I was so used to giving with out expecting anything in return that being given an honor such as this and hearing Ember saying how much i meant to her nearly had me in tears.
"Thank you." I manage to say before i started to cry with joy.

"Did..Did I say something wrong?" I asked as Eli burst into tears.

i smiled."no,you made her happy.those are tears of joy." i walked over to eli and hugged her."and mabey,if you'll please stop crying,i can ask you both a couple things?" i asked hopefully.

"Oh, I forgot about those...I havn't cried since I was eight." Ember said smiling sadly. Her father had frowned apond crying, so she had forced herself to stop crying. She wasn't even sure she could cry real tears, mostly when she did cry she just sobbed.

I manage to stop crying and nod as i wipe the tears from my eyes.
"You both have been so good to me."

i hugged eli tight."thats because you have been great to us! if it weren't for you,none of us would be here right now." i looked her in the eye."and we're really very greatfull for that.you're family,and because you are so good at helping and protecting us,i was hoping you would be my child's godmother.would you,eli? it would mean so much to me."

I smile and hug Gemini when she asks me to be her baby's godmother as well.
"Of course I will! I would be honored to be both of your children's godmother!"

I smiled then turned back to the angel in my arms. She looked just like James only with my eyes. "Hey, where did James go?" I asked suddenly realizing he was gone.

i smiled from ear to ear."thank you! also,eli,i wanted to ask you for a huge favor.when the time comes,will you help to deliver my child? i can show you how,if you dont know.but i really need someone there,and i trust you above anyone else.plus,kaleb will be there to help as well.will you be there for me?" i also wanted to ask ember if giving birth really was as painfull as it seemed.i was nervous,very nervous.

I nod to Gemini.
"I'll do whatever I can."

When Ember mentions someone named James I freze.
"Who Is James?" I turn my head to her quickly.
I hadn't noticed it earlier but there was a different smell in the camp, the smell of a dog.

"He..is...a..ummm..well....gee...how do I say this.....he's a werewolf...but he's on our side." She said biting her lip and breast feeding the baby under a blanket.

My eyes turn an icy blue and I storm out of the tent. This was the one that had lied to Ember. What else had he done to her?

I found the werewolf, James, working on one of the trucks.
"YOU!" I scream at him as I pick him up and pin him against the side of the trailer.
I was furious. Because of him, Ember had changed. At that time it seemed like she dispised our kind.
"I would like to kill you right now!" I scream at him.

I was usually a calm person, but when i lost my temper I lost it. One of my friends had once told me that I had a temper worse than a redhead.
There was only one way to get me to calm down and only one person who knew how and could do that.

Cat heard a scraping noise as she walked. Suddenly alert, she whipped around to see what it was. To her surprise and embarrassment, she found had been making the noise. It was the sound of the stacked buckets she held dragging along the floor after she got too bored to think. The string she had tied the handles together with was loosening too. She gave a sigh and bent down to fasten it again. Once she had done so, she stood up to look around.

It was as she thought. She had once again wandered off to some random place whilst daydreaming, meaning she would only be able to get back to where she had been before she got too bored to think by following her scent, so long as it hadn't rained over her trail since. Not that she had particularly wanted to go back to where she had been, because she was trying to find a new place to stay, with people, but it would've been nice to have seen where she had been so she could've had a map of it in her head.

Now, she stood in an empty street in an abandoned human city. Litter rolled across the street in the wind like tumbleweed. Disturbingly, she could smell the scent of creatures she hadn't met before everywhere here, and they didn't smell too friendly either. They couldn't be humans as she knew how they smelt, and it didn't smell like she did, so it couldn't be a werewolf. That meant the creatures she was smelling now were either ... vampires or zombies. She didn't like the thought of either of those species much.

She adjusted the grey and pink backpack she wore and picked up the stacked buckets again. She swallowed and walked forward down the road, padding along as silently as she knew how to be, which was very silent. After a few minutes of walking like this she came to a shopping mall. The car park was completely empty like everywhere else and she couldn't see anything but she kept a lookout, just in case.

Cat quickly crossed the car park and entered the mall, wondering if there was any food left in a decent condition that she could eat. She doubted it, after all this time. Still, perhaps she could get some new clothes? It wasn't like anyone would be guarding it, and it was a well known unwritten rule that looting was allowed in apocalyptic situations. The clothes she had at the moment were getting too small and her converses were pinching her toes. The clothes she were wearing now (a simple dark brown hoodie, dark blue jeans and of course a pair of converses) were some of the biggest she had left, but she could still tell she had grown.

Walking further into the mall, she came across the scent of humans. What on earth could they be doing in a place like this? Shouldn't they be all safely inside their compounds, protected by their military? Curious as always, Cat began to follow the scent around the mall. It went up some escalators (dead now of course) and on for a bit on this floor.

A little while later, she found the body of a dead infected creature, killed recently. The body was riddled with bullets and most of the clothes had either fallen off or been ripped to shreds by them. Cat crept near the head of the creature, still nervous in case it was a zombie, until she saw the pointed teeth in his mouth. A Vampire. She noted the scent and decided to stop sniffing so much as any humans watching would immediately think something was up. She left the body and continued following the scent, looking for signs of life.

James looked clamnly at the woman now pinning him to the truck with her hand. "And why would you want to do that?" He asked as the air slowly started to leave his chest. He wasn't sure why this women was trying to suffocate him, but from the general direction she came from it was clear this had something to do with Ember.

(I missed like 10 pages.... sorry... At least I read it all lolz! Sorry back... Vacation was fun though. Nice music and drawings cyrus! Congraz Eli! I got a lot to cover I guess....)

I tried opening my eyes, but I was going through too much pain. I managed to see a lycan like guard standing near me.

"The Hybrid's awake," the Lycan said bluntly. His voice was very raspy. When I managed to open up my eyes, I saw him more detailed. He was in wolf form, but standing up. unusual I thought to myself. He had a ripped and shredded yellow teeshirt and some ripped up black jeans. His fur was a dark brown, but with some grayish looking fur. Oh shit! This little fuck is an elder... He could rip me up... Elders were the more experiance lycans. they had the power of thirty of my kind, hybrid or not.

"Well, bring him in" another lycan said with the same tone. It looks like I've been captured by lycans... Just then, I felt the full extent of my injuries. My arm was shredded up, probably dissabled. My leg looked like it was bitten several times. I felt blood across my eye.

Just then, the lycan outside my cell came in, wearing the same type of clothing, but had a lighter version of brown. It too had gray spots on it. ANOTHER ELDER? Where the hell am I? I couldnt think of anywhere this could be. I was screwed over. Bad.

"Well come on. Felix, isnt it? You and your friend Eli desimated one of my camps to get one of your own. Little did you know that my son, James, became her lover while you were after them. She pregnant. Well, anyways, he infiltrated your camp, and will kill ALL of your friends, one by one... Now anyways, on to the... 'questioning' room! This away!" He finished up the speech in a surprisingly cheery manner. Embers... Pregnant? Was that what she was going to tell me? James? My eyes turned red. I'll kill him. and everyone here. Whereever the hell that is. And I began to plot my escape.

i ran after eli,knowing she would probably try to kill the lycan."eli,wait! listen,dont kill him,he's the-jesus!" i stopped when i saw her practically crushing james against a truck.he looked sort of blueish,but his face was calm."eli,stop! we need this guy around,ok? just let ember explain,please?"

I could faintly hear Gemini saying something, but in my rage I ignored her.

"After everything you did to Ember! I just wanted my sister back and you just kept running away every time we got close! You lied to her! You had Felix torn to shreds! And it's because of you that she left us and Felix got captured!" I spat my hateful words at James and pushed him even harder into the trailer.

Ember grabbed her baby and ran after Eli. She knew she shouldn't be running so soon but she had to save james. "ELI STOP YOUR KILLING THE FATHER OF MY BABY!" I screamed as I saw her crushing James into the truck.

i tried to pull eli off of james."eli,please! he did wrong,but he is the father of that baby! the child needs her father! he did those things because he fell in love with ember! please,eli,dont do this! you are not a killer!!!" i pleaded,knowing that i could not allow ember to try and break this up herself."please dont become something you aren't.you're not a killer,eli.think,what if it were you in ember's position,and someone tried to kill sergeant hemora because he made a mistake?! put yourself there for a moment.think! use your brain!"

I had just got done working on the air line and was putting my gear back on when I heard a commotion at a truck on down the row. As I grab my rifle I turn and look towards the commotion. I could see Gemini, Ember, with a baby in her arms, and Eli, smashing the new guy that had just came to camp. I rush over to the scene and grab a hold of Ei. I wrap my arms tightly around her and pull her away slowly.
"Eli, come on sweetheart, it's not worth it. Do not waste your time with him. I am sure that you have a good reason for this, but I don't want you to turn into a killer, because your not a killer, and you know that. If he did something bad enough I'll shoot him for you, but you are not gonna kill him with your bare hands." I could tell that she was not to fond of this idea, she was dead set on killing this man. I give her a soft kiss on the cheek and whisper in her ear,
"Sweetheart, listen to me. I am sure that he deserves to be killed, but if someone is gonna do it I will not allow you to. You are not a killer, please don't give in to your anger and become one. It's worth it, and it's not all that amazing. I've killed people, most of the time cause they were getting ready to kill me. I will not allow you to kill him unless he shows that he is a threat to the camp. Then I give you full permission, but until then, i forbid it." I could tell that she REALLY didn't like that idea, but after a few moments of struggling she finally gave in. I felt kind of bad for holding her back, but I didn't want her to kill anyone that wasn't a threat I was sure that she had a good reason, but I still didnt want her doing it. I give her another kiss on the cheek and hold her tight for a little bit.

I still ignored Gemini and Ember, my rage building when they told me that HE was the father of Ember's baby.

When Ken came up and put his arms around me and kissed my cheek i snapped out of it slightly. He pulled me away whispering in my ear.
I tried to push him away but gave up after a moment. My eyes were back to their normal blue and I let oug a deep sigh.

"I'll let you live, for now. But I don't trust you." I hissed as I glared at James before Ken led me away.

Crying I ran to James and He wrapped me up in his arms. "I thought she was going to kill you." I sobbed into his chest as I rocked the baby. He patted my back and whispered reasurring words in my ear. "James, if they find Felix, you have to leave. I don't want to start a war between our kind, and felix really is the type to start one over something like this." I whispered. He nodded then kissed my head.

I go to where I stored all of the things from my trips into the ghost town. I pulled out the fabric, threaded a needle, and began to work.

I made a dress to fit Ember and a matching one for the baby. Out of another fabric I made a dress for Gemini that she could wear while she had the baby and after the baby was born. Then I set to work making elaborate gowns for the three of us girls.

Once I had finished making everything, I hid them where nobody would find them. I wanted to surprise everybody.

I thought of Ember's baby, Felicity I believe she had named her. Right now the only place the baby had to sleep was in one of the beds in the medical tent. I had always been good at making things and working with my hands. I decided to make a rocking crib for Felicity but that meant I would have to make anothet trip into the ghost-town.

I set out to look for Ken so that I could ask when we would be leaving.

"Why do you have so many people in here?" asked Elsa to Yvonne as she brushed her hair in the bathroom. She had just gotten done having a bath in one restroom while I had one of the others. There were about five bathrooms in the house. A bath had never felt so damn good... or painful... I was waiting outside the door as Yvonne struggled to get the snag and twigs out of the poor girl's hair. Her smile was a gradual widening of the lips, exposing a peek of glimmering teeth.
"Well," she said, drawling on the 'l', "my sister, my brother's wife, my mother, and I have been conceiving many babies in the past so that we could have a lot of help protecting ourselves from the nasty ones outside of here. We also pick up refugees outside and bring them into our family."
"How do you feed them all?" she said, her voice rolling over the words with curiosity. Yvonne shook her head and replied, "It is not an easy thing to do. We often have to raid restaurants and markets, and sometimes others' houses. But we have a lot of help when we go out on the prowl." She gave me a wicked smile that I almost recoiled from.

Shortly after was lunch time. The living room was so large that it was enough to put two very long dining tables in there. They were both filled with the residents, more than ten at each table. The only things that were on the menu were pot pies and chicken noodle soup. I had a brief glances of the kitchen through all the bustling people coming in and out. I had counted a total of five ovens, two refrigerators, and three dishwashers. The noise of the people's constant chatter was like the hum of an automobile. A little boy had grown an interest to me. He shouted something to me.
"What?" I replied. He repeated it, but I couldn't hear it over the snickers of the children behind me. He and I leaned forward and he said, "You are a police officer?"
"I am a military unit," I said. He curved his fingers around his ear and said, "What?"
"I am a military unit," I repeated, enunciating each word.
"You don't look like one!" My eyes dulled. My paper dress and pants were replaced with torn jeans and a black T-shirt that had two stick people on the ground with X's over their eyes and another stick figure standing over them with a wielded fist. Down below it stated 'Doesn't play well with others!' It was Connie's maternity shirt and the only one that fit me.
"I am temporary out-of-order!"

Ember and James had moved back to the Medical tent because Ember had began to bleed as running had torn her stitches from giving birth. She had been resitiched and was now feeding The baby.
