well, i can tell you what isn't my fave thing about Halloween. rotting pumpkins, like the one my neighbor is leaving in front of their door. it's covered in a furry white and green mold. luckily, it hasn't started to stink. definitely not looking forward to that smell.

Oh I know. That's one of the worst things ever. I hate when they start getting soft, and you know they're already rotting, but you don't want to move it, so you just let it sit there. And before you know it... the whole thing's caved in and green. And that smell... dear god that's dreadful...

I love the dressing up part!! And when people come to your door and you get to see what they've dressed up as!

However, I don't like it when people haven't even made an attempt at dressing up and then they expect some kind of "treat"

Scaring people and being scared. I'm not as into the candy as I once was, but I still love a good scare!

I think it's the background, culture, stories, and general oddness that intrigues me.

Best thing about Halloween is dressing up and getting to walk around town, go to bars, clubs, and even work with a costume on without being looked at like a freak! I love it! I also love picking out a costume for the day before Halloween parties and for going out on Halloween night! It takes me almost a month to decide on two separate costumes and I always take the day of, and the next day off of work!

Heh, besides the galore of sweet candy? Well free cosplay day for one thing, and the pure autumn festivity in the air for another .

I love the fact that it is fall. I hate the heat big time. But I also love decorating and playfully scaring my brothers or friends. I like to try and have some kind of get together and have fun. Be it playing video games or watching some stupid movie with my friends.

Oh and passing out candy to kids. I don't get many trick or treaters cause I live in an apartment. But the few I get I make sure to get the good candy bars for them since I only get like four kids every year XD

the best part is getting to dress up in crazy costumes and hang out at night with my friends! And of course eating more candy than I eat in the whole rest of the year!!

I like halloween, it's a real pity that it is not celebrated here in Belgium.

Bah, the only things we have is some random decoration in the windows of the shops, some commercial blah blah blah around it so you'll buy more, and scams to make money with that are halloween related. It's not at all a pleasure really. Although some people organize a private party for their friends or so, which is nice.
I like having fun with friends on halloween, just being together and spending some time together, being silly. And the fact you can dress up and be scary and walk around like a vampire on the street without being stared at and given weird looks. It's really nice to just be dressed up and be silly with people and scaring people, and people scaring you, of course.

I like the whole concept of halloween really.
Dressing up in scary costumes to scare away the demons, and being rewarded with candy because you're constume was scary enough to scare the demons away. It's not so much like that now, but still, costumes = candy, and candy = awesome.

My favorite thing about Halloween is that we don't have it here in Australia. Or more to the point you'll only see a select few primary school students trick-or-treating; although they expect nobody to give them anything except like, a banana or something like that.

your missing out halloween doesnt all have to be candy or dressing up, there are partys!, or scary movie nights, its really not all candy and dressing up. :angel:

I love being able to dress up in an absolutely crazy costume and no one looks at you weird. ^_^

My favorite part of Halloween is..Free candy and costumes! and the creepy, spooky, scary movies that are associated with this day!

Dressing up of course! hehe, how many times a year do you get to be something you're not? One year I dressed as a Southern Belle and had to act the part the whole day cause it was a challenge for a drama class hehe.
