I love Disney even though I'm too old for it, and I hope to always love it. My favourite Disney movie has got to be Beauty and the Beast though.
I did like the Lion King though, Scar was great, as well as Timon and Pumba, and of course Mufasa ! I think that the sequel is equal to the first though, sometimes I even prefer it over it.

I'll always love Lion King. And the second one was cute. And despite some of it's negative feedback, I thought 1 1/2 was funny. Timon and Pumba were always awesome to me, and I thought it was a good way to give them their own story. Much better than this strange show they had on Disney Channel. They had really odd spin off shows from the classic movies.

I love that movie. I remember I watch that and Little Mermaid like a hundred times a day when I was little. We had to buy another copy of it because I watched it so many times I broke it. I actually liked the second one because it told us what happend during Simba's rein of Pride Rock. As for 1 1/2 I thought it was kinda boring. I mean ti didn't really add to the story line it just told us what Pumba and Timon were doing before and during the first one. So yeah you got my opinon on the whole Lion King series.

The Lion King will always have a special place in my heart. It remains to this day the most times I have ever seen a movie in the theater, I swear EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF MY FAMILY must have taken me to see it at one time. my uncle and I developed a bond over it he became Uncle Scar and he called me Shenzi. We still do today but not nearly as much.

I also find the sequel to be one of Disney's VERY FEW bests. I quite enjoy it and own the VHS and have the DVD on my wishlist.
The Lion King will always be my favorite Disney movie.

I don't really like the second all that much. It's like a chick-flick for Lions >.>

And I absolutely hate 1 1/2. It ruined the series severely, haha.

Any opinions?
I feel exactly the same as you. The second one seemed to deviate too much from the original feeling of the Lion King and I really didn't care at all about the characters :/ And they sort of corrupted the character of Scar (who, to me, always seemed like a solitary lion who prefered the company of hyenas) to make it seem as if he had this whole little pride-thing going on in the background during the original Lion King.

But I don't think 1 1/2 ruined anything :3 For me, I see it as a sort of parody and not anything to do with the actual story. So I sort of enjoyed it, even though it was a little annoying.

The Lion King was based off of Shakespeare's Hamlet and scar is the jealous character in Hamlet who also killed his royal brother.

1 1/2 was inspired by Shakespeare's play of the uncle's two henchmen who were sent to kill Hamlet.

I don't know the play but that is what I have been told. But yes in a way the second Lion King did deviate away because it is based on Romeo and Juliet. But I still enjoyed it although of course it doesn't measure up to the original.

I honestly loved the movie. 1 1/2 wasnt that bad, I thought it better than the second once, since it is Timmons back story and all. Though, I should find myself a VCR that still works(I know I have one in basement, just need to find cables too) and watch it again...along with all the other disney movies I have from when I was younger. I miss those movies, I might end up hosting a "Disney Night" sometime.
