Dante chuckled weakly. "I suspect everyone but you two. My job is to gather information. That's all they wanted me for, at least." He spat to the side again, growing irritable at how much blood was coming for his mouth. He winced, pressing his tongue hard against his teeth, checking them quickly just in case. It was just a tiny cut, then?

He heard Rain's comments, quirking a brow curiously. "Eh? They are?" He thought for a moment before shrugging. He was surprised as the pain that had flooded his earlier was gone. Not just in the fresh wounds of course, but the old. He stumbled back as he was let free, rubbing his dizzy head. "Oi, Rain, stop trying to make yourself look special with all those insults. It doesn't befit you." He was about to say more when Eme spouted up some nonsense. "You really are a moron. Why the Hell would they? They're the ones that manufactured those pills I gave you. I'll tell you right now, the faction I work with doesn't give a shit about civilians, only securing the target and bringing his back to base. Other than that, both of you can stop putting ridiculous titles onto it." He he stretched out his arms, fixing them after being held in such a strange manner.

Rain shivered as she felt herself being picked up but strangely did not resist. Why she didn’t resist even she didn’t know, but she let herself be picked up and simply blinked, glancing at Dante. She didn’t much care what he said now… she knew what she needed to. She was just curious at this point what he’s reaction would be. As he spoke to her rain couldn’t help but grin darkly, saying with a shrug “You don’t think anything befits me……that’d suggest I have good qualities.” she actually did feel a little bad…..knowing it’d been less about who/what he was and more about her sister……..her beautiful sister’s death and how helpless it made her feel right now…. She hated this feeling….

Emeriya

Emeriya's eyes narrowed.
"I wasn't saying they would. I'm just saying if they do..."
She watched as he flexed his newly freed limbs. She looked at Rain.
"You need rest..."
Her eyes glanced between them.
"You guys can bicker tomorrow."
Turning her back to Dante she walked toward the Inn with Rain in her arms.

"Fuck...!" He watched to two as they left rubbing his numb jaw. What the Hell? They got to beat on him that entire time, searching for an answer, and when they finally got it they act indifferent and irritable. Dammit! What was with women these days!? He whipped his arm back, smashing it into the tree behind him as he hissed before heading off towards town.

There was no pride left in him anymore. He truly hated this place. The last thing he needed was to be beaten up by women. His hands shook violently as a subconscious fear pumped adrenaline through his body.

He hated women!

As Eme suggested she needed rest the slightly feverish Rain shrugged and glanced to her exposed belly. “Eme… I’m fine… I could even walk” she replied, though her head was pounding. She needed rest…… she needed to cry… she knew both these things but was too full of pride and stubbornness to admit it. She blinked a moment, glancing back as she heard Dante curse. She half smiled, though briefly she looked ashamed. She was a witch… there was other ways to find info then beating on people…. But… but she knew why she’d done it. If she was doing that then she couldn’t feel the pain of her sister’s death… but now without a punching bag… she felt it rushing in.

Emeriya

Emeriya's held rain closer to her as they went up the stairs, Rain was light in her arms.
"Don't strain yourself anymore then you need to Rain..."
With a mumbled incantaion she opened Rain's door and placed her in bed.
"You need all the rest you can get.."
She sat on the bed next to Rain.
"In your state you shouldnt have used that much magic out of anger.."

Rain half smiled at being held close, though she felt an odd curiosity. She would normally feel claustrophobic so close to another but she didn’t…perhaps because Eme was female… Perhaps because Eme was a sexy female, who could guess? As the other spoke though the stubborn woman simply shrugged, still pretending to be fine.

“Thanks Eme…” she replied as she was put in her bed, sitting up so she could take off her over shirt so all she was wearing was her blue bra like top and black pants. For once she didn’t think about the fact her scars would be revealed, simply to tired and hurting to bad to care. She could never sleep in sleeves… and her energy was too low to use a spell to change her cloths like she usually did. She then leaned on one arm, looking up at the other. “I….Thanks….for backing me up…I’m not use to that.” She added and looked away, clearly not use to having to thank anyone for anything. She nodded as the other spoke of magic she half smiled, reaching over to touch her shoulder. “I’ve used more….it….It wasn’t the magic that made me tired….”

Emeriya

Emeriya nodded.
"You're welcome..."
Her eyes roamed Rains scars, watching them twist and turn over her skin. Feeling a slight shiver as she urged to feel the scars under her fingertips. She loved the way that scars felt under her touch. It was one of the weaknesses many of her prey had had. She turned away, hiding a blush as her throat burned ever so slightly, she tried to make it look as though she was just staring off into space.
"Then..What was it?."

“A fever….” Rain admited first, reaching up to place her hand over her own eyes to hide the tears as she added in a whisper “And lily….dying. I tried so hard to heal her …but nothing worked. It…was unlike anything I’ve seen before. I lost her again…” She sighed, shaking her head as she curled up a moment then, wrapping her arm around her own pillow and laying on her belly so that Eme wouldn’t see any tears. She closed her eyes, breathing deeply. She was alone….again.

Emeriya

Emeriya's eyebrows furrowed as she laid next to Rain, gently pulling her into her arms and holding her, letting Rains head rest against her chest. As she stroked her hair she whispered.
"There was nothing you could do Rain..."
She rested her chin ontop of rains head as she held her. This is what her mother did to her when she got like this. Just hold her and tell her everything would be alright.
"It will all be ok...We wont leave you..."
Emi could feel her eyelids get heavy as she tried to sooth Rain.

Rain gasped slightly in surprise at being suddenly pulled into the other’s chest. She then shivered, leaning on the other woman and trying not to cry though she knew the tears would come….even if it had to wait till she fell asleep. She knew she hadn’t been able to do anything….but it was the same way last time too and it drove her crazy. Why with all her power couldn’t’ she save the one’s she loved? Even as she thought this she squirmed a little, as she now began to cry silently and she was trying to avoid tears falling on Eme’s chest. It was hard though….as she was falling asleep and one arm had instinctually wrapped around Emeriya’s waist.

Emeriya

Emeriya shivered as Rain's arm went around her waist, but let it pass. She closed her eyes and let Rain cry on her.
"Just let it out...Let it all out...and...sleep..."
And with those words Emeriya drifted to sleep, holding a crying Rain in her arms.
