Gabriel suddenly realized how much Dante blushed whenever they were together, this would prove to be quite a problem. However...
"How long does the change take?."
Depending on how long...he might be able to keep their...relationship te same.

He knew she was uncomfortable with many thing and did not want to push her. He knew though that she would need encouragement to do the things she really did want to so he said, "I would like it since it feels nice but I do not want you to do anything that is unsettling. I am happy just being able to have you near, it is comforting."

Why?” Amoni whispered, playing with the dark strands a moment longer and letting them curl around her fingers. She closed her eyes a moment, glancing at the book in her lap but not really seeing it. She knew only that she found him attractive and apparently he felt the same about her, this…this was utterly impractical. “You…you don’t know me… You only know part….” The puzzled Halfling said gently, letting herself release the strands and stroke down nearer his chin before dropping her hand into her lap. She repeated to herself an inner thought, puzzled. “this makes no sense…”

((Lol Poor Amoni hasn’t a clue what she’s doing xD. Shes worse off then Janu, she‘s been taught letting your emotions run away with you like this just leads to an early death xD))

Hito kept his voice low and lazy as he spoke, "It is nice having you near because you are kind and give off a peaceful feeling. It helps that you are beautiful as well." He let out a little content sigh as she kept playing with his hair. "The best part is that we do not know each other. You love to read books don't you? People are like books and puzzles all wrapped into one. It's always interesting to take time to get to know them and learn what makes them who they are. The best part is that no matter how long you live there is always something new about them to discover. So why don't we just take time and learn about one another. How does that sound to you?"

She might have argued of him knowing she was kind but she knew he’d seen an embarrassing amount of her heart and did not know how much or how little he saw…or how long he listened. For a moment Amoni closed her eyes, her hands sitting in her lap. She finally nodded, looking over at him again. Reaching upwards she tucked one strand of hair behind his ear and said a simple, almost meek, “Alright…” Yes…. Knowledge, perhaps it would help. She thought of his book analogy but still worried, her ’papa’s’ warnings still ringing in her head …

He said, "I promise if you get overwhelmed or wish me to give space I will do it. When someone is a friend or is dear to you, you do not wish them to suffer. If you wish to know more about me you are free to ask. If I feel uncomfortable with the question I will say so." He hoped that perhaps she would feel better with the attention on him to begin with. Once she felt a little more comfortable he would ask her questions as well.

Dear to someone….now that was something she hadn’t been to anyone in a long time. Amoni let her lips twitch into part of a smile, nodding slowly as she glanced towards him. She felt a moment of uncertainty not sure what to ask though she was curious. She ran a hand through her hair and then began to re-braid it, realizing it was still down from earlier. “Well…Do you have a home or are you more a wanderer like me?” She asked quietly, the first question that came to her head…

He still had his eyes closed just enjoying the senses of touch and smell. He was a little sad when she moved her hand to do her own hair but he did not let it show. He answered saying, "I guess you could say my home is in Tidus' father's court though my original home is long gone. I prefer to wander or be near one of my kind especially if it is one I care about like Tidus."

“Do you have many you care for?” She asked absently as she continued the long braid, thinking over his answer. A court hmm? She knew little of those save how they could be abused….Still Amoni tried to keep from leaping to any judgment and simply focused on finishing her braid. She decided to use the moment with his eyes so safely closed to study his face in thought, trying to pick up something there….other then the fact it could make her heart beat a little faster to see his face….and did even now.

"No not overly so. When a teacher had too many students they can not care for or teach them properly. Besides I only take on the ones I find worthy and patient enough for the training," he said missing the contact of her fingers playing with his hair. He let out a small sigh and continued saying, "The worst thing about being in Tidus' father's court is that it can be painfully boring. Can you imagine a bunch of stuffy old vampires with no sense of humor trying to show how great they are to each other every night. It bugs many of them that I laugh as often as I do."

Finishing the braid she nodded, knowing her teacher had been similar…who his other students were, if he even had any, she didn’t know. He was growing weary by the time he found her…this much she knew. If not for his morality and the perils to her safety that had surrounded her he would have likely left her there…As he spoke of laughing, however, and ’stuffy old vampires’ she couldn’t help but smile beneath her veil. At least it seemed he was not a member who would be interested too much in power… She couldn’t help but feel a bit of mischief, reaching over as she touched his shoulder gently with her finger tips. “Dear sir I wouldn’t know, you’re the only old vampire I know.” She said in a pale attempt at a tease.

Hito's mood brightened when she touched him again and he let out another one of his barrel laughs at her words. "You are correct Amoni I am the only stuffy old vampire you know. It does my heart glad that you can tease. I'm afraid I tease Tidus a bit too much but I just can't help myself." He smiled happy to have her light touch and her teasing words.

For a moment she doubted herself, for she had never really teased much of anyone… But as he laughed she couldn’t help but smile a little and relax. So she had succeeded….”I’m glad, I’d never want to make your heart anything else….” She paused, blinking as for a moment she found her own words too….open, to friendly, too…intimate almost. She shook her head, her hand still resting on his shoulder as she continued afterwards, “I am not so sure you tease more then you should, you both seem to enjoy it I think…”

He warmed at her words and commented on her last statement saying, "I think you are correct. Tidus would be perplexed if I suddenly stopped teasing him. I bet he would think I was possessed or something of the sort."

Amoni smiled at the words, nodding in agreement. She slowly let her hand drop, leaning her shoulder against his and placing both hands in her lap. She felt a moment of uncertainty, thinking of what to say. Part of her thought of teasing but most of her had shrunk back a little into familiar habits. So instead she simply spoke quietly, “Yes….and how would you teach him then” She flushed a little, sitting shoulder to shoulder with him, letting herself lean just a tiny bit. She was not good at conversation and yet… she didn’t want to let silence stretch either…

He moved only a little to get comfortable and said, "I teach them many things. Physical training, abilities, control, studies and so on. I won't bother going into all the details of each one but they can be long and tedious. Tidus, don't ever tell him this, but is one of my best students. I am proud of the boy."

As he shifted Amoni blushed faintly, thinking maybe she’d done something wrong. Instantly her spine became as straight as a ruler and she glanced at her hands, sitting again so she was not leaning on him. She murmured a soft apology and then to hide her awkwardness spoke to what he said. “I can tell… and if he is like most I imagine he knows already….even if one never says it…”

Hito immediately felt her go rigid and move. He opened his eyes and said, "I'm sorry I was just getting more comfortable. I did not mean anything by it. I'm sorry for making you uneasy." He sat up and ran a hand through his hair. He smiled at her and said, "I really did enjoy you playing with my hair though. It was nice."

Amoni nodded, having thought his shifting due to her ‘overstepping her bounds’. She blushed faintly, glad that her veil could hide her failure to control the emotion…and the soft frown on her face. She pushed the frown away, speaking softly now. “I…am glad, I am just sorry I made you uncomfortable and have to move…” She looked at her toes, saying nothing for a moment. “I do apologize.” She murmured formally, still misinterpreting a bit but unaware.

He gave a soft kind laugh and said,"No Amoni I was just moving so we could both lean against each other comfortably. I liked the contact and your warmth is nice to have near my cold skin. Do not think you did anything wrong." He slightly leaned on her once more and said softly,"Should we try that again? It was comforting."

Amoni blushed a little as he laughed and she realized her mistake, glancing to the side. She said a soft “Oh!” and felt a moment of embarrassment that for a moment she couldn’t react. She let herself lean a bit then… Her eyes lifting to his face for a moment to watch his reaction. She waited for any sign of displeasure, letting her body lean into his.

Hito let his pleasure show on his face as she slightly leaned in herself and said lightly,"You're warm. Did you have more questions for me Amoni? It nice relaxing here with you just talking. Oh if the fire is too warm for you let me know and we can move. I like fire since it also warms my cold skin."

Amoni let herself relax a little further, her gaze dropping to the floor. For half a second she closed her eyes, just enjoying the stolen moment of being near another being, relaxed…vulnerable…but safe. She ignored the alarm bells that went off at the word, simply focusing a moment on letting herself relax.

As he spoke again she opened her eyes, shaking her head. “I’m alright… and I don’t know Hito…I am curious but I think I must think more, so perhaps latter.” She said quietly, glancing up at him from under half closed lids, her lashes half hiding her. She let herself grow quiet.
