A new kid at school and the popular girl. ~

He's the new emo-alternative kid at school, and all of a sudden he's got a make over. Totally new on the outside and lookin' good, but the inside hasn't change. Is there hope? Can she fix him?

Personality: Always nerdy as a little girl. It has taken her years to get where she is now. She'll do anything to keep it.

Age: 15 (near 16)
Personality: A true emo kid at heart. Casey has always been strange and is often misunderstood in his odd ways of thinking, which has led him to think he sis truly alone in the world- hence the 'emo-ness'. Casey has a nerdy side, and can be a bit geeky, and that sometimes contributes to his way of thinking and further more the misunderstandings.
Bio: Casey lived in the same house in Connecticut his whole life, but when his mother all of a sudden got an offer for a better job, the three of them packed up and moved right on out. Now, Casey has even more adjusting to do....

Ichigo sat at the lunch table as her friends talked about all of the new kids that year. When all of the sudden her friends had smirks and started to whisper looking at someone behind her. She quickly whipped around to see another new boy, the cutest of them all.

Casey entered the lunch room, hands in his pockets, glancing around a bit nervously. He looked to the group of girls staring at him and smiling from a table and decide to ignore it, and walked to the lunch line and grabbed some food. He went back to where the tables were and looked around. He saw a table towards the middle of the room where kids were bunched at one end, leaving a perfectly good other end for him to sit at. As he walked toward that table, he looked around at all the kids there.

It had been an okay day up to that point. No one had really bothered him, and he didn't really need to talk much up to that point. It would give him time to adjust, he supposed. Though, a little attention other than from afar would be nice. He shrugged mentally, 'Maybe they're afraid of me.' he thought, pondering the pros and cons of that scenario.

The girls crowded the middle of the table.
"Go for it."
They whispered. She walked over to him and pointed to the table she was just at.
"You can come sit with us if you would like."
Little did he know, everyone else in that lunchroom would risk their lives to sit at that table.

Casey looked up to see a very pretty girl speaking to him. He wanted to accept the offer, so he wouldn't be alone, but at the same time, he had to look at that table. It looked like they could be popular, and were probably going to pull a trick on the new kid or something... He sighed mentally, 'Ah, how cruel high school can be.' He looked back at the girl and then back toward the table he had been aiming for. Casey decided a trick or scaring them off would be better than being completely lonely right at that moment, "Alright. I'll follow you..." he smile a little, turning towards her to follow.

She smiled.
"Okay, right this way."
When she turned around, she winked at her friends. They winked back and sighed in envy. She went down to the end of the table and kindly asked that girl to move. Suddenly, the whole table moved down a seat and she sat down and just stared at her food with a blank look.
"That's disgusting."
She poked at the school's rubber hot dog and set the fork back down.

Casey followed her and set his food down, sitting down in the available seat. He looked between all the girls and smiled, revealing excellently white teeth, "Hello." then he looked back at the girl who invited him over, "It's better than nothing." he said to her, drowning his own with ketchup and mustard from the individual packages, "There are starving children in Africa and places like that." he shared his wisdom as he drowned the hot dog, then took a bite of it. When he swallowed the bite, "Plus, it's better than my dad's cooking most the time." he laughed.

She rolled her eyes at his bit of information until she realized...he was right. She took a bite of the rubber and laughed at his joke.

He smiled as she laughed. She had a nice laugh. When he swallowed the bite in his mouth, "I never got any of your names." he said, looking between the girl who invited him and the rest of the table. "I'm Casey, by the way."

She smiled.
"Im Ichigo...this is Katie, Stephanie, Wyatt, Carly, Cassie, Paul, Dominique, Paisley, Laurel, Jade, Paige, Paige, Samantha, Sam, Maleehah, Regan, Mary, aaaaaaand....Jace."
She was trying to catch her breath by the end.

Casey put his food down and looked down the table, amazed, "And you're all friends?!" he asked, unbelieving. "that's more friends than I've had in my life..." he said softly to himself, as more of a realization than sharing a personal fact. He looked back to the girl who had invited him to the table, the really pretty one, "Ichigo? So, you're from Japan...?" he asked. Casey had a fascination with Japan. He loved manga and anime, and the food... there was a lot he loved about it. He hadn't met anyone Japanese though ever. Well, obviously, coming from Connecticut, surrounded by woods and going to a small school.

That's when he realize, not only was this school bigger, but he was also being very social at that point. He shrugged mentally, 'It's not like I don't like people... some of them, they just don't like me.' he thought.

She laughed.
"Yeah...We sit here every day."
She looked at the smiling faces and listened to the side conversations for a bit then heard him speak again.

She hated the fact that she came from Japan. She was born there, but she never lived there.
"I was born there....then we came here."
She smiled and listened to all of the new gossip along with talking to Casey.

it was hard for me to name them all.))

((WOAH! 8O I used to sit with a pretty big group in high school, but not THAT big. xD))

He looked at her, "I've always wanted to go to Japan. Among other places, of course, but I would love to go there... What about you?" he asked. He was trying to make small talk, but he wasn't really sure what to say. Casey was too worried he'd start babbling and say something stupid or geeky and they'd kick him out... or, make him get away from their table.

She shook her head.
"Yuck no!"
She thought Japan was just boring with nothing to do or see. She never did want to go.

Casey was taken aback by this, and tilted his head a little, furrowing his eyebrows. Maybe they wouldn't get along anyways after all, "Why not? Don't you want to see where you came from? Or experience the culture or anything...?

She nodded.
"Yeah...but I don't travel..."

He tilted his head again, "Don't travel? Like, you don't like flying or... what?" he asked.

She shrugged.
"No...I just don't have time..."

Casey rested his chin on his hand, elbow on the table, abandoning his meal; he was too fascinated with the conversation now. "How is it you can't have time. What about the summer vacation, or..." he cut himself off, "I'm being nosy, aren't I?" he smiled sheepishly, "I guess it is none of my business anyway, you don't have to answer."

She shook her head.
"No, during vacations and weekends I go to work with daddy if I'm not with friends."
She said, not listening to the gossip anymore.

He nodded slowly, putting his arm down over the other on the table, "I see. What does your dad do?" he asked, probing into her life further, since she didn't tell him to back off yet. Seeing as she hadn't... yet... he figured that meant she wanted to talk to him about it.

She poked at the salad on her plate.
"He owns a construction buisness."
She really didn't like going to her dad's work. Everyone flirted with her and there was too much noise.

Casey laughed a little, "That doesn't sound like someplace for you. Especially not when you could be going places and stuff." Casey tilted his head. He had the feeling she didn't like it... either that, or he was making her uncomfortable. He couldn't tell which, and again, he didn't wasn't being told to bug off, so he would continue this 'interrogation'.
