Michael sighed looking down at the paper in his hands. Something or other about needing work experience. He skimmed the paper idly. He didn't really care to be honest, but he needed to do it. Without the credit he'd never graduate high school and his mother would never stand for that. Of course, that was when he noticed it. The fact that the place of his mother's employment was listed on the sheet as a place he could work. Michael immediately made up his mind knowing he would speak to his mother about it when she got home from work later that day.
When she finally did walk through the door a smile graced his features. "Mother dearest~" he spoke jokingly as he showed her the piece of paper. "I have to do this thing for school... ya see? Your work place is listed right there!" he said pointing to its place on the paper, he had even circled and highlighted it in his boredom waiting.
"I see, I see. So you want to... work there then, I suppose?"
"Yes!" Michael said as he nodded in affirmation. "Can I?" He seemed like a happy enough kid, he wanted to be excited about it, if he wasn't then he wouldn't have the motivation. "Will you take me tomorrow? I'll have dad drop me off after school even if it's a pain for you to come back home..."
"Of course you can." The older woman spoke warmly to her son, nodding that she would explain the situation to her boss during the day and then come to pick him up after he got off from school.
Michael was happy.
The following school day passed without incident and when he got home he waited intently for his mother to pick him up. Which she did not even fifteen minutes after he'd gotten home. They arrived at her workplace and she introduced him to her boss. "Mr. Wilson, this is my son Michael. I told you about him not long ago and how I'd be bringing him here..."
"It's nice to meet you, sir." The boy said trying to be as polite as possible.

"Sir, are you sure about this?" The brunette secretary asked, following the boss of their part of the company. What the girl was talking about was the agreement that the older man had signed a bit ago. It was allowing that one member of a local high school to see how the business worked. Instantly the girl thought of it as a bad idea, a distraction for the man, but thinking of the good things that could come out of it, Joshua agreed to it.
"I think my idea is just fine, Miller. Now, don't you have work to do?" Josh stopped in his tracks, and turned his heel to look at the girl who had suddenly stopped. His face was stern, slightly angry that she was questioning his judgment. Was he not the boss of the company?
"Y-yeah, sir. I'll get right on it." Nodding, Janice scurried out of the room as quick as she could, not wanting to upset the man anymore. Though just as Josh started to do his work, he was interrupted once again. This was becoming annoying, even for Josh who was usually laid back about situations.
Looking up, Josh was slightly surprised to see two people standing before him. Though with the explanation, Josh "awed" to himself, though he didn't remember anything about dates at which the boy was supposed to come.
"Thank you, Arinas. You may go back to work now," Josh nodded for the woman to leave and brought his attention back to the boy. He seemed like he'd be fairly willing to listen to him. Though one can't always judge a book by its cover.
"You may have a seat..." Josh trailed off, not quite remembering the name of the boy if it was mentioned to him.

Michael took a seat and sighed very lightly. This man seemed like one that should be tread lightly around but he didn't think the man could be that bad, if he were his mother wouldn't work for him. At least, he didn't think so. "H-Hello sir... my name is Michael." he was unsure if the other man had heard his mother introduce him before so he did it again just to be sure but quickly became quiet again. He didn't want to be an annoyance to the man and his mother had taught him to be a polite, upstanding citizen type of child. As if she didn't want him to repeat mistakes she made in her childhood. It had worked so far at least.
Having become quiet he sat us straight in the seat as if to prove he was more than ready to listen to anything the man had to say.
[Ugh so short... sorry.]

"Well, Michael, it's a pleasure to meet you," Josh greeted while giving the boy a smile. Leaning forward, Josh propped his elbows on his desk and clasped his hands together. Learning his head on his hands, Josh looked over the younger boy several times, as if trying to find something.
"So, why did you choose here out of all the other places on the list? I heard that there were quite a few options to choose from." As of right now, Josh was treating this as an interview for the future. Call it practice for the future. There were very few places that didn't interview candidates.
"Do you have any plans for what you're future job may be? Have you ever thought of what you wanted to do in the future?" Josh asked another question after Michael answered the first. It was moments like these where he wanted to hit himself in the head for not making up a list of questions for the future. As of right now, he was simply going off the top of his head.
Though if the boy was anything like his mother, then he was sure to be a fine worker in the future.
