hen i wake up in the morning, im not truely awak till i have some mountin dew. that lasts me through my morning rituals, and on the way out the door i twist open the cap to a twenty ounce bottle of the green colored life in a bottle, and have it gone by the time i get to school. then, by lunch, im lagging, so i magicly pull ANOTHER twenty ouncer out of my purse, and open that, which lasts me till i get home, and then i refil on of my bottles and that wil last me to dinner time, when i get another. and that last bottle will last me to bed time.
in short, i cant drink coffee. not strong enough.
im curious....what can'do ou NEED in the morning to get your self going and dressed and ready for work/school? i, as you can tell, need a LOT. ^;

None. Caffeine and sugar suck as sources of energy because they're not healthy for you overall. I'm already a very highstrung, energetic person, so drinking coffee or anything else high in caffeine just makes me jittery and rather sick.
I do, however, drink Emergen-C in the mornings when I need a boost of energy. When you want energy, the best thing for it is vitamins, particularly Vitamin C. And I eat a large breakfast, usually consisting of a tuna sandwich, oatmeal, and one or two pieces of fruit.

Well, I just kinda give myself five minutes to lay there in bed after my alarm goes off. I take everything slow until I wake up, and I don't need coffee/sugar to wake my senses up.
I'm usually cold, so tea warms me up and I become awake-er. :D

It depends on how much sleep I get. if I only get 6 hours of sleep, then I need about 12 oz of soda. If I get enough sleep then I don't need any.

None. I wake up, go to class, then don't bother staying up when I get back. xD
I pass out as soon I step back into my room. Haha.

i would probly do that but....i hate fruits, and i rarely have time to get dressed in the mornings, let alone have a decent breakfast ^^; and that is why i take a fist full of vitamins and what not in the morning (if i have time to grab them)

again, i would probly do that, but i usualy dont even start to hear my alarm until about 5 minutes before my bus is at the corner.....and i set me alarm to get off at 530am, with another going off at 545am, another at 550am, and yet ANOTHER one at 600am. i dont hear anyof them until about 645am. i need to be at the corner right around 645am, the time that i wake up every morning ^^;

Mmmm... in my case it's not so much that I need it to get up in the morning... I just need it at random intervals throughout the day else I get withdrawal headaches... because that's just how addicted I've become to soda. T_T

I use to drink a lot of caffeine every so often but now I've cut it down. I usually have a little bit of chocolate milk so I guess that counts as sugar? But it's usually half a glass or a full. I know it's not very healthy but I don't like regular milk. >>; (I feel like Ed from Full Metal Alchemist...)

Sadly, I drink of a lot of soda and love coffee.
But it's not really for the caffine, but for other things in the drinks themselves.
I drink soda for the cold, fizzy-sweetness, and not because it has caffine.
I'm really just addicted to that part.
For coffee, which I don't get often, I really love the smell and the sweet, creamy taste of the creamer.
If you took the caffine out of both of these drinks, but left all the things I mentioned, I would still continue to drink them.

I don't drink much of either. I do like iced coffee though if it was in the morning and I somehow end up in McDonald's or something.
I don't like hot coffee, but I remember when I was younger I used to steal the rest of my grandma's when she was through with it. [it was ice cold by then anyway lol]
Soda? It makes me use the bathroom a lot since my metabolism is still really fast. : P
So I usually only drink it when there's no substitute like tea or something.

Not very much really. Every rare once in a while, when I have a hard time waking up, or I have a bad migraine, I have one cup of coffee, like this mourning. >.< I also have low blood pressure, so mournings aren't my strong suit anyway. ^_^

This morning, a lot if you take everything into account. I had a bagel, which breaks down quickly into sugar because it's all starches, and a cup of hot coco - Nessle brand, so it has a good amount of sugar in the mixture as well

none. I love Coffee, but it does nothing for my system. Once I'm awake, I don't fall asleep very easily. If I've had a really boring day, then I'll have a coffee or energy drink for a pick me up, but thats about it.

All i really need is a hot shower to wake me up. I really don't need caffeine or anything to stay awake either, although i do enjoy a Mt. Dew once in while.

I don't drink sugar in the morning. Once I wake up I am quiet awake once the water splashes on my face. xD
Then I eat and stuff. Though I do like drinking soda in the morning. I usually drink at my friend house and I sometime get off of it. o.o

I cant do caffeine in the morning anymore.... or off to the Hospital for me. >< If I drink any it is a glass of tea for the small amount it has. And I cant eat sugar in the morning. Makes me sick, even though i ca neat it throught out the day. Oo
I just wake up get dressed, eat at least a bowl of cereal, and what realy wakes me up is how many times i burn myself with either the flat iron or the curling iron when I do my hair and putting my contacts in wrong.

On really potentially bad days, where there's no other higher motivator, all i need is the thought of my breakfast.
I don't drink sugary or caffinated drinks, as they're not overly healthy, and they also sit in my stomach uncomfortably.

It's odd, I don't need(or like) coffee but it's probably because I eat so much sugar the rest of the day. If I really do need something though to get me started I usually grab a piece of fruit. I find that they usually get me awake and ready to go, plus fruit tates really really yummy. ^.^

wow if you actually NEED something then you have a problem. it may be that you need more sleep at night or that your not getting enough of the things your body needs. I always wake up with a smile and I don't need anything to get me through the day except for a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with some juice and water throughout the day :)

I don't need caffeine or sugar in the morning. But sometimes i prefer it. Depending at who's house i'm at or who i am with in order for me to need sugar or caffeine.
Some times a simple cup of coffee or early candy snack to get me going.

If I have to get up early in the morning, then ideally I'll get a frozen mocha. Barring that, I'll get the biggest soda I can find (like a 32 ounce).
If I don't need to get up early, I usually don't need caffeine unless I didn't sleep well the night before. Even then, I still crave something, but can get buy on something like iced tea (yes, sweet).

I only need one 12 oz 'any soda' to get me up (provided it has caffeine). Usually it's Dr Pepper, but recently, I just happened to be going with Mountain Dew (and usually I don't have the cans, just a glass which happens to measure out perfectly to equal 1 can)
