Oni could feel frustration come from the girl and then the bed was gone. He landed with thud on the ground even more terrified. He stopped screaming and tried to shove himself further into the corner. His eyes whipping around with a bit of craziness in them. He had to run but he was too weak and . . and they wanted to hurt him. They were going to kill him too.

{haha, yeah ^^' I feel kinda bad...*laughs* should we just wait for kage? ^^; I really don't like to leave people behind... especially when Ti's supposed to be in the room xD;;}

Dante's eyes went wide at the information. "You..." He glared at her before shaking his head furiously. "You... damned bitch!" He placed a hand in front of his face for a moment as he stopped. "There were other routes! And here you are talking about it as if it were nothing special!" He glared at her again, this time reaching out and snatching her by the collar. He didn't care if she felt fear- if anything, that would be ideal. "What would you rather do, feel a bit of pain to help your dear beloved sister live, or watch her die again. I don't care what the fuck was going through your heads at the time, or wither Xanic tried to gut you all. There was a reason behind it all, and you killed him off!" He finally released he before marching off, thoroughly pissed now.

What were people THINKING these days!? Could they have even tried to understand the situation? Oni and Xanic had survived so far, which meant Oni had no issues with giving himself pain. He probably didn't know it was keeping his brother alive this entire time, though, seeing as to how Xanic had begun abusing his other half. If Oni had been able to do it before, he could God Damn well do it again!

Rain gripped her hands into fists but said nothing a moment, doing her best not to react with her usual panic attack. She only spoke as he grew quiet, knowing she’d made the best choice available. She spoke darkly, but truthfully then.

“Oh yes….there was reason Dante. The body could no longer hold two souls, so Xanic was deliberately killing Oni’s off so that he could live instead of Oni. I wanted to Bind Xanic from doing that so I could find Xanic a vessel and them both live……but that was not what Xanic chose. He’d rather kill his ‘beloved’ brother then trust me and give me time to find a body and them both live. I may be a bitch, but I gave Xanic the option….and he didn’t take it…and I don’t care who hates me for it.”

She spoke coldly, simply and not caring if he paid attention as he walked away, and then walked forward towards the Inn. She walked quickly, not looking at Dante then. She felt her hands shaking from being roughly grabbed by a man but she would endure it all….to save oni. She felt guilt, but not for what she did….but for what had occurred. She should have gone in with Rin….maybe then she could have stopped whatever went wrong that caused him to die instead of be bound….

"Then don't bind him! Just rip him out and throw him in another body! It isn't that fricken hard!" He spun around, accusing eyes trapped on her. "How the Hell did you assume that Xanic was trying to take over and kill of Oni? What evidence do you have of such a far-fetched claim? Did you ask the bastard?"

Oni stood up quickly, getting dizzy but not caring and made a clumsy but successful bolt through the door. He managed to make it to the stairs but let out a cry as he fell down them.

(edited earlier post for less noise and had him run. . .maybe that will work?)

Rain shook her head, “Experience, simple experience. You may not believe me but I honestly don’t give a damn. And the severing required to do that would be more likely to kill Xanic's soul then the binding….the binding should have been harmless…I don’t know what went wrong. I didn’t do the binding because I was to emotionally involved so could mess up and figured it’d be safer if another did it…..Being wrong about that is the only mistake I made…”

She sighed a moment and walked quietly towards the inn again, clearly done defending herself. She knew through ways she could not explain that Xanic was indeed going to kill him…….that hate, that fear in his eyes…he would have killed Oni and all of them to live. He’d become nothing more then a wild beast desperate for survival. She didn’t think anything could have saved him…..even if he’d lived. Rain shook her head once more, simply heading for the door in thought. What had gone wrong she didn’t know….. But she’d chosen to go with someone older then her, emotionally uninvolved, and more experienced with this and she’d thought that would prevent a mistake…..She would check on Oni when she could get in the room.

"You couldn't suck his brother out because you cared?" Dante shot back. "It's not like you're cutting him open and staring at his organs. You're not a doctor! Transferring his soul has nothing to do with emotional involvement." Or, Dante thought. But it made sense, right? Who the fuck would screw up something like that? If you really cared, you're do it. If you didn't care, you'd allow someone else to fuck everything over.

Dammit- WHY DID HE CARE SO MUCH!?

He scratched his head irritably, remembering that night that Oni had spent with him. Even if Dante had been tiny at the time, he'd never been hugged like that before. He had never been able to really... relax. He had had the best of dreams that time. Oni had done that for him, and now the boy was ruined. Oni didn't deserve any of this. He didn't deserve to lose whatever family he had had.

He breathed deep, continuing on after Rain. They were close enough for them both to hear it- a terrible scream from inside. He looked up, then looked to Rain, almost expecting her to rush in first. She was supposedly more caring for the kid, right? Even though she hardly seemed distressed, mind you.

“actually it does, more so then physical sur-” Rain started to explain tiredly, annoyed at his lack of magical understanding. Hearing the scream she glanced in, instantly forgetting dante. That sounded like Oni. With a quick spell she threw open the door, not wanting to pause for even opening the door. She raced to Oni and bit her lip, wanting to hug around him but unsure she could without scaring him. She spoke softly to him, “Oni….Oni it’s okay, something went wrong and something terrible happened but it’s okay….” She tried to approach him on the stairs carefully, her hands relaxed and at her side to show she had not hurtful intent.

Good lord, she just didn't get this kid! She watched him in complete confusion as he ran out the door. For a few moments she just sat there at a total loss, but then she heard him scream again and jumped up. Dashing out of his room to the stairs, she caught sight of Rain and Dante - returning together? - and Rain approaching the purple-haired boy. Making note to restore the bed later (it was still mysteriously missing from the room along with the entire door), Chie took a couple steps down the stairs, pausing on the third one from the top. "I swear, do I look like a demon?" she grumbled as she looked at the boy sprawled across the stairs.

When Oni finally came to a tumbled stop at the bottom of the stairs a sick snap was heard and then pain shot up his leg. He saw another person coming toward him. He wasn't sure what it was saying but he knew it was bad. He whimpered and tried to get up to run. For some reason his leg wouldn't hold him and he crumpled to the ground. He was a bit crazed and only knew people were trying to hurt him. Not being able to walk Oni began to use his arms to drag himself away from more tormentors.

Dante followed suit, hurrying into the Inn after Rain. He spotted Oni in a crumpled mess on the ground in an instant, gritting his teeth as a shot of pain hit his heart. That leg looked... wrong. Broken. It was have to be fitted back into place before any healing magic could do it any good. ... Right?

He moved slower, noticing the panic in Oni's eyes. No... if he saw Rain, he wouldn't be in panic, he'd be a sobbing mess and clinging to her. This was wrong. He was seeing something else. He was fear driven; a fogged up mess. "Rain..." Dante huffed. "He'll keep running from you. He's out of it." He'd dealt with psychotics, narcotics, and only other -otics you could think of between the mafia and government. He'd seen this behavior before. Slowly he knelt down, staying in place and biding his time, hoping that Oni would calm down and not resist at first. He didn't want to kid to hurt his leg any further. If this didn't work, knowing Oni, he had another route- one he didn't favor so much.

Good lord, he'd broken his leg? Chie felt a small twinge of guilt. She'd only wanted to ask him why he'd made that horribly sad scream, she hadn't intended for him to hurt himself... geez. The girl sighed, mumbling incoherently to herself as she stepped lightly down the stairs. Pausing at the bottom, looking at Dante and Rain, she sighed. "I'll fix it. Though my 'fixing' is a bit different from healing...but I feel as if it's my fault he ran..." Chie could manipulate matter; and matter was, well, just about anything and everything. A broken bone was easily fixed; she just couldn't replenish lost blood, get rid of pain, or jumpstart internal organs - nothing of that sort - but things like broken bones were a simple matter.

“Oni… Oni calm down. You’re going to hurt yourself.” Rain whispered softly, sighing and walking towards him. She’d have to heal his leg it seemed… and it broke her heart seeing him like this. What had Rin done while he was in there? She never should have trusted that man…she couldn’t help but think darkly that she never should have trusted a man to begin with….Especially not with magic…

She glanced at Dante, biting her lip. She raised her hand, her mind rising onto magic that she could just lift him. But seeing his fear…seeing Oni’s face… she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She looked away, stepping back t the wall a moment. “I….I can heal his leg easily….but only if we can get him still.” It was odd really… she looked just as defeated as in the moment lily died.She simply nodded as Chie spoke, not really carying who healed him as logn as someone did....

Oni continued his attempt to flee. He was crying now and whimpering when ever he jostled his leg. Everything was fuzzy and painful. Xanic had been killed and now people were trying to kill him. He couldn't move fast enough and it seemed there were even more now than before. He was terrified out of his mind. He was going to die now too.

"Chie..." Dante looked up at the little girl. "He isn't just afraid of us, he's afraid of you as well. Back off. It's better than he can't run around." Episodes like this usually ended bad, but as long at Oni was in a secured environment, he'd be fine. Well, this wasn't very secure, he the kid could hardly move. He had to crawl just to get away from him. He bit his lip, glancing towards Oni once more, hoping that something could be done to stop this soon. But he had to have patience.

Patience...

Patience...

Damn, he hated patience.

Oni made it to a semi small dark place. All his mind registered was that it was dark. Dark places were good placed to hide. Crawling under the table Oni curled up and tried to stop crying. If he made noises they would hear him and find him. He bit his lip and began to rock gently back and forth. It's safe in dark places. . .

((His line of thinking- I can't see you so you can't see me, lol. Poor Oni, thinks he got away))

Rain looked down a moment, simply watching as he crawled under the table. For once she was letting Dante take the lead, unsure what to do. She’d never seen him so terrified… So she kneeled slightly and ran a hand through her hair, speaking softly. “Oni….Oni no one’s going to hurt you, please calm down.” She spoke in a helpless whisper, wishing she could reach over and heal him so badly.

Chie gave a slightly apologetic smile to Rain as the girl seemed unable to stand looking at the boy in pain. Her eyes followed Oni as he struggled away under the table. And while she appreciated Dante's warning, her sort of power only required the smallest amount of contact for a very short amount of time. She spoke while taking the last few steps towards the struggling man, "He'll likely still feel pain... I can't help that, I'm not a healer." She stopped beside the table, then crouched down, lightly touching a finger to the broken leg and rearranging the bone that had broken. There were a couple of popping sounds, like the noise you heard when you popped your knuckles, and then Chie stood and straightened herself. It had only taken a few seconds. "Your leg's fine now...though I can't say it won't still hurt for a while. Perhaps when you are calmer the lady can take away the pain." She spoke in a calm voice to the purple-haired boy, glancing over to Rain as she mentioned 'the lady'. Chie wasn't really certain if he was actually listening or not...but either way, she felt slightly drowsy from using her powers thrice in a row now. Turning to Dante and Rain she smiled a small smile, "Perhaps you will be able to calm him down, I must go sit for a bit...I'll put the door and the bed back later." She inclined her head slightly and then stepped lightly to the front doors, sitting down on the top step and leaning her head against the frame. "It's been a while..." she mumbled to herself. Yes, it had been a while since she'd really used her powers - though the feats themselves were small, she had gotten used to not using them at all. Besides, just maintaining this appearance took quite a bit of energy.

Rin woke up in his room once more. He looked himself over he had recovered for the moat part but was still not 100%. He headed into his wahroom to get the blood off his face.
