from the scene. Does that make help at all?
By the way both of the the title you suggested are good. I would defendly be interested in reading the story. What's it about anyways?

I think of the geeks and people like that, but a title can reflect part of the story or the whole story or none of the story at all.
