Lukas couldn't help but laugh at that. "Well, it suits you well." He said and took another sip of coffee. "Oh, I can just take the shirt off to avoid ruining it." He said before stretching a bit. "I guess, you're really curious, c'mon, we'll go out back now." He said walking through the kitchen unbuttoning his shirt.

Sylvia couldn't help but laugh fluttering her face above Rains before she moved back as she was getting up. "Magic is finiky isn't it.?" she asked smiling "And here I thought you might just be a normal girl. But then again, no one here is really normal right?" She laughed again landing on her feet and offering a hand to help "I suppose it just can't be helped. Magic attracts magic and so on."

Oni jumped up and followed him barely able to control his excitement. He was going to see real wings, dragon wings! Lukas was so cool. He wondered what color they were and how big they were. He had a billion questions but was too excited to get any of them out.

As he walked out the back door he dropped the shirt on the ground and went a little away from the building. "You might want to stay by the door for a moment, unlike Arina, I'm a little messy." He told oni turning toward him. He took a deep breath, then he tensed up and though as practiced a million times, the bones splith through the flesh, creating a spatter of blood to shoot out behind him. Once they were all the way out the bones began to grow scales, and in between them a light skin was starting to stretch out as they expanded. At full expansion, both wings were about as big as him, and pale white like his skin.

Who said anything about magic” she responded dully, rubbing one of her hips slightly where a scar happened to be. She’d already been tortured for being a witch before, she wasn’t much interested in repeating the process. Yes…everyone here was strange, but that didn’t mean they liked witches any more then humans did.

She then took the fairy’s hand with a muttering of “thanks” and stood fully, though wincing again as her back decided to complain once more. She dismissed it, however, and glanced down, thinking. Seems nobody heard her…. The cat mean while fluttered to land next to the felines hand, nuzzling it as if to reassure her.

Oni did as Lukas instructed him and stood obediently by the door. He didn't get what he said by being messy but he figured he would see in a moment. Oni let out a gasp as the bones came out shooting blood out as well. As soon as he was done getting them out Oni was both in awe and was worried. He asked, "Are you okay?" He remember Lukas saying it didn't hurt but it sure looked like it did. He took a step forward and said, "Is. . .is it okay now if I get closer?" He wanted to check and see for himself that Lukas was okay and he really wanted to touch his wings. Curiosity and concern were in his purple eyes.

Lukas smiled and nodded. "I'm fine now, and yeah, it heals pretty much as soon as they are fully out, so no more blood will get all over." He said turning slightly "See." he added showing the now closed up back around the wings. He knelt down a little knowing he was still a bit taller than the boy so he could touch anywhere on the wing he wanted.

Sylvia turned her head to the side "I may not be sensitive too it, but I can still smell it." She said. "I may be a fairy but I'm not stupid." She retorted slightly. She pulled her up and then saw her wince. "You, probably shouldn't be moving around too much. I'm not a healer so I can't much help with pain or anything." She said and led the way to the couch. "Though maybe there's one of those hot cool things around here somewhere."

Oni went toward him and cautiously reached out and touched his wings. Being able to touch him reassured Oni that he was indeed okay. Now he could let complete fascination take over and his hands explored his wings. He said almost reverently, "They are so beautiful." It made him want to have wings.

Lukas blushed a little at that "Thanks." He said letting him explore them. He stretched on out straight back and laughed a little "It makes you look so tiny." He joked for a moment. It actually was comforting that he was so strangly curious, it helped open Lukas up a bit more.

Oni giggled and said,"Xanic is always complaining about how short we are." Oni suddenly got an idea and said, "Hey lets see if you can hide me in one of your wings!" He was really having fun. Oni never realized how good it was to have a friend and he had the best person in the world as a friend. He was so lucky!

“I’m fine…don’t be stupid” She replied, never one to admit weakness…that just got you hurt. She bit her lip a moment as she walking behind the fairy, stretching a bit before laying on the couch on her belly. “I hit my back, I didn’t break it…” Rain sighed, glad the fairy wasn’t a healer or she might want to look under her shirt and see the scars on her upper back and shoulder.

"Alright, you'll have to come over on this side instead of in between them though, they don't bend that way." He responded folding the wing to his side, it should cover considering when put down on the ground the wing still came up to his chin, and it was pretty wide.

"Okay, I'm coming," Oni replied and hurried over to Lukas' side. Without Oni realizing it Xanic had come out of his own confinement. In fact he had been watching for some time now. He stayed very still to watch everything going on and make sure Oni didn't know he was peering out. He had been very mad at Oni last night but he just couldn't leave Oni all alone. He loved his brother too much for that. He had been keeping a very close eye on this Lukas.

"Still, could use one of those icy hot things, I wonder if they have any, I'ma go look, you wait there." She said walking off jabbering to herself. She looked through all the cupboards in the kitchen first. "Nope nothing in here." She said to herself then "maybe the closet..." she said moving in that direction." Not here either. She walked back and looked outside seeing the man with the huge wings. "oooh, pretty, he has wings, they're so much bigger than mine! and they're white!" she exclaimed excitedly she ran up to the door looking through it's window "oh wait, icy hot thinggie." She said reminding herself and went off to another room. She ended up finding one and went back to Rain. She started to peel off the thing to get to the sticky part. "So you're gonna have to lift up your shirt a little so i can stick this on you."

Lukas Tucked Oni in beneath his wing. "Hey look, you fit." He said with a smile. He staed still feeling the fairies eyes out the window then saw her leave. "You've even avoided our fairy's eyes." he laughed.

Rain listened to her move around and closed her eyes a moment, gripping the pillow a moment. She was still tempted to get up and try again, her stubborn streak kicking in, but she knew she’d have to at least get her muscles to stop screaming at her first. As the fairy returned she looked up, starting to say thank you when the other spoke of her shirt. “I’d rather not…” she stated quietly which was unusual for the normally so direct woman, thinking of her skin. It had spider webs of scars and even a few places where hot pokers had been put against her skin and burned deeply in. the back of her legs and arms were pretty bad too…… but the worse was on her upper back as that was where would make her scream the most at the time…

Oni giggled and said,"Lukas we did it! I do fit huh. It's kinda like a tent. Hehe, behold our mighty power. It protects even against sweet tooth fairies!" He snuggled up to Lukas' side and looked up at him smiling and said, "You're the nicest friend I've ever had!"

Xanic had enough of Oni fawning all over this strange guy. So what if he had wings, big deal. Rather rudely Xanic pushed Oni aside and came out. First he stepped away from Lukas. He brushed the front of them off, as if trying to get any Lukas germs off that might still be there, and said, "Please let me out. Though my brother is rather enamored by your oh so lovely wings I find it rather confining."

"Well, you're either goin gto do it willingly or I'm moving it myself." She stated while she peeled off the covering. "Id like to say I'm patient but, I'm sure you can tell I'm clearly not, so, please cooperate with me here or I'll make you, I can clearly see you're in pain, and I'm offering help. If you think otherwise, take in mind, I could have done it already."

Lukas eyed the lad "So, you must be Xanic, and here I heared you were nice." He let out sarcastically. "But by all means I'd not meant to make you any bit uncomfortable." He retorted straightening up and lettin his wing tuck behind his back like the other one. He stretched a bit controling one wing at a time could get your muscles strained a bit. "So, I suppose I should say It's a pleasure to meet you or something now, right?" he teased.

He tried not to glare too much and replied, "Oh I am nice. Well to the only person who actually matters." He stood a bit away from Lukas and went on, "Actually I was beginning to think that it was about time we met." Xanic sighed trying not to lose his temper remembering that this was for Oni and said, "I'll be honest. I'm not particularly fond of you or anyone else here. The truth is that Oni is and he trust you. My question is, can he? Can we trust you? We're sort of running out of places to go and the last thing Oni needs is someone stabbing him in the back." Xanic was at a loss. He wanted to protect Oni but it seemed Oni was right in some degree by saying they were indeed welcome here. He would never admit it but he had held Oni back for far to long by 'helping' him.

Oni watched the conversation from inside. He was elated that brother came back but also wished he would stop being so rude to Lukas.

Ti Woke with a start as the sheets of rain stopped falling. He sat up and looked around, remembering the night before, and saw Arina had left. He glanced over to the sleeping Janu and sighed, holding his head in his hands. 'Now what? Just when I thought my mind was set I let myself go again and fell deeper into this whole situation. I just can't win, we'll all get hurt in the end.' He stood then, pacing a bit before leaving the cave, his bare feet splashing in the puddles and the air cool on his skin. He stood still for a moment before he ran, his mind was fogging over with the need to release his anger. He darted into a small clearing, hands clenching and muscles burning. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before rushing forward again, striking out at the trees and rocks, his knuckles quickly getting bloody.

Rain frowned at her as she said something about taking it off herself. She looked away a moment, finally shrugging her shoulders. “I warned you…I wont answer any questions.” She finally said and took off the over shirt, revealing the skin on the back of her shoulders, arms, and on her upper back were covered with twisted scars and horrid burns. It looked like a war had been waged on her upper back and shoulders, not an inch left unscathed. It was an irony that her lower back was left prestine save a single mark her hair easily covered. She then leaned forward, laying on the shirt and giving the fairy an ‘I dare you to say something’ look.

Janu stirred slowly, waking up to find herself alone. Both Arina and Ti were gone and she began to panic, quickly standing. She began to step out, calling for them both as she suddenly had a sickeningly bad feeling about this. “TI!!!!!! ARINA!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?” She called out, stumbling from her headache but otherwise overcoming the alcohol’s affect on her. She then whimpered to herself “Please come back to me.” Clueless of what had gone on.

Lukas sighed. "What is it with you and your attitude. It's not quite as delightful to be around." He muttered. "I, will not hurt your brother, he's about the only one here who hasn't already gotten under my skin... emotionally. I don't see why I'd hurt you, if I was going to, I'd have done it already." He tried to explain using simple logic. "I also understand how you can be so...untrusting of the people here, but my sister has made this a safe haven for those who are... different." He said

Talianda snorted in his sleep, rollingover and into the banister. It happened to bump into his broken wing, and he woke with a rather loud yelp. He stood up, shaking dust and loose fur free. He watched a tuft fall, then sighed, walking down the stairs. "Hello? Is anyone else awake?" he called, reaching the bottom of the stairs and yawning.
