Realizing that her fear was true, that she had developed an attraction to the old vampire. She blushed faintly but hid it with a tilt of her head, her hands crossing behind her back as she stood straight as a board. She felt a strange feeling that she was being watched, though all eyes seemed to be on the horse. It caused her to shift uncomfortably but she looked only at Arina a moment.

As the vampire spoke, however, her eyes slide back to him and beneath the black cloth her lips turned a deeply annoyed brown. She had hopped to avoid this. “I heal quickly Miss Arina, do not alow my scratch to worry….it is not even worth mentioning….” She said in her usual soft, formal tones as she gave both a slight bow. She allowed a flicker of emotion pass through her eyes as she looked at the vampire, a soft annoyance seeming to beg him to drop it.

((Hey, sorry for being gone so long, could you catch me up?))

Hito looked over smiling and bowing lightly to her. "If you say you are well my lady then we can leave you be. If you do need assistance just let us know." He could still smell the blood but he could see and hear the pride and stubbornness in her. He suppressed the urge to chuckle but did not press her further. He had come across his fair number of people who wished to be as independent as possible. It was both a good and bad trait and he just hoped she knew when to ask for help.

((Before thanksgiving, nothing much was happening, but Amoni had just been there a day or two))

((lol you didn't miss much. Amoni and Oni talked about noting important. A different day Oni and Ti went to Chinatown. Rin and Cat are around talking. Amoni, Arina and Hito are out in the stables. The last few days nothing really happened.))

Seeing his bow seemed to surprise her faintly, and it had. She had not been returned that type of behavior well….since her old fashioned father…. She shook off the thought and the small flattery of being called a lady. She wouldn’t let it get to her… she could not allow herself to feel for someone…especially not one clearly desiring the beautiful blond she observed with some amusement. "It is appreciated..." She muttered in response to Hito.

She walked towards the nearest horse, her walk a little stiffer from the pain in her side but not too concerned with it. It would heal, due to her life’s work she got hurt a lot and there was small faint scars of it here and there upon her arms and legs particularly. She paused as she reached the horse, humming to the horse so her voice would feel it with a deep comfort and stroking its nose. She did not want to leave…but did not know what to do with the two nearby, especially the vampire.

Pre'ach'an settled onto the branch. The cold had stopped bothering him. How long to the first snow here? He looked around at the frost-laden ground, thrying to think of when it would come. Aww, no need to be worried this year. There's the Inn for now. He settled further onto the branch, looking at the stables.

Arina looked over to the girl she'd only just barely held conversation with. "If it's ever too terrible just tell me, I'm particularly talented in the healing arts." She said softly, how many time had she had to heal ti, at least every meeting in the beginning. She stifled a snicker at the thought before turning her attention back to the vampire. "Well, I am going to get snacks for the lovely creatures in here. I'll only take a moment..." She excused herself before trotting off back to the in and grabbing a fairly large basket.

"Okay Miss Arina," he said as she trotted off. So many independent women, made a gentleman feel useless. He gave a quiet chuckle but it was refreshing as well to know that these women could handle themselves. The scent of the other's blood though reminded him once again he would need to feed. After living so long though Hito had amazing control. He could go quite long without feeding but he always found it best to do so.

While Arina was busy treating the horses Hito walked forward to the other lady and said lightly, "The animals are beautiful are they not?"

She flickered an ear, listening absently to the others as she continued to gently stroke the horse. She thought she heard a bird but could do little, not turning from the horses. She enjoyed the soothing velvet of their fur on her bare finger tips…she’d always connected with animals better then people...

As Arina spoke she bowed gently while stopping her light humm, saying a soft “I’ll keep that in mind….I am careful miss…” She then turned back to the horse, wondering if Hito would follow. Inwardly she made a bet he would but he surprised her…staying and speaking.

It caused her to blink, her lips returning to that same embarrassed pink…causing her to inwardly thank the stars for her veil…she knew what color they would be. “Yes….they are beautiful…” Amoni responded, glancing to look at him as her hand continued to delicately brush the horses nose. “I apologize if I interrupted you and Arina…. I had intended to keep the wound away from all until it was healed….I heal….rapidly enough.” She said softly, knowing Ti and Arina were lovers but also observing Hitos admiration too.


Noticing a familiar raven the cat jumped onto a branch just below him, having been caught in the cold.the air had been a little warmer earlier..... It shook its sleepy form and nodded a greeting, Tilting its head to the side it mewed softly. It enjoyed company… though not the cold.

Pre'acha'n looked down at the cat on the branch below him, cawing softly when it mewed greeting. Nice to see you here, too. Not that you could hear me, but it's the thought, right?

The cat hopped up at the caw, sitting on the branch next to him. It could not hear his thoughts yet, but it began to purr and put a paw over the ravens foot gently so they could hear each other. “So cold…. Maybe you’ll warm me up.” The cat said with a sniff, nuzzling into the birds feathers.

"You have no need to apologize Miss Amoni. Miss Arina was kind enough to show we around and at the moment she is tending to the animals." He brought his own eyes to look into her own and said,"I do not doubt you are a quick healer but those who refuse help at all turns tend to find dead ends." He had been a teacher too long and was still giving little lessons. He should have bothered Tidus this morning to get it out of his system. Quickly he said, "It is now my turn to apologize for giving advice that was never asked for. Please excuse my rudeness."

Pre'acha'n squawked when he heard the cat. How did you do that? Can you even hear me now? He shifted the foot that was farther from the cat, then thought about what it said and flipped a wing over it's body. Better?

Amoni nodded as he spoke, still touching the horses nose a moment longer. She did not know what to say a moment. It felt rude to voice that she felt he would have preferred she had not entered, but then again she wouldn’t have anyway. Amoni was to cautious to say anything she was not one hundred percent certain of…She found her thoughts could not linger too much longer as she realized he held her icy silver gaze…unusual…

As he apologized Amoni couldn’t help but laugh, putting a hand over her mouth to stifle it before it could reach more then a slight chuckle. “It is alright… It reminds me of someone I cared for very much. A teacher too….. I simply see no need for the healer to feel my pain when it is not necessary…. I have seen her heal and it hurts her. I will simply wait the few hours necessary…I do thank you for your concern though…..It is….refreshing.” Amoni could not help the softest hint of sadness at the last word.


“A mage messed with me…. He caught me right in the middle of chasing a mouse then didn’t even let me get it…He called me a failure though… I think he wanted me to talk like a human and still look like a regular cat….Amoni saved me…” The cat paused, seeming content as it thought of its only friend…pulling the altered feline from the fireballs path meant to burn it alive… Shaking its head it snuggled further into the wing, closing its eyes and purring louder. “I can share my thoughts and feeling with contact though…. Amoni says that I’m not a failure. “ the cat rambled.

Well, she's right. I hope that fate catches up with that mage. Pre'acha'n tucked his wing more comfortably around the cat. Well, at least I can talk to someone in this form now. I'm so bored of having to shift if I want to say something.

Hito heard her laugh and said, "Well then I take back my apology. I'm glad I remind you of someone you care about and not someone you dislike." He paused for a moment taking in her reasons for not receiving help and said,"Then you were being kind and I really did need to apologize. I hope then that you will heal quickly."

“No….To doubt me is natural, I do not react as many do… and yes… the one you remind me of needs no apology… He saved my life when I was a young girl…and he raised me to be kind” Amoni smiled faintly, even with her training unable to keep the pure love and respect she held for her ’papa’ coming into her eyes. If he had left her she would have either been killed or kept in a cage, the villagers did not deny it.

She shook off the thought, her eyes falling to glance over the vampire curiously. She felt a slight embarrassment like any crushing person would when talking to the object of their affection, but her head stayed surprisingly clear. She did not understand the attention she was receiving even if she appreciated it.


“better then fate caught up with him…. Amoni did. He was hurting people and she can not sit by when that happens….I’m kinda afraid she’ll get herself killed someday…” The cat frowned, uncertain and annoyed. At the rest of the statement though, the ADD cat giggled and nuzzled into the dark feathers. “Heh…Yes, you do! I love to talk… but I have to touch you to talk…otherwise you can’t hear me.” The last was said with a rather pouty expression.

Then we both have a problem, don't we? he asked, shaking his head and re-aligning the feathers. One green eye stared at the cat. I hate not being able to do something when people are being hurt, but I can do the next best thing: get someone who can.

Hito got a bit of a smile as he watched her talk about the person and said, "I can see that he really not only means a great deal to you but that you care for him. I am honored that I would remind you of someone like that." He pet the horse and let his gaze wander to the animal. He wondered who this person was that she spoke so fondly of.

“He was a wonderful man….” Amoni said, her tone briefly quieting. She glanced to the side, hiding the slight sorrow in her eyes. “He died some time ago…but forgive me for monopolizing the conversation. I let my thoughts run away with me.” She seemed genuinely embarrassed and bowed slightly, uncertain of what to say. It had been some time since she’d simply talked openly about her past…


“Only if you don’t like my purr!” the cat teased lightly, nuzzling into the raven and relaxing a moment as cats were apt to do. Not feeling so cold Felicity was tempted to nap, being a cat and all. As he spoke the last the cat almost giggled in his mind, not opening its eyes. “I know how that feels…. I just get Amoni when that happens…”

"Do not apologize Miss Amoni. The best way to honor the dead is to remember them. I am glad you shared this with me. Now I know of him and that he was a good man even though I never met him. It is interesting how things like that make a person live on," he said gently to her glad he had been able to get her to open up a bit. There was nothing wrong with being proper or having manners but everyone needed to know how to have a little fun.

I just find the nearest person... Pre'acha'n watched the cat relax, mentally smiling. It was nice, she was warm. He looked around, too awake to nap like she seemed about to do. It was so quiet, and nothing really big had happened. He shifted slightly, wondering if something would. Not that he wanted it to, but peace rarely lasted around here...
