I shreaked out of pain as the other elder, who I had decided to call Simon, was letting zombies rip at my right arm, but fortuanatly, I was left handed. "How did you turn into a... hybrid... NOW!" Simon seeemed to shudder at the thought of a hybrid. Obviously, he wasn't the man behind the curtain.

"Why dont you tell me whos the leader here? Then I may kill you fast, unlike I'm going to do to everyone else here." At those words, he let the zombies at me again. "How did you turn into a hybrid?" He asked, fairly calm. However, I could sense his hatred towards me, while others probably couldnt. I tried to put my mind on something else. For some reason I couldnt concentrate on Ember, as she was pregnant with this... James' baby. It was her choice. I'll leave her desisions up to her. Eli? She's got Hemora. Sky? Who the hell even is she? Gemini? She hates me. No one waiting for me back at the camp. They probably already love James, and wouldnt believe me if I told them he was an infiltrator. I would leave them alone. A pity. I was starting to like most of them.

I screamed again out of pain, as more zombies ripped at my arm. How would I leave? Not a chance I could kill an elder... perhaps I could stun him, and make a break for it? They wont kill me, or else I wouldnt be here. Not a chance. I was... lucky.

i sighed in exhaution as eli finally let go.as soon as everyone left,kaleb sowed up. so,are you feelig ok? any thirst? "yes,actually.its only been a day,and i can already feel the baby kicking.its hungry,poor thing.but i have nothing to drink..." kaleb promptly picked me up and brought me into the medical tent.he sat me down on an empty bed and put his wrist in front of me."what are you doing?" giving you something to drink.blood from a pureblood will be better for the baby,anyway. i hesitated,and then,feeling another kick,i ignored his wrist and bit into his neck.we sat there for quite a while. i hope no one sees this... i thought,knowing that chanced were eli or ember would see it.

I checked Ken's office but he wasn't there. the only other place he could be was back out working on the trucks. I didn't want to go back there and risk running into James and losing my temper again.

((Sometimes if the baby is too large the opening rips and the mother has to get stitches, yeah I'm getting my RN license so I know alot of about this stuff LoLz))

My right arm suddenly began to hurt like hell. There was only one reason why my arm would be hurting for no reason what so ever. Felix? Are you listening? She asked somewhere out there. She knew he was in trouble but she couldn't run to help him. She need to find someone. "James go get Seargent Hemora." I said waking him up. "Why?" He asked opening one eye and yawning. "Something's wrong." I said urgently. He sighed then set off to find him.

Suddenly I heard Embers voice, right as another wave of zombies bit at my arm. Yeah... I'm listening... Simon noticed my concentration and got P.O.ed so he put lycans with the zombies too. Twice the pain.

when i finally pulled away,it had been about thirty minutes.kaleb seemed a bit surprised. you have a healthy appetite...and so does the baby... i giggled."he takes after you.hm...he? mabey...i wonder if it will be a boy or a girl?" i dont know.either way,it will be our child and we will love it. "spoken like a true father.im going to go find eli.i want to know when we're leaving,so i can plan ahead for the birth." and so i set off looking for her.

I need you here, I feel so dirty for lieing to you and cheating on you with James. Is there any way you get come home? I asked feeling tears about to fall. James came back in and said he couldn't find Hemora. "Go find Eli, on second thought no she hates you, go find Gemini." I said then shooed him out. He left muttering to himself about hormonal vampires.

I went outside and walked around a little. the sun had just set and the night air felt good.

I could hear the rumble of engines and headed in their direction. Ken was giving orders so I stood at a distance until he was done.

i found eli,and sensed james coming looking for me.i knew there would be trouble if the two of them were near eachother,so i had to think fast."kaleb!" i called,as he instantly showed up."please go and accompany james away from eli.i want to talk to her without any chance of murder." right. he went off in jamse's direction,heading him off as i went towards eli.

I started walking around the camp, having drivers pill their trucks out to the dirt path that lead out of the camp. I was going to have my 915 leading, and then there would be 5 HUMVEEs and another 915 behind me. Every truck would have a .50 Cal on the top, with as many people in each that it could carry, and we would put some people in the trailer that I would be pulling. Soon I had a full convoy of trucks put together, and luckily it was right as the sun started to set. I made sure that every knew where they were supposed to be in the convoy. I found Sky and made sure that she was ready to jump in my truck when we went to leave. She nodded and went to find the rest of her gear that she had put down. I went to my truck and made sure that everything was still in place like it should be. I had to tighten the bolts that were on the .50 cal turret. When I got done I let all the men know that we would be leaving in the morning. I turned to walk into the medical tent to go to sleep and I saw Eli standing there. I walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"We leave in the morning sweetheart. Please go and get some rest. We're leaving early so that we can have enough time to get around the town and make sure it's clear. You'll be riding with me, and Sky will be our gunner. She's a pretty good shot." I gave her another kiss, and I walk into the office, zipping the tent flap closed. I took off all my gear, took off my ACU jacket and laid down in the bed.

I nodded to Ken at he told me what we would be doing. I watched him as he left to go to his office.
"I love you." I whispered after him.

I could feel that Gemini needed to talk to me, she was waiting a short distance away.
"What is it Gemi? You've needed to talk to me about something but we just hadn't gotten a chance earlier. I'm sorry. Go ahead now."

James was headed off my Ken. "Ember needs to talk to Either Hemora, or Gemini." He said stuffing his hands in his pocket. Just a few more hours and then everything they were doing would be for waste. He thought with a small smile.

gemini is busy talking to eli,you know,the girl who tried to kill you? and sergeant hemora just went to get some rest.so im afraid you're stuck with me.by the way,i dont trust you at all,and i will help eli kill you myself if i have to. kaleb spke calmly aas always,making his point clearer than if he had shouted it.he had never had a problem kiling someone who needed it. that being said,what is it you need?

"I don't need anything, it's Ember, you know the one who does trust me and just gave birth to my kid." James said ignoring the remark Ken had just made. He always laughed in the face of danger, even before the infection, he owned a chop shop, and sold illegal drugs and weapons across the country.

alright,well im sure i can help her.ill just tell her that im under orders from gemini.and of course she trusts you,you took advantage of her and nearly took her away from her own kind,but ember is too kind to realize what scum you really are.and as for her child,im sure felix will do a fine job of raising her,once you stop trying to kill him.and yes,i know about that.i read minds.

James eyes widened when he said that. There was no way in hell he could have known that he had Felix locked up and being tortured by Lycans and zombies in a secret hidden wearhouse in the infected city, as they spoke. "I don't know what your talking about, but if you can help Ember then good." He said through gritted teeth as he turned around and went back to the medical tent. "Ember, Ken said he can help you with what you need, Gemini is busy."

I sat up and cradeled Felicity. "Ken, Felix is alive, I don't know where but I heard him talk to me. Do you think you can use your powers to hone in on him?" I asked hoping he could.

my name is kaleb,not ken.and yes,i could.actually,i know exactly where he is and what is being done to him.you might want to ask the father of your child...but he will deny it,wont he? well,i can help you contact felix,if you want. he offered.he knelt in front of ember and placed a hand on her forehead. now,close your eyes,and you'll be taken to where he is.he will se a vision of you,and the two of you will be able to communicate.as a bonus,only he will see you,no one else.

"Sorry Kaleb. Wait what do you mean ask the father of my child? What does james had anything to so with this?" She asked looking at james comfused.

it wouldnt matter if i told you.would you really believe that this man has anything to do woth felix's whereabouts? if you would believe me,then say so,and ill tell you. kaleb said with a sigh.but why would she believe him over the father of her child?

"I...I don't know. I mean I want to know where Felix is, but if James is involved I don't want to know how, but I have to." I sighed shaking my head.

kaleb sighed.he would have to tell her.very well.as for jamse's involvment,his father is torturing felix as we speak.james knows of this.he also knows where felix is,and what is being done to him.someone higher up is calling the shots here,and james knows who it is.it would seem,from what jamse's thoughts have shown,that whoever is in charge is based in a secret hidden wearhouse in the infected city not far from here. he watched her expression as he told her,waiting to see if his words sunk in,and if she believed him.

Ember looked at James with a disgusted face. "How could you?" She asked with her mouth open wide. She was hurt and confused. She looked back at Kaleb. "I belive you. Can you take me there? Do you think Eli or Gemini could watch Felicity? I'm okay to run now." She said frowing at James who turned and walked away out of camp.

kaleb watched to make sure the lycan didnt do anything. im not sure im allowed to do that,but if we told them,ill bet one of them would go with you.ill even go,if it comes to that.as for james,lets just hope sergeant hemora gets to him before eli does.

"Right now I could careless what happens to that bastard." Ember cursed him. It sounded funny coming out of her sweet tempered mouth, even to her.

kaleb laughed at the sound of a swear word coming from her mouthgood,because gemini just recieved a message from me via mind link.she'll have eli on him right quick. though he hoped gemini would have the sense to stay out of it.he didnt want her to get hurt. now,how about we go talk to gemini and eli? im sure we can work something out.
