i practiced witchcraft for years and then "found" jesus...but i wasnt happy like i was with witchcraft so i think im going to go back to witchcraft...and while i believe that most magic is peaceful i dont like ouiji boards...i will never touch one and have never...messing with those things is creepy and dangerous cause even tho i dont believe in christian religions i do believe in demons and ouiji boards will open ur souls up to the evil ones...but as for magic...its the most beautiful thing i have ever felt...i have seen bruises melt under my hands without even touching the skin...and i have seen a summer flower blossom in the winter...i can see images in fire and water...and anyone who tries to say that im trying to get attention know im not...in fact i practice magic in secret cause my family hate it...i have seen friends of mine do much bigger things than anything i could ever do including once one actually changed the shape of a cloud, but then it rained for 2 wks...she never did that again...she made it look like a cute little bunny!!!! lol

Well, I myself have been a practicing pagan for...six years now. I've been studying witchcraft, Wicca, and various other beliefs/practices. I started out just reading, and then for a few years attempted to become a Wiccan, though to no avail. I believe one should be initiated into a coven to be able to claim they practice the religion. Instead I've taken a more eclectic path, and mix my own beliefs into my own practice. I've practiced all sorts of "magic". I'll admit, I've tried hexing someone, though they ended up just doing even better in life. Though strangely that ended up making things easier in my situation as well, so it worked out either way. lol. I have to say though, out of everything I've tried, divination is definitely my favorite, and what I'm best at. I do tarot reading, some palm reading (still learning) and I've just recently picked up a book on tea leaf reading and I have some runes I plan on learning with. Anyways, my tarot readings are scary accurate, I don't think I've ever given one to someone else that hasn't been correct. My palm reading is pretty good as well, though it can be a bit confusing at times to do. :)

Society is more friendly to wiccans and pagans nowadays. When I first got into it, the mere mention of the words would get people so angry. One of my friends was targeted for harrasment by a christian station because they just thought she was a witch, and she really wasn't.

personally, i believe in wicca, witchcraft, the works. I also believe that alot of it is highly suggestible. I dont believe that if you cast a hex on me it will harm me unless i believe that it will. As for the rest of what i believe, it falls into my religious views and i'd rather not offend any1. but, i do not hate the practitioners, i do not persecute them in any way. i just feel they've made a poor choice. the same way you would feel bad for someone who curses at someone because they mispronounced a word they thought they knew.
and as for Ouija boards, i refuse to go anywhere near them. i feel nothing good can come from them and they are best left alone by everyone. they are not a game and very bad things can come from the. The Exorcist was not just a book and movie, it was based off a very real event that happened to a little boy. in part because of a ouija board.

This made me giggle in so many ways, it's not even funny.
Who in the world had the idea that being able to change actual form was possible? Don't these silly people know it's an ANIMAL SPIRT. Meaning it guides you and assists you in your workings. It also, at times, will lend it's strengths to you.
IE:
Mine is the Raven. At times, I'm subborn, loud, and distant.
Others; I'm very in tune with my surroundings, wise, and flighty.
*sigh* What has the world come to?

I do believe in witchcraft, however, I do not believe that any spell that I would cast or anyone else for that matter, will have an instant (noticeable) effect. The energy put behind the spell needs time to work its course, and negative spells used to harm another will eventually come back to you. While it is possible to harm, the effects come back around to the person who cast the spell in the first place making it quite pointless to cast a spell of illness on someone "because they pissed you off", unless there is an ultimately positive reasoning behind harming a person then there is no benefit in sending out energy to do it.

In a certain way i do believe in it but at the same time i find it really hard to believe.... i find it hard to believe because i dont think that people can cast a spell to change anothers fate, or to turn into a werewolf, or anything like that but...
I think alot of it has to do with human willpower and belief.... if a person strongly believes in what they are trying to achieve through witchcraft it will become true. but only if its practical things nothing out of the ordinary...
Its because that person has so much faith in it working they actually make it work for themselves with their own natural human abilities
they put it in their mind that they will prevail, they will get this or that, that they can feel better, or anything like that so they take action on it without realizing it because they want it badly enough and have motivated themselves
well thats the way I view it >.>

I do believe in Magick/Witchcraft/Pagamism, whatever you wish to call it. I think that there are things that you can do here, but there are others that you cannot. Such is the way of the Never Known Realm, which is not supposed to know that Magick is real, which is why those that study the craft(s) are shunned even a little bit. I believe that there are more realms than we see, other realms that exist outside our view. I also know that they are there, for you visit the One that Connects them All while you sleep. If you tend to have weird dreams that seem to not make sense at all, that would be why.
I also have to say that I do not believe in just one thing. I believe in lots of things along this path of discussion. Like the Fates, the various Gods and Goddesses. In all religions, not just one or two. The Archangels, and the Fallen Angels. I believe that they are there, and that they are watching over us all the time.
I practice Tarot, Tea leaf reading, Fire scrying, astrology, numerology, herbal magick in both the kitchen and otherwise, stone/gemstone magick, incense studies, and dream interpretation along with anything I can't think of right now. I can do water crying, but that's hard for me because I have a full affinity for fire. I also touch the Native American ways as well. I've been studying the various religions, and their Gods, and Goddesses, and anything else that I feel may be good to know. In general, I bounce around a lot.
I also believe in Spirit Animals, along with the thoughts of having/being an animal as well (In spirit I mean). Me myself, I am a wolf, fox, and a dragon. Mostly a wolf though. I believe that there are lots of things that we don't understand, because it changes constantly to fit to how we want to perceive it. =)

I actually dont believe in witchcraft or witches. Its just that since long ago, whenever people saw something too abnormal for their society they would witch hunt it and then years later people finally get smarter and see that its not the work of the devil.
Its funny really if you look at that world wide perspective. What is witchcraft? Just something unusual that people can't explain? For example the Big Bang? Voodoo and witchcraft never attracted my attention. Witchcraft may be just a set of beliefs or principles certain people go by just like Christianity and Islam and Judiasm. Maybe its a set of principles for certain people. It can be.
What I do believe is that if people think really strongly about something they want and work their way through it ambitiously, they might as well get it. Its kind of like this new phenomenon called, "The Secret" that's been going around the internet where it says "you can do or get whatever you want just by thinking about it" and all that. Not something I entirely believe but well who knows.
Sometimes things work. Other times it doesn't.

I think you're ridiculus for saying so in a PAGAN thread. If you don't like it or don't agree with it, then don't post in here. Simple as that. I think it was it just a stupid move on your part.

I would be interested in hearing them nevertheless. I do believe there are things in the unseen world and of course I'm not talking about the scientific unseen world such as radiation, but the spirit world that interacts with this world on a daily basis.

I would really be interested if they had such a study on the mind in metaphysics where the mind is able to manipulate the environment through sheer will and mental energy. I have done it at least five times and three out of five times it worked. I believe it also has a lot to do with the people who are doing it and how determined or how much they actually believe that it will work. I would like to try it more to see exactly what the results were if I tried it ten times with then different people who had open minds and who were serious about finding out that kind of information. Light as a feather stiff as a board has always fascinated me since the first time I saw it when I was in the seventh grade when a group of classmates one day were bored before class started and tried it, and to my astonishment, it really worked!! But of course there were those two times it did not work and I remember everyone was laughing and not really taking the task seriously; that being said, I think could be tied in with witchcraft as a metaphysical study of the mind and the mind's ability to control its environment through sheer will thinking.

Ah so we're talking metaphysics now! I'd be a tad more interested in moving objects, mind reading, and extra sensory locating.
