She didn't look up. She was actually kind of ashamed.
"Uh...no."

Confusion crossed his face even more now, "Okay..." he asked shaking his head. He had no idea what to say, so he just looked at his shoes. "I should get to class then..."

She nodded and ran up the stairs and down the hall to her next class.
"Bye!"
She yelled from down the hall.

Casey shook his head, heading back up the stairs. That girl was odd. The way she kept running off on him was especially obnoxious. The bell rang and the kids filed out of lunch. Casey looked for the classroom and found it just as a flood of kids were coming up the stairs. He took a seat at the table nearest the window. Class went quickly, but then again, Casey had always liked Science. When it was over, he went back to his locker and dropped his book in there and went to study hall, in a room where he had already been.

She looked out the window and spaced out the whole time.
She always hated first days.
"The rules are...let's get to know each other"...it was all pointless.

Study hall was entertaining. He talked to a couple of the girls about what he had said to Ichigo in the lunchroom. They still apparently couldn't believe he did it. When class was over, he went back to his locker, less pissed then he had been before class. He took out his backpack, put the books he didn't need in his locker, grabbed the ones he needed and slipped them in. He paused at the locker, trying to think of what else he needed to do before he left. He had the temptation to look for Ichigo, but was second-guessing it.

She walked down the hall tapping her binder on her knees. She started whistling. She walked to the lobby area and sat down. She looked at the vending machines and all the kids passing.

Casey walked through the hall, shaking his head. He hadn't seen her, so he wasn't going to to go out of his way to find her. He walked through the hall and into the foyer, which was called "the Lobby" by the school for some reason, on his way to the car. He looked around as he walked and saw her again, sitting by herself people-watching. He walked over to her, thinking about what he could say to her. When he reached her, he stood a foot away, "How are you getting home?" he asked.

She put the ear buds from her i-pod into her ears and shrugged her bag up on her shoulder more. She looked up at Casey and took one bud out.
"Either my mom is picking me up or I'm walking."

((Haha, uhm, yeah, that's me... n_n;; ))

"Well, which is it? If you need a ride home, I can give you one." he offered, with a small smile. He didn't want to leave her to walk alone and end up getting hurt again. Plus, she was probably still hurting from that guy from before. From the looks of it, he had been hitting her pretty hard... Casey wasn't sure why he cared, but he did. Maybe he was just a nice guy. Too nice sometimes, but this time, just nice.

She looked at her phone after he was done talking. She had felt it buzz when he was talking but she didn't want to be rude. It was her mother.
"I can't pick you up, you'll have to walk."
She looked up at him and stood up. She shrugged her bag onto her shoulder and looked up at him.
"Are you sure?"

Casey nodded and shrugged, "Yeah. It's no problem." he said, "Is that your way of accepting?" he laughed as he rummaged through his pocket and found his keys. His key chain was actually complied of three of them: a guitar, a torchic and a music note.

She stared at the dangling keychain then came back to earth. She nodded and put her hands in her pockets and walked into the parking lot.
"Where's your car?"

He pointed to the Silver 2010 Audi, one of the nicest cars in the lot. "That's my baby." he laughed, unlocking the doors with the starter remote. He hopped in and buckled while waiting for her, "where do you live?" he asked.

She got in carefully and slowly making sure not to snap anything.
"Kruger road."
She looked around inside the car, it even smelled new.

"Alright... You'll have to bare with me." he said. He turned on his GPS, having no idea where it was. He would rather have the computer tell him though, in case conversation arose between him and Ichigo.

Casey backed out and followed the few turns out of the school's parking lot which he would have taken anyway. He was looking for something to say now, and was having a great deal of difficulty doing so. It didn't seem like she cared for him much, so he was just pushing it now. She could hate him, and he expected to her.

She nodded and twiddled her thumbs. The awkward silence made her spine tingle. She searched through her brain to say something, but when she opened her mouth, nothing came out. "I'm here if you need directions."
She squeezed out. He had a right to hate her and she was surprised he actually gave her a ride home instead of letting her sit.

He smiled, "Well, I do have a GPS, but if you want to try and beat the GPS for giving me directions..." he laughed a little. She seemed to want to make conversation, that was good... "So, you really have no idea why that guy beat you up?" he asked, You didn't owe him money or hit on his girlfriend or anything?" he asked with a smile, joking. He had to lighten the mood somehow; the tension and awkwardness was killing him slowly...

Her mouth dropped with a small smile hiding inside.
"Yeah...I hit on his girlfriend."
She said sarchastically.
"No, but seriously, I don't. I know who he is but I've never really talked to him."
She pointed to the right and looked at the GPS.
"Go this way."

Casey laughed a little, both at her sarcastic response and her effort to beat the GPS, which went told him which way to go a split second after her. Casey nodded, "So it was for no reason, huh? What an asshole... I should have beat the crap out of him when I had the chance..." he said, more quiet and to himself, but definitely loud enough to be heard.

It was becoming kind of awkward again, but she didn't do anything to stop it.
"That white mailbox."
She said looking at the mailbox. It was white with small pink and red roses surrounding the address.

Casey pulled up near the mail box, taking that as the instruction. It hadn't been the most thrilling conversation, but at least she didn't storm out of the car... "Well, if you hate me, you certain don't show it" he said,

She shrugged her bag onto her shoulder.
"I don't have a reason to hate you...you kicked that guys ass out of there for me and you taught me a lesson. Why would I hate you?"
She grabbed the door handle and lightly pulled on it.

"Because you seem to think I'm less than dirt, as that's how you treat me." he said, looking over to her.

She nodded and opened up the door.
"Well...I'm truly sorry...thanks for the ride."
She said after she had stepped out.
