Kari swiped for his hand, almost missing it as she took it to let herself be pulled up. Apparently when she had a fever and was conscious she got a little…delirious. Normally she had Kage take over but now that he was no longer in her body…she was stuck being nuts.

“Ai….” She said and stumbled into his chest, and wiggled a finger at him. “You should not tease a girl with that word…..she might just love you.” She half teased with a laugh. She shivered a little, chills from the fever. She then smiled and leaned into him, “warm…”

Ai blinked at Kari for a moment then he raised a hand to her forehead, "Your fever's gotten worse." he murmured and took her wrists into his hand, "You should stop now Kari, you don't know what you're doing." 'Or what you're playing with...' He softly led her back to the bed and set her down, making her lay down.

“Yes I do…….I’m scaring you by telling the truth…..nobody else seems to so one of us has to…” She said with a giggle, and lay down though Kari had a mischievous smile. She grinned, gripping his wrists right back and pulling him into the bed, using the light to essentially push him to the bed. She gripped his shoulders then and curled up on his chest, murmuring “Warm…my pillow….my wish he wasn’t love.” She said again, closing her eyes a moment. She clung to him, holding him there as she said suddenly “ Why am I still seeing…..my eyes are closed…”

Ai shifted a little, "I don't know why Kari, but I really need to get up to get you some medicine, and some clothes." Ai whispered, patting Kari's head with the arm she wasn't hugging. He stopped moving, "Wait...I can't believe I forgot." He put his hand on Kari's forehead and concentrated on sending his energy to her again, "You're delirious from overuse of your powers..."

((hehe the fever’s still going to take a while to clear :P and technically it‘s an unbalancing of her power XD. She used too much light and tipped her already frail balance. ))
No… You don’t need cloths.” Kari muttered, still hugging to him tightly. She didn’t even look up, simply staying curled up on his chest unmoving. “That tickles” She remarked to the energy, kissing his hand then his chest before curling up on it where she was. She held him tighter. “Warm….comfy… “ She remarked deliriously not seeming to really be aware of anything but that she liked being cuddled up right where she was .

Tabitha gave up and walked over to him. Her eyes glowed a rose red color, "I dont know but it better end soon" she said quietly. She sat down on the ground next to Akuma and looked at him, "So Ai and that Kari girl their a thing huh?" she asked, just to break the silence.

Akuma shrugged, "Right now, I think they're just running circles around each other."

Ai sighed again and closed his eyes, oh well, as long as he was stuck here he might as well catch up on his meditating.

Kari nuzzled closer, his balance of energy helping her to balance her own. It seemed despite her mothers loathing of it…..what she really needed was a creature half of the dark and half of the light. “My Ai.” She said quietly as she held him close, blinking though as the fever began to fade a little bit and her head began to hurt. “Owie….I know you hurt my heart but who hurt my head.” She muttered, putting a hand against it for a moment.

Ai's eyes flickered open and he let his gaze settle on the girl still cuddled against his chest, "I believe you hit your head yourself, love."

“Did no-…” Kari paused, sitting up slowly and starting to clear. She was turning redder and redder as she looked down at the towel wrapped torso. “not…” she finished, glancing back up at his face as she sat a moment with her hands still on his chest. She lifted her arms, making a comically I surrender type gesture on accident at having thrown them up like that. She then said in a horrified whisper “I….I told you…..” she let her arms drop, she’d told him she loved him….without using the three words specifically but….still, They both knew he had to know now…

Ai acted oblivious to what she was saying and brought a hand up to rub at his eyes, "Hn, can you let me get dressed now or are you going to cuddle me again?"

Tabitha nodded and looked up at the branches on the tree, "i guess thats their problem though huh?"

As he pretended not to know what Kari meant she remained unconvinced, knowing he had to have known. She could remember what she said, and that he’d said she didn’t know what she was doing. Well she sure as hell did now…She leaned forward and kissed his lips slightly. “you can get dressed…… and I can go away now…while we pretend I didn’t say anything and we continue the whole stupid thing.” She said only half joking. Now she wasn’t delirious…just irritable. If he didn’t feel anything why couldn’t he just say so… She then turned, heading for the kitchen to get some ice……….her head was killing her.

Ai climbed out of the bed and walked over to his closet pulling on a black t-shirt with a cross decal and dark red cargo pants with a few chains added for decoration. He combed his hair and then tied his bangs back, slipping a few bracelets onto his wrists in the process (I am definitely gonna draw this...sometime.) before he walked over to his windows and looked out, staring at the moon, "So many problems..."

Kari held the ice to her head, leaning forward on the counter. She let out a sigh of pain, sliding to the floor a moment and closing her eyes. She could barely move her head hurt so bad. “Ai… something’s wrong…” She whispered, before promptly falling over unconscious with the ice pack splattering against the floor and sending the ice bouncing loudly over the floor. A small demon was appearing in the shadows nearby, having slipped something to her in water earlier in the day without anyone knowing. Using Ai as a distraction had its uses it seemed.... “Sneaky demons daughter go bye bye.” the servant demon spoke, giggling to itself as it went to go get a knife from the drawer. He’d make it look like poor Kari killed herself. Someone had figured out her fathers plans….they could not take out the father but the weapon …the daughter… that they could.

Ai suddenly winced as a sharp pain shot through him, "Kari!" he hissed and then ran for the door. When he got to the kitchen he saw a demon standing over Kari's body with a knife, "What do you think you're doing?" Ai asked calmly, before promptly tackling the demon.

Kari whimpered in her ‘sleep‘, her body having no defense against poison and only her spirit’s sheer strength why she wasn’t dead…and why little sneaky Aridien had to come and take care of her. The little green demon was humming to himself, only looking up as he heard a voice. He barely had tilted his head to the side when Ai had tackled him, causing him to flap his wings and stab at Ai’s body randomly. “Can’t save weapon, bad vampire.” It shouted.

Ai watched silently as his blood fell to the floor, "You little retards never learn huh?" he asked, his tone grave. He was beyond pissed now, damnit he had just finished washing off his blood. He jumped at the little demon turning at just the right moment and kicked the demon hard in the stomach. Then he brought his fist down on the demons head, "And that's for poisoning her." he growled. He quickly swiped a hand to one of his cuts, covering his hand in his own blood and crouched near Kari's head, "One good thing about being part elf..." he muttered and let a few drops drip into her mouth. There were healing properties in his blood if used correctly, he silently raised his other hand to Kari's throat and his energy glowed light blue for a moment, "That should take care of the poison."

The poisoned girl clung to him, shivering as she held onto him. Her head….it felt like it was exploding. She felt like she was drowning……and though she could see someone on the surface she couldn’t get out. It made Kari whimper softly. She knew she was supposed to die, but something held her back….. and then Ai… she heard him. She didn’t feel herself fall even further and it was more like rising to the surface….She admitted something now, as she realized she didn’t want to die without it being said. “I need you… even if you’ll never need me…” she whispered.

The demon screamed as it’s head was hit, saying in a whimper “You don’t understand …..heaven ….hell …. He must be stopped…” The demon flapped its wings, trying to hold onto life as it’s own blood spilled out on the tiled floor. It slowly began to die it’s body and blood disappearing in flame.

Ai could feel it, how close Kari had been to Death, in fact his own life force seemed to have been dulled by it. His glow had dimmed in order for Kari's to grow brighter. He closed his eyes for a moment after the demon had died, a moment of silence to honor its life, it was a habit of his. Then he looked back down to Kari, "I would never not need you..." he whispered, running his fingers through her hair and then kissing the top of her head, "I won't go anywhere, I'll always be here..."

Kari shivered as he stroked her hair, pressing into his chest and holding close. She closed her eyes, simply gripping his back a moment. She whispered softly, “It’s not fair… I love you…. But all that matters is I am my fathers daughter….” She sighed and looked down, glancing at the floor before looking up at Ai and trying to joke. “Do you think that they’ll accept poisoning or whatever he did to me as a good excuse for missing class again?”

Ai sighed after changing yet again into a new set of clothes after another shower. He was deat tired, he cast a glance at the sleeping figure on his bed, Kari had fallen asleep waiting for him. He shook his head and pulled the covers up to her chin again, then he walked to the window seat and sat down, he pressed his forehead to the cool glass and closed his eyes, drifting on the fine line between sleep and conciousness.
(Yea I just skipped ahead XD)

((awww so she doesn't even get a reply to her I love you :P. hehe and how far ahead? XD Just so I know XD))

(just an hour or two....and it's not that she didn't get a reply, it's just Ai is still debating on how to answer XD)

Kari turned over in her sleep, pulling the blanket downward as she often did when it was near her chin. She mumbled something in her sleep but even she couldn’t have told you what. She just slept, her dreams fevered slightly from the earlier poison but not too bad. The fever had mainly faded…she just felt weak.
