"run away and leave a girl to handle my fight? Hardly, besides they may be immune to magic but I hardly doubt they have ever delt with someone skilled in my arts." He quickly recasted his wards and stood there popping his right shoulder into place "I'm ready when you are."

Dante halted at one point as he neared the barn of the castle Inn. This was... Rain was defending herself with a barn door? Wait... the door was hovering? W-Whatever... for now he'd ignore just how impossible such a feat was. For now, he focused on the surrounding area. He was tiny unlike he others. He could easily go unnoticed, especially seeing as the attention would be on the two by the barn.

This meant one thing; a sneak attack. He figured where the targets were from where Rain's attention had been at. Having kept his distance, he scurried closer ot the forest, thankful towards the dark night they were having. If anything, a small boy like him could be put off for a raccoon. He waited until he was in the shade of the trees before sliding his short sword from it's sheath. This would last for a few good blows before it was deemed useless. He couldn't go one on one with someone with such a tiny body.

Girl? He called her….a girl. If Rain wasn’t more concerned with not dying she would have smacked him. She could feel him pull up his wards and raised an eyebrow, did he really think skill had anything to do with it. “Any energy other then purely physical like this door or a weapon won’t do a thing, no matter what the skill sweetheart. Don’t attack them directly…” she warned, starting forward again as he stood. She knw the door would eventually break under the barrage but was hoping that they’d get close enough to fight toe to toe before it did.


((By the way rin, their weapons are made to enchant through any energy, including wards. You can’t attack directly. You however can for example, hit the tree trunk to snap the tree and half then it fall on their head and things like that. ))



Lily looked up at him, only able to reveal what Rain had herself remembered. The man had managed to curse her…. And it had done so much…and would cause so much more if Rain failed to remember. Rains past would come to harm her and lily desperately wanted to stop it from happening. She stared up at Oni at them having fallen over, her head spinning. “You…. Rain likes you….you remind her of….family she can not remember…but loved…Rain truly loved.” She said deliriously.

((Yus XD. Seven to be specific. Five using crossbows, two with melee. they are in the forest that surronds the inn, all in the same section of forest))

"well didn't really want to do this but I guess I have to." he stepped away from her for a moment an began to chant. A circle of power appeared under him "power word: form." his armor still damaged began to change into an even lighter form his mask or what was left of it disappeared. A pair of guns appeared in his hands "will guns work?" he asked as he loaded a pair of clips into the pistols.

Saying Oni was confused by what the strange lady said was way more than an understatement. Oni knew he wasn't very bright and he had a bad tendency to forget things. So he tried to pick out what was most important and would be easy for him to remember. "So Rain needs to remember her family because if she does then it will help her?" He hugged the strange cat girl hoping it would make her feel better.

Oni's eyes glazed over and he went limp for a moment. The next moment his hand were around the girls neck and he started to strangle her.

One.

The idiot had been crouching on the ground; a prefect target. He only had to sneak up behind the busied archer, reach his short sword around, and slice a nice, deep, thin line acros his throat. His voice was too gurgled to warn his friends.

Two.

This one had been trickier. The bastard was standing right near the crouched one. Thankfully, after a few moments, he had noticed his buddy laying flat on the ground. He'd gone to help and crouched down to his friend's side... that was when Dante got him as well.

Three. The last was the worst of them all. Up in a tree. This wouldn't be a clean kill; after all, Dante couldn't climb with his hands full. Instead, he'd had to resort to a good throw. He watched his atrget carefully, waiting and timing himself before chucking the blade at the man. One good throw and the short sword had lodged itself into the man's spine.

That was when the how erupted. The man fell to the Earth below, and Dante leaped behind a tree for cover. He'd be getting company soon. He checked the bullets in his gun before gripping it with his tiny hand. Pulling out a bandage from his pocket he wrapped the gun tight to his hand to lighten the amount of shock from the pistol as well as lessen the chance of loosing it. He then gripped it with his other, focusing once more on his surroundings and waiting for a chance to fire and take any of these bastards out.

Ti had passed out in the chair, his sketchbook in his lap. He was awakened rudely with the wave of energy off a holy spell. "Eito wata shima!" He cursed as he jumped to his feet and threw open the blinds. He saw the red-headed hit the wall and smirked to himself, "Saigo... " He turned to go back to drawing, but movement caught his eye. The mage was alive! "Kuso..." He shrugged, then saw flickers of movement out in the woods. He narrowed his eyes, his hand moving to where his blade was on the wall, something was wrong, and Arina was out there. He grasped the hilt and threw the window open, jumping out and landing on the dirt below, he dashed into the woods, barely paying attention to the arrows as they whizzed by, barely missing.

If the bullets are made of metal or similar physical substance.” Rain answered with a shrug, still walking closer. She would be close enough to do something soon… She held out a hand and making a gesture with it to summon a silver staff with blades on each end from her hiding place. She leaned it on her shoulder, getting them within easy running distance of the trees. She could hear some moving back then an angry yell as a dead body was found, though of course she didn’t know that. Seems they might have help… “I can make it to the trees now… can you?” She asked glancing over.





Lily bit her lip, changing her size suddenly so she was about ten foot tall and her neck to thick for him to choke. She then pounced forward like a cat and pinned him. “Poor Oni” She whispered, leaning forward and using her ability to communicate on other levels to speak directly into his mind as she whispered in his ear. “Oniii, You’re stronger then the bad thing….control the bad thing, You can do it.” She shivered a little…

((that’s why she can go in and out of any room and such xD she can change her size in either form to literally ant sized, to a giant.))

He cocked the guns and his tattoo on his right forearm pulsed. I'll draw the fire run behind me. He bolted out the door jumping to the side dodging an arrow. He fired several rounds at the tree line and in front of him. "death word: rupture" he shot it at one of the trees trying to make it fall on one of the guys. "hurry run now While I can still buy you some time." this is why he hated getting involved with peopleit put him at risk.

Xanic emerged and glared then gave a sly grin saying, "Oh really." He disappeared as quickly as he had appeared and Oni surfaced. He screamed. "Wha. . what did you do?! Let me go? HEEEEELP!" He had no idea who this person was. All he did know was that he blacked out and she grew super big and was holding him down. Did she want to hurt him?

Dante huffed as he heard someone charging his way. Great. Though, they wouldn't be expecting a midget, no would they? He closed his eyes and relaxed himself, trying to keep his cool. He had the advantage is these cases. He could take them all down with ease.

He listened to the heavy footfalls until they finally slowed. So his opponent was growing cautious. He took that into account and crouched down low, gun gripped tight and held up, ready to aim. Finally, the moment he'd waited for. The man had come close enough to him. He shot out from behind the tree and fired two shots; one to the chest, the other to the head. The man went down without a struggle, though the noises torn all the other's attention from the witch to their assailant. Dante grunted and kicked off to the side, smacking his body right into a tree as a few arrows whizzed by, begging for his blood. One hit it's target, lodging itself into his leg.

An arrow grazed Ti's arm as he bore down on an archer. He didn't have time to scream, his eyes wide and his mouth agape as the gleaming blade sliced through his torso. Ti flicked the crimson off the sword, then turned around as a man came down from a tree nearby, screaming before hitting the ground with a sick thud. Ti heard the bang of a gun go off, and a small explosion erupted from the trunk of a tree, the whole thing crashing down. He flipped out of the way, the broken elm landing feet away from him. He glared towards the Mage off in the distance, his eyes glowing gold a moment. He turned back to the dark woods just in time to block a blade coming at a side-stirke.

Dante jumped at the sudden loud explosion. The world spun for a moment as his tiny body was shaken. Bits of tree and bark shattered and whipped him in the face; thankfully the tree wasn't close enough to hit him, though. He looked up to check the surroundings once more before noticing something... familiar. He quirked a brow, then huffed and grinned softly. He remembered that man. Was a night stalker.

He rose his gun up and aimed carefully, eying the soldier that had just attacked Ti. With a pull of the trigger the deed was done. The last bullet was sent flying, hopefully to meet it's mark and lodge itself in the swordsman's lower left lumber. It wouldn't kill, only cripple, of course.

Rain shook her head as he darted out to draw their fire, having had a plan to throw the door and distract that way. Oh well, if he wanted to do it more dangerously that was his right. She through the door, causing attention to be drawn to it so she could run behind a tree and become hidden from view. She looked for any assailants, aware of a dead body nearby. It seemed she had help… many were dead already…. Maybe all.






Lily simply nodded at Xanic, knowing now that Rain’s suspicion was correct. She said nothing, however, only reacting only as Oni appeared. She hugged him tightly as she sat up saying “Oni you’re back, I knew you could beat the bad thing and take back control.” She knew of course Xan had willing given back control… but if Oni could believe he was strong enough…he would have a chance.

Ti slid his sword up to the mans at an angle, the hilt catching on the notch in Ti's blade. He was about to disarm the hunter when a shot rang out and the man screamed as his leg burst crimson. With a flick of his wrist, the small blade was wrenched from his hand and the blue steel rested at the mans neck. Ti then glanced to see a small boy was the shooter. He narrowed his eyes a moment, before they flashed gold and he checked the boy's aura. it was familier... perhaps someone who was already at the Inn? Nonetheless, a child that used a gun like that was a danger. Ti drew a dagger with is other hand, "Don't move, I can throw this quicker than you can pull the trigger." He said, his voice low and dangerous. The man with the sword at his throat whimpered.

Oni was still scared when the giant lady took him in a tight hug. At first he was worried she was going to smother him but then only felt concern float from her and realized it was a hug. It was weird she was saying the same thing Rain had. That something bad inside him had taken over. With an appalled look Oni asked her, "Did I do bad things again? I don't want to do bad things." He really hoped that the big lady was able to stop him if he had. He said, "I beat the bad thing? How did I do it?"

Dante looked to Ti with a strange look before sighing heavily. It wasn't time to be doing this, but he had his reasons. He didn't know who the fuck Dante was, after all. At least... not the chibi Dante. He lowered his gun slowly, his eyes never leaving Ti's form. He released his hand from the bandages slowly until finally he was able toe release the weapon. He bent down carefully and threw the safety on before leaving it on the ground. He went to step back, but found something halting his progress. He whimpered gritting his teeth hard before closing his eyes. His mouth watered quickly as the euphoric pain shot through his leg. The arrow had struck his bone. It was probably only a crack at most, but the pointy object stuck in his mess of flesh and muscle didn't help at all. Any shifting movements caused the muscle to be punctured further.

Rain came upon Dante and Ti, walking to the dhampire’s side and touching his shoulder. “It’s fine he’s….” She trailed off as she looked at the hunter still alive at his feet. She narrowed her eyes, recognizing him as one of the few of her torturers she hadn’t caught after escaping that farce of a trial. Her hand was burning with pain but she simply curled her hands in fists and stared at him. He’d smiled while pushing the poker into her shoulder….he’d enjoyed it. Her eyes narrowed with pure hate…






“No you didn’t do anything bad…” She said softly, still hugging him gently. She rubbed his back, reverting to her normal, human size of maybe 5’4 if that. “I don’t’ know, I guess you stayed strong in your heart and your mind. You just have to know you can’t let anything take control and keep yourself where you are right now.” Lily suggested with a smile.

Ti watched the boy unwrap his hand, slightly amused at the fact that he had to keep the gun held like that, but not letting his icy gaze falter. He glanced back over to the man at blade-point for a moment, seeing that he wasn't going anywhere, he went back to keeping his eyes on the boy. He didn't move as the child set his gun down and stepped back, the smell of blood hitting the air as it spurted.

Ti was about to drill the boy, but Rain was at his shoulder, it took a lot of his will not to react and turn the dagger on her. He let out a deep breath and glanced to her as she glared the hunter down. He looked back to the boy, not lowering the dagger. "He's what? " he demanded, his voice having a bit of a growl to it.

Oni hugged the strange lady convinced she wasn't going to hurt him especially now that she wasn't so big. He said quietly, "Sorry if I did anything bad or acted weird." He then gave her an odd look and said, "Funny, you give off the same kind of feelings as a cat I know." He couldn't help himself and pet her head.

Dante was silent. This wasn't going to get very far. He stared back at the man, his eyes narrowing. What could he say to this? He was only a 'kid'. That, and he was crippled. He wouldn't have a chance in fleeing, nor in talking his way out of this one. Now... what was a magical reason for a kid with good gun control? Why, the kid was actually a shrunken man, of course! But, that was what he was hiding.

"Need Not To Know." Dante huffed before closing his eyes and shaking his head. He was feeling very.... dizzy all of a sudden. In fact, his body was achy and cramping up. His eyes drifted down to the strange arrow as his expression fell. Wait... why were people after Rain anyways?

Rain didn’t answer Ti for some time, hearing Dante but still only looking at the man….She now walked to the fallen man and kicked his head hard, not enough to snap his neck, just enough to make him hurt. “You bastard….” She whispered, barely restraining her fury….and her dragon. He…He deserved to die….

She then looked away, saying to Ti “He’s safe….Don’t worry…” She then shrugged her shoulders, turning her back to the body in an attempt to keep from hitting him again. That man….. He wasn’t just a hunter, He enjoyed torturing women and raping them…. Making witches confess for the hunter group had simply allowed him to get away with it…







Nope, nothing bad” Lily lied, giving a warm smile and feeling genuinely happy. Now that she knew the problem she could tell Rain and perhaps…perhaps they could figure it out. If she could retain her human form long enough anyway…she felt so tired …like it was hard and harder to stay in it.

She then giggled as he spoke, suddenly hugging him close. “Oh Oni…. You’re just like H” She started to say the name then couldn’t, gripping her throat and coughing as the curse blocked her speaking. Rain hadn’t remembered harry… Lily’s twin brother. She coughed a moment then wiped her mouth, “Hehe sorry…I can’t say apparently… I don’t know how all this works to be honest… but I am the kitty you know!… I died…. And then I woke up as the kitty and I followed De…Rain….wanting to protect her…” For a moment she trailed off, looking sad. She knew Rain had cast a spell to die.. But just like Lily she’d been saved by a bright light….
