Alana sat in the room trying to figure out what to do. She picked up the book and began to read. From the way it looked there had to be a way to do this so that everyone was happy. She guessed it would be easier if Kage was in another guys body instead of a girls.

Kari leaned against one wall a second, trying to catch her breath. She couldn’t believe she’d let herself be so weak around them. She brushed away her tears, staring up into the sky a moment. There had to be a way to save Kage…without inviting death…or Put Ai in the pain she‘d felt.

She sighed, sitting on a bench just outside the school and leaning back while her eyes slipped close. “oh father…” she whispered softly to herself, “Even when you’re not around you cause such pain and trouble…”

Ai wandered around the school grounds, turning corners sharply, looking for Kari. Even if she didn't want to go through with the process anymore, he still owed her an explanation. And anyway, he needed to know that she was okay. Cause really? In a school of supposed "monsters" where could anyone be safe?

(lol notice I started the roleplay by staing it was the first day of classes. We're kinda a couple of days in and no one has even walked into a classroom XD.)

Tabitha walked out of the bathroom her eyes free of make-up was a ruby color. She let her long silver hair down and began working a comb through it. yawning again she wandered over to the bedrooms and sat down on the edge of one. she wondered if akuma, the girl emi and hirogashi were still in the woods.

Kari sighed, her blood red lips forming a frown. She didn’t hear Ai round a nearby corner, though she did sit up a minute and run a hand through her raven hair. She didn’t know what to do for once, her emotional nature not simply sending her skipping in some random direction like it usually did. She pouted slightly, thinking …this deep thought crap is Kage’s job not hers.

Ai paused when he saw the familiar head of dark hair. He sighed (what is it with me and making him sigh?) before walking over, and acting upon impulse, wrapped his arms around her from behind. He laid his head down on her shoulder and murmured, "I'm sorry."

Though starting lightly kari calmed the second she saw his hands, she didn’t know why she found them so recognizable…though she was pretty sure why the colder skinned vampire hybrid made her feel strangely warm. Blushing at the thought she touched his hand and leaned back into him a little, feeling his breath on her neck as he spoke.

“It…. Not your fault…” She tried to say some witty remark but for once could not think of one, just too tired from having to face both her parents in one day. She closed her eyes a moment, trying not to get to comfortable…but finding she was anyway. Kari never had been good at resisting impulse or emotion.

Ai's lips twitched into a smile as he nuzzled Kari's neck, "I'm sure it isn't." Abruptly he stood back up, face neutral, releasing Kari from his hold, "I have some things to explain to you, I believe you should listen to what I have to say...withought distractions." he added, as an afterthought.

(hmm... that would make sense.)

Embara retracted her arm thinking it was better to not give him the coin till he apologized for being careless. She dumped the coin back in the bag and put it back in her boot. "See you guys, later?" She got up and started walking back to her dorm when she saw a girl leaning on her wall. She looked perfectly fine but something bother Embara and she wanted to check it out. So she started to nonchalantly walk to her dorms like she does this all the time when people are next to it. As she got closer, she noticed someone come around a corner and hug her from behind. She raised a brow in question as she noticed it the boy in the tree from earlier.

Not wanting to bother them, she changed her mind about going to her dorm and instead headed for the school. She needed to find the Music Room, she wanted to ask the teacher something. Wait, why would a teacher be in their classroom at night? She shook her head in disdain, and stopped. But continued to walk as she grinned evilly, she was going to break into the Music room. She raised her arms and started to tap her fingers against each other in a evil way.

She shivered slightly at the nuzzle, inwardly telling herself to calm down and stop being sensitive. Despite her inner chiding however, she couldn’t help but smile at catching sight of his. As he spoke she listened but absently teased, “You know you’re actually almost as cute as the fan girls think you are when you smile.”

Kari then stuck her tongue at him but sat cross legged on the bench after scooting to the side. She leaned on one arm with her chin, waving at the seat with her free hand before placing it in her lap. “I’ll try to listen” she stated with a shrug, managing to pull some of her façade up. “You have to sit and talk first though.”

Ai raised an eyebrow at the cute comment, "Oh really?" He walked over a bit and looked at the seat before climbing onto the bench and sitting on top of the back rest, leaving his feat on the seat. He directed his gaze to the night sky, "Where do I begin though? So much has happened already..."

(lol I wanna sneak into the music room too! and the art room!)

Kari shrugged, looking at him a moment. “How would I know” She stated openly, raising her own eyebrow now. She didn’t know what he wanted to tell her, only that he felt the need to. She couldn’t say she was disappointed to see him loosen up and relax a little though.

Embara looked around as she approached the front entrance making sure none knew of her presence. She snickered mentally and pulled out hair pins and lock picked the door. Quickly slipping inside she closed the door behind her. Taking off her boots, she put in her left arm and hugged them tight. Good, the easy part is done, now the hard part. She looked around for any security systems and couldn't sense any, she touched the wall and thought she heard a click in the distance. What was that? she asked alarmed. She didn't move for two minutes until she figured it was safe.

As she started walking she felt the floor move beneath her and she froze. Her eyes were wide and alert (think anime xD) Her eyes checked all the dim hallways and rooms that she could see. The moment she took her first step something could be heard down the hall she was in. It sounded like something was rolling.

"The beginning would be best, yea?" He whispered softly once again, voice barely audible. "As you probably know, my father was a vampire...a full vampire, and my mother, a member of the fair folk...or elf. They fell in love during a peace negotiation. Of course the leaders were for their getting married, I mean they were setting up a peace treaty after all. And so they did. And I'm what came out of their union. It seems vampires and elves don't mix that well though, seeing as I'm part mortal."
Ai laughed that hollow laugh again, "As all things do, their happiness came to an end. When i was about five years old, some of the vampires who were opposed to peace with elves fought back, and killed my mother, my father, in his rage attempted to kill her murderers. He failed though. Which left me, a young child, alone. Orphaned."
A sad look came into his eyes. "Nothing could compare to the pain I felt then. Their murderers took me in, and raised me to become powerful. Because of them, did I have so many meetings with Death. In fact, I met with him so much, we came to have a mutual friendship. My life is not mine to forfeit, because it is already in Death's hands. I will not die, I mean I will, but I will always come back."
Ai's eyes closed as he tilted his head further back,
"I killed them you know? Their murderers. Recently actually, the school officials...when they found me, I was covered in their blood."
Ai's hand went up to his ear, where the dark red stud was,"This...was a present from my old friend. Before she died."
For the first time in a while, tears formed in the corners of Ai's eyes,
"I couldn't protect her you know..." his throat was starting to clog up and he could feel the tears sliding down his face now, "I lost her, my dearest friend. Because I was too weak. She was protecting me a lot of the time, and she gave me this to help me realize when danger was coming. She died...protecting me..."
His eyes opened again, the colors swimming, "That's why...i am the way I am. I won't let that happen again." Ai's face hardened for a moment and then it melted into one of utter despair, tears still trailing down his face, his head completely tilted up to the sky now, "I can't let it happen again, which is why I refused to let people get close to me. Why I was so cold. But....still..." Images of Ai's new friends flashed through his mind, "Still...people managed to worm their ways in." Ai finally gave up and buried his face in his arms, "I can't do this anymore, I can't. I...I needed to protect you, you and your brother, and my new friends, I cannot let anyone die for me anymore. Not anymore...and so I want to help, whenever and if I can..." Ai finished, his voice slightly muffled, his shoulders shaking.

Kari suppressed a sigh, for once not tempted to make a joke. Instead she pushed up on her feet to sit on the back of the bench next to him, and silently hugged him. She simply wrapped her arms around him and held tight, her chin on his shoulder. She was neither a philosopher like her brother, or an empathetic counselor like her mother could be when she wanted to, she was just…good at making jokes.

Ai couldn't help it, when he felt Kari's arms around him, his own immediatley wrapped around her and pulled her closer, his face now buried in her shoulder, "Don't worry, I won't bite." he made a pathetic attempt at a joke, his sobs lightening up slightly.

(seriously, if I make him seem...un-manly or whatever, keep in mind, I'm a girl so I have no idea how a guys thought process goes.)
