I've played final fantasy games for a long time and always had a blast... but in final fantasy x-2 i just get so mad because i can't seem to beat Trema at the bottom of the Bevelle underground...
is there anyone who has actually beat him? I've put in many many hours to get the 100% completion/ perfect ending... and i have done almost everything else in the game... i can beat the big creepy Paragon, but you jump right to the Trema fight immediately after... and usually before i can get out 2 rounds of trigger happy (in critical with the cat nip accessory), i'm a goner... gah! it's awful!

Have you looked at an online strategy guide? ;) That's how I tend to do RPGs. They always have great strategies for boss fights.
It's been a long time since I've played X-2, so I can't really give you any specifics. I just recommend looking it up. XD

I beat him over my last summer vacation... he was definitely a pain in the butt. I think I had 2 dark knights (with 18k+ max HP with stamina tonic/tablet) and 1 gunner (attacking with cat nip&trigger happy). Use stamina tonics/tablets on all party members, and attack solely with your gunner. Mainly use your dk's for healing/reviving/casting haste, shell and protect on the party (someone dies, revive immediately). Commands do have to go really fast though, or else Trema will massacre your party pretty quickly. I did follow a guide, and it was pretty helpful. =/ I wish I could remember which one it was, I'd give it to you. Hope any of that helps with defeating him, good luck! =]

Grats! My first time beating him was almost a year into the game, and it was hell. Yuna's my best healer, so I had her as a white mage, and Rikku and Payne as warrior and dark knight, respectively. :yes: Warriors have a good speed to them that I like.
Also... ohmygoshdressspheres :heart::heart::heart:

thank you! :)
i had paine and rikku as dark nights and made their hp max out at 9999... i had the phoenix downs and potions at the top of my list and had them just do that back and forth and not attack at all... oh and i had them cast shell and mp drain too so that he couldn't use his big attack... but yuna was gunner and i had her equipped with catnip and went into the battle with her hp in the yellow... i just took more time and took it slow and i had him beat in less than 30 minutes
i actually yipped! not even kidding :lol:
the huge desert monster, angra mayu or whatever the name was, that took me hourssssss :gonk:

I understand completely. I did that with many of my other games as well.
Though I beat him with 3 Gunners. haha.
Catnip x3 and trigger happy x3 is a dangerous combo.

Yeah, Gunners are really squishy. Though I only die like four times while using that combo. It's no big deal if your over leveled/maxed level.

well my levels were at 99 and the levels of all my dress spheres were also maxed so it helps with the gunner cause the 'trigger happy' is longer
