I need to help someone write a cause and effect paper, but neither of us can think of anything. I need something that's easy to research on the internet cuz the paper is due in 2 days and we trashed the paper we were working on before cuz it was too hard to research. any ideas??

I suppose I could do something about std's and how it effects children being born (did look at the debate section, but didn't see much that I could use), but I was hoping for something a bit happier to research. XP I already recently had to do a paper on sexually abused children, PLEASE give me something happier to write about. lol

How about cause and effect of the economy being really bad right now? super easy to research.

would it be something like 'the economy is bad because' or would it be more like 'the economy is bad so'. XP which would be easier to find? neither sounds very interesting, but at least it's better than std babies. thanks for that save, btw. lol

Well I am not going to write the paper for you lol. Talk about gas prices going up because the econ is bad. How house prices are the lowest they have been in a while. I mean is is super cheap to buy a house right now. talk about people getting laid off in record numbers.

I think you should write about something that's important to you so when you write about it, alongside your materials, you should be able to write something substantial and from the heart.

Topic wise would be those that feel relevant. But try to also consider the urgent ones these days.

Those that make you stop and think even it for a while.

Definitely write about something you are passionate about. There are so many topics in the world, so many causes and so many effects. If you name some things you enjoy doing I might be able to help more.

A lot of people like video games. You could research some positive effects, like the effect of video games on reflexes, on school grades, on eye-sight.

Do you like anime? The effect of the popularity of anime on american culture, on the way people act, talk, dress, and socialize. There is a significant Japanese culture movement going on in the U.S. Everyone wants to learn to speak Japanese, wants to visit there, wants to cosplay or dress in the lolita style. This is quite a new trend.

or maybe rising amounts of hearing loss due to listening to high volume ipods...
or about how reading to kids can make them smarter or something...

Amulet's suggestion about reading to kids made me think of a couple of other ideas. Since you recently did a paper on child abuse maybe you care about children and it would be great to write a happier paper about children, right? That wide topic has so many possibilities.

You see parents wondering all of them time why their kids don't know as much as others their age, where they went wrong or maybe something is wrong with the children. Usually parents just don't see the huge opportunities for learning before them. Just by singing the ABC's every time a diaper is changed poses a world of difference to that child's capacity for learning even more.

There are tons of techniques for teaching children that are miraculous. Some people have developed scams. (My mother in law wanted to buy my 10 month old "Your Baby CAN Read" which cost over 100 usd). Baby Einsteins is popular, but does it work?

V-Tech recently made video game consoles for toddlers and even babies. Are they harmful or do they actually serve as useful tools toward education?

Do your paper on how they wouldn't let Hitler into art school when he was younger although it was his dream. Effect.... well I think we all know!

Do the cause of landfill and/or other environmental pollution.

You can look up [or calculate your own] estimates of how eff'd up the planet will be in a few years. ;D

A great one which may be happening as we speak would be what would happen if all the bees died.

The environment. Such as Global Warming and all those shenanigans.
