She thought a moment, thinking instantly of her father and that sneaky little smile he’d given them all when he left. But why….why would he? ….because he, unlike Ai seemed to, knew exactly how she felt Kari thought to herself with an inward sigh. She dismissed it, however, simply running a hand through her short raven hair. “Is….there anything I can do?” She asked softly, keeping her fear her father was involved to herself, praying she was wrong.

"No." Ai closed his eyes briefly, still not relenting his hold on the girl, "...actually...if you can distract him, whoever is in my body. Make them believe that you think they are me. This might work, Akuma and I need to remain undisturbed for a bit so that I can secure a body...and maybe not even if Tabitha will be willing to help...after we take care of this." Ai motioned to Allie with his head.

“Alright….I don’t like this, but alright….” She said with a pout, glancing at the door. Kari walked towards it, realizing she’d kissed someone she hadn’t meant to with genuine passion. It was different then the usual kisses she teased at people. The half angel walked back, heading for her dorm with her head down before she steeled herself to act and bounced into the room. “You done being an idiot Ai?” She called, heading for a glass of water. “REady to tell me what’s going on yet?”

He straightened as soon as Kari bounced into the room, "I told you, it doesn't involve you." He smirked inwardly though, 'Like taking candy from a baby, who knew it would be this easy to trick her?'

It involves you, it involves me…” Kari said with a shrug, running her hand through her hair as she looked through the fridge. She was hungry, but couldn’t see anything she wanted to eat. So she sipped her water, not knowing where he was yet. Inwardly she was letting her mind wander, trying to figure out who it was but only being her usual façade outside. “Seriously Ai, you know me better.” She taunted.

He got up and climbed down the ladder to the kitchen where Kari was, "And you assume you know me?" he asked. He picked up an apple and regarded it for a moment before biting into it.

What game was he playing Kari wondered inwardly, whoever this stranger was. “Well as I know anyone else” She responded with a shrug, closing the fridge door with a look of annoyance. Nothing she wanted to eat. With a sigh she hoped up on the counter, sipping her water before yawning. “Why you being so weird Ai?” She asked, deciding displaying curiosity was the best way to make it look like she hadn’t a clue. “At least you don’t look like you’re freaking dying now…” She murmured.

"Weird? I have no idea what you're talking about." he said, completely disregarding the dying comment. "Are you hungry?" okay maybe he needed a little more work, he had absolutely no idea how this Ai was like at all.

Kari laughed, teasingly reply “Nah just felt warm so stuck my head in the fridge….yeah, I’m hungry, nothing I want to eat though.” She shrugged again, inwardly wondering why he asked. This person…….what was he here for? So far all he was doing was being a sucky representation of Ai..

Tabitha shivered violently and stared when she saw allie being held she sighed in relief. her blood red eyes locked with allies pale gray ones and she almost screamed.

Allie hissed in frustration, "let me go boy!" she growled "this has nothing to do with you, i need to kill that girl" she pointed to tabitha with her free arm "and i will do anything to accomplish that!" she hissed and threw herself at Ai, "and if i have to kill every fucking person in this place to do it so be it!"

Ai grunted when Allie collided with his chest, she was hurting he realized, so he did the one thing he could think of. The one thing his mother had always done. He wrapped his arms around her thin frame and kept them there despite her nails cutting into his arm and face, "I won't." was the only thing he said.

"hmm.." He raised an eyebrow and put his apple onto the table, stepping closer to Kari, "is that so?"

Tabitha watched Ai and Allie her eyes wide with shock.

Allie stopped for a second and then hissed and started beating at his face, "Get off of me you fool! i dont know what you wont do but i do know that i will kill my sister if it takes me forever!" she tried struggling away and then realized she could disappear. "Ill be back tabitha" she disappeared her voice remaining for a few seconds then was gone.

Tabitha blinked and burst into tears, she curled into a ball and let herself cry.

It is.” Kari replied with a tilt of her head, raising an eyebrow as he stepped closer. Inwardly she cringed but outwardly she simply grinned her usual mischievous way and put a hand on her hip. For Ai’s sake she would keep him distracted, he would think his plan…whatever it was worked perfectly. She glanced at the apple but then to Ai, thinking inwardly.

Ai climbed painfully back to his feet, multiple gashes on his arms and face were now leaking purple, "A-Akuma...T-Tabitha...now..." He collapsed again barely managing to draw a series of symbols onto the floorboards before his eyes closed.

Akuma jumped into action almost instantly, he took Tabitha's hand in his, "I know you're scared Tabitha...but I need your help with this. If we don't hurry Ai will..." He left the sentence unfinished and pleaded with his eyes.

He paused, something was wrong. His eyes narrowed slightly and then he walked around the counter Kari was sitting on and got a glass of water, "What are you planning..." he muttered softly.

Tabitha looked at him and then to Ai, sniffing she sighed, "what do we need to do?" with tears still falling down her face she slowly got to her feet her red eyes looking around for her sisters violent ghost.

Nothing… I was hoping you were” she teased cheekily, knowing herself well enough to know how to behave. She finished her own water and walked behind him, stepping closer to get her own water refilled. She gripped his shoulder and raised her eyebrow, saying “Why’s the big bad vampy being so jumpy?Calm down Ai.” she muttered with a false yawn.

"Just close your eyes and concentrate your energy for me, I'll do the shaping." Akuma said, smiling softly, if she cooperated then this wouldn't be that hard, but they would need to hurry, he cast a glance at Ai's fast fading spirit, 'just a little longer Ai, hold on for a bit more.'

"I don't know why, something feels...off. But it's fading now. Must have been my imagination." He said, lightly shrugging Kari's hand off, "I'm going for a walk."

(is it still nighttime? like midnight or something? or is it like evening or afternoon? my sense of time just crashed and burned...)

Tabitha wasnt sure on how she was supposed to do that but she was going to try anyway, she closed her eyes and concentrated. She opened one eye alittle to keep watch for allie. "akuma im not sure i know what im doing"

"Just trust me." Akuma reached into the small ball of darkness that had appeared and started moving it around. He looked right at Ai's fading spirit and started murmuring under his breath, his own energy glowing blue around his hands as he started flicking pieces of the darkness away. As each piece hit a symbol drawn with Ai's spirit blood the symbol flashed bright green. After each was it the green surrounded Ai and Akuma closed his eyes, "It's done, the rest is up to Ai." he murmured and turned back to Tabitha, "We might need to step back though."

Tabitha looked at Ai, "whats happening?" she asked akuma, her eyes still darted around the room she didnt trust her sisters ghost.

"the energy is making him a new body, one that resembles his true self, and" Akuma watched as the green vortex started to swell, "we need to move." he stated, grabbing onto Tabitha and diving for the other side of the bed just as a bright flash filled the room.

Tabitha let out a high pitched squeal. her eyes widened at the green flash. She started shaking and she wanted to look over the side of the bed.

Akuma notice Tabitha trying to look over the bed's edge and quickly pulled her head into his chest, "I would advise against that, yea."
