He wanted to hug her but wasn't sure if she would want that. He sniffled and said, "It isn't okay but . . but I just wanted to make him feel better. I know I don't know what's all going on but I just wanted to help him. I don't like being mean." He knew he sounded pathetic but it was all true. "P. . please leave him alone while he sleeps. I promised him I would keep people away but we both know I wouldn't be good at stopping anyone so . . so please just let him sleep," he begged not knowing how else to fulfill his promise to his sleeping friend.

“I only refused to leave him alone in the first place because it was necessary to get some information…. You think I liked any of that?” Rain snapped a moment, sitting her coffee down. She sighed and stepped forward off the wall before giving him a hug with one arm. “Sorry… just tired… “ she murmured as she rubbed her forehead with her free arm. She hadn’t meant to snap at him, she was just tired of being treated like she was torturing Dante…and simply for her own pleasure at that.

Oni flinched when she snapped at him. He wept saying between tears, "I. . I just want him to sleep one night. . .p . .p. . please." Maybe this was like when Xanic was doing bad things. Maybe something was inside Dante making him do bad things too. Even so couldn't he rest for one night? Oni was all tumbled inside and worried not only that he had been mean to Rain but now he wouldn't be able to keep his promise to Dante. Weakly he said, "I. .I . . I promised him Rain. I don't wanna be a liar."

“I have the information I need now……just hush.” Rain cooed in a tired way, simply patting him one more time as she released him from the hug. She sat at the kitchen table then, still peering out the window as she returned inward to her thoughts. Spell after spell was flashing in her head but doing no good…none of the usual spell’s would work. She didn’t look at Oni now, not seeing anything to say to him. She didn’t want to tell him about the warlock…if nothing else she doubted he could pretend like he didn’t know when around Dante.

Oni rubbed his eyes wiping away the tears. He stood there unsure of what to do. Since he had spoken to Rain should he go lay down with Dante? He shuffled his feet and said, "Do you need me for anything? I . . I was thinking of getting back to Dante."

Rain glanced over at him a moment, simply studying him. Finally she saw his nervous motions and shook her head, saying only “It’s okay….go back and lay down with dante…” in a soft voice. She then turned to look at the window again, closing her eyes in thought.

Oni softly said, "Thanks." He scampered off back into the med room. He was sad at what he had said to her. He hoped everybody could get things figured out and all get along. He didn't understand what was going on but he really wanted everyone to be nice. He crawled up next to Dante and snuggled him. He made sure they had some covers over them as well. Not long Oni too fell asleep.

Rain sighed inwardly, laying her head on her arms and half laying on the table as Oni left….determined not to let him see her ‘weak’. Closing her eyes she simply let herself rest, her mind still rolling over possibilities. She knew she’d likely fall asleep that way if she didn’t get up or get interrupted but she didn’t care….so she continued to rest her head and think....

Arina shuffled around in her bed. She was having a bad dream and little whimpers escaped from her. Suddenly she bolted up straight her eyes were pure black and her skin was stoney white. She blinked a few times in a bit of a panic confusion letting her heart settle. The silver color returning to her eyes and her skin turning back to it's normal hue. She sighed in a bit of relief as she realized where she was. She scooted to the edge of her bed and stood, making her way to the closet. Today she wanted to be warm, so she pulled out a long simple dress and a small coat with velvet material that was lined with fake fur. She put her hair up with a little hat. It had curled last night so she let a few lose strands frame her face before she made her way down the stairs.

Rain awoke still on the table, her shoulders slightly cramped. She stretched a moment, cracking her shoulders loudly with a satisfied smile. As she rolled her shoulders she enjoyed the feeling, happy to have a little tension released though it didn’t solve the events of last night. Oh well…. She would find a way, she just needed to think… like him….

She could hear someone approaching and pushed back out of the chair to see who it was. Seeing Arina, whom she hadn’t really gotten to see much of, she waved. “Hey.” She greeted with a yawn, watching for a moment. She was pretty, but all she really knew about her personality was the stone lady… The idea made her smirk, at least she knew the girl had heart anyway…

Arina smiled and waved. "Hello there, Rain I believe it was." She said hesitating a moment before the name. "I've not really had much a chance to talk to you, so if I got it wrong I do apologize." she bowed her head a little preemptive apology. She made her way back behind the bar. "Something to drink?" she offered as she made a pot of tea. As an afterthought she made a pot of coffee just in case Lukas might wake up that day.

Coffee sounds good.” Rain responded to the question of drinking before returning to the rest of it. She smirked a moment, walking to perch on a bar stool. “no… I‘m rain” She said with her usual smile, not showing any of last night’s stress. It wasn’t a surprise…considering how Rain was… Give her a cup of coffee and a nights sleep and she’d act like it was fine with the world around her ears….speaking of coffee…

It took Arina a moment. "I almost started to question what I'd said." She admitted pouring the cup of coffee. She passed it over the counter and poured herself tea, leaning in her usual spot. "So Rain, how do you like it here so far?" Arina asked curiously. "I try to make an appearance every so often but I always seem to be busy, or sick. For that I apologize again. Do you like your room?"

Rain reached over and took the coffee eagerly, sipping it with a grateful sigh. She closed her eyes and melted a moment, coffee calming her as nothing else could. She didn’t know why it had this effect on her being it was a stimulant, but it did. As Arina spoke one of Rain’s typical blunt answers came out, “Oh it’s lovely, I’d think it a peace of heaven if not for the evil spirits and hunters, but then again they followed me here so I suppose it’s my own fault anyway.” Rain chuckled at the last and closed her eyes.

Pre'acha'n's nose twitched, telling him there was a pot of coffee made. He rolled over, thining he was in his bed. He fell off, naturally, and sat upright, looking around. "Huh? Oh, right. I slept down here..." He stood up, walking towards the smell of the coffee. "Coffee?"

Coffee….” Rain answered Preacher’s, pointing towards the pot. She was still sipping her own, that same calmed look upon her face. Taking a few breaths she glanced over the bird a moment, remembering moving him off her lap. She couldn’t help but half smirk as she remembered how scared he was her at times. The one time she does anything towards him and he sleeps through it. She half laughed before saying softly “Morning birdy”

Pre'acha'n trudged to the coffee pot, getting a cup and pouring himself some. "Hn? Oh, yeah, morning," he answered, blinking sleepily and looking around for sugar and creamer. "Hey, uh, do you know where the sugar and creamer are?"

Rain rolled her eyes, not understanding why people added such things to her ‘perfect’ drink. Still she simply stood, having seen where they were when Arina was cooking. Still sipping the warm drink she pointed out the cream and sugar, her own cup staying snug in her hands. She didn’t say a word about it, simply saying “There… Was dante’s break bad?” she asked softly with a look of fake boredom.
