O.O so many posts. yeah it was a long dinner >_> ended up meeting with a friend and catching a movie and talking about movies >_<
I like the music idea of the gals being trapped and so on. it'll definitely help me bring Alak out of his peace "shell". I plan for him to get a little more in tune with his drow side that he so passionately neglects.
Tali, you are the awesomeness for the map.
Lusa, you reminded me...I forgot to add the medical center T_T It's beyond the silver wall, close to the South gate so people can have a beautiful sight of the sea. *coughs to Tali* I'll put that in the list with the others.
Hehe, now you know it's up ;) thanks for joining us Lusa. Your character uses knives correct? And doctors can hurt just as much as they heal. Clerics are the shiz. So feel free to enter if you wish. If not, you can help me judge the tournament. I'll think of some way to repay you for your services so you don't feel like you're missing out. They'll definitely need a medic to help take care of wounded contestants.
Unfortunately, as you can see, Mene doesn't have any guilds. Don't know why >_> I suppose it's because it's not as big as Gaia XP. But I suppose there is some form of Assassin's guild that Alana is a part of...So yes, feel free to make your name in Mene history by starting a Healer's guild.
*pats Tali's mind* it's ok. we're all nuts here.
Music event? *re-reads posts* Did I miss something? Oh you mean the sound. I do like them being lured *brainstorms on how it can tie into Alana's dad if possible* or it could be something independent.
Pets? There's a toy store with stuff animals and you can have some pets from special event items or donations...but other than that there's no pet store. Or are you talking about in the RP? If Lusa wants a pet, then we'll find a way to wrap it into the story. That's what make rp's great ^_^
FDD
Since my day has been full of movies: worked out while watching Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Starsky and Hutch, then watched Basic, keep thinking about seeing Gamer, might go see Surrogates tomorrow...What is your favorite movie genre?
I don't mean to cop-out, but I do like a movie that has a nice mixture of genres. I suppose my favorites are action/adventure movies with light humor and a little unlikely romance saturated in twists. Example, movies like Transporter 3 and Oceans 11 are up there for rewatchablility. I just love clever banter and strong character development.
EDIT:
I've been thinking about Alak's parents. I may have found good pictures for them too ;)
Lets see, his mother had black hair and green eyes and his father's hair was white and eyes of a clear blue (most drow have red or white eyes so it was once suspected that his father was mixed with something). His father was master of archery and swords and his mother was a notable enchantress and healer, her magic strongest during the full moon.
They met under a new moon, when her magic was weak. She had went to gather power from a grove of moon flowers that store energy and found him lying there, injured from a recent attack. At first she was frightened, but seeing that he would not harm her, she approached. Afterward, she returned to the grove to heal him and soon he settled there, finally finding a place where he felt he could be happy. The fairy grove nearby didn't appreciate her keeping a drow so close, but they trusted her and made no complaint as long as he never stepped foot in their grove. They fell in love and by the next full moon, conceived Alak. Soon, his father suspected that his enemies were still searching for him and left disappeared without a word. Goodbyes were too hard to say, especially for one not use to saying them. Alak's mother waited for his return every night, and as the moon waxed and waned and her belly swelled, she never gave up hope. Then, he did appear on the horizon. He came to her, barely alive just like the night they met. She did what she could to heal him, but her power wasn't strong enough without the full moon. So she took him to the fairy grove. They refused to let him enter. His mother eventually nursed him back to health, but it cost most of her life power. She would die younger than most fairies. Alak's birth was thankfully on a full moon. His father held him first and named him. For an entire year, they were happy. Then, the grove was attacked in search of Alak's father. Feeling it was his duty to protect them, he went off to fight only to find that it was drow hunters sent to kill him. Many fairies had been tortured before they finally gave in and told the drow of Alak's father's whereabouts. In an effort to prevent any more lives from being loss, he gave himself up. He was killed right on the spot, his head severed from his body. Alak's mother weeped for months. She let her power dwindle, not wanting live anymore. But she knew she had to be strong for Alak, at least until the boy could take care of himself. Alak has always been proud of his father, but fears what lengths his drow characteristics will take him. He knew what a powerful fighter his father was, having survived death twice and only truly dying when he decided to give up his life. But that was not before killing, as was rumored, 100 Drow rangers in two nights before returning to his lover half dead.
