"I'm not sure, Maybe he wants all the undead." Ember said pulling her knees up to her chest. Her head hurt and she wasn't sure why. She still felt incredibly hungry.

"I think it's something about us that he wants... Are you going to be okay?" I ask Ember.
My stomach growls at me just then and i remember that neither of us had eaten in quite some time.
"How about we get some food. Is there anything that you would like?" I stop for a moment after I say this. I didn't know yet if she had bloodlust like the other vampires or if she could still eat normal food like I could.

My eyes were closed as the Sirens, as I call them, sung out into the landscape. I always attended the song, as if it was a frequent opera sonata. Their song would be carried out into the day air and reach the ears of all creatures with extensive hearing, such as vampires and werewolves. To me, the song was like the gentle and compassionate voice of a singer. But to them, the song would differentiate to each creature that hears it, but to all as a beckoning. It would give each of them a sense of belonging and love.
The sound of it gave me the same feeling, even though I could barely hear it. The song was barely audible to my ears, but words spoken to the ear for others. I summoned Kiyoshi up to my seat. "Silence them," I said to her. She obliged and clapped her hands once, but the clap seemed to send the ground trembling. The Sirens stopped their singing and turned to face me. "That is quite enough," I said, nodding to them. "Thank you very much." The several vampires separated and sauntered off to retire to their dorms. Kiyoshi approached me and said, "I assure you, Lord Donovan, that creatures from far and wide will come to us, especially now that many more have joined since the downfall of the human base." I nodded to her.
"Yes," I said, sipping the wine in my goblet, "yes, but kill Dorinda; she was a little off tune..."

After I took Elsa back inside the medical tent, she began to calm down. She looked up at me and said, "Why did you do that? Why did you take me away? Eli needs our help; she saved us!" I sighed and said, "I know that, Elsa, but it doesn't change the fact that she is infected and still is considered a threat..." Elsa shook her head and said, "How that you think that? She saved our lives..."
"I don't think that, Elsa," I said, my voice laced with anger, "but to them, she is a killer. I know that she's different from other vampires, but they don't. All they see is a monster..." Elsa balled up her fists and covered her eyes with them, shaking her head.
"It isn't fair," she whimpered, stifling her sobs. I closed my eyes, and my thoughts traced back to Cyrus. I opened them and said, "No... it isn't..."

"Let's see what kind of food we can get then, shall we?"
I go to the door and ask the woman if there is anything that we could have to eat. Ken still hadn't returned from talking to the Major and i was starting to get worried.

Two plates of food were brought to me and i hand one to Ember.
"Let's see if you can eat any of this."
If she couldn't eat the food then I would know she craved blood. I prayed and hoped that she would be able to eat the food.

Ember looked at the plate then began to whoof it down, she didn't care what was on it...She was truely starving! "This is really good, thank you!" She called out the door.

The Major finished talking to me, and we went back to the trailer where Eli and Ember were. He opened the door and allowed me to walk in first. I could see that Ember was awake again.
"Sergeant, Eli asked if we had any food so I had some of the squad run and get them some food. Ember was extremely hungry." Sky said as we entered the trailer." They actually just finished. I was getting ready to have someone take their plates back."
"Thank you Sky. I appreciate that." The Major said to her, he then pulled up a chair and sat right by the glass wall. "Ok Miss Eli. I want to talk to you about how you were changed. I just need to know how it happened and what is going on with you. Miss.... Ember, I will want to know the same thing from you as soon as Eli has finished. So, whenever you're ready Eli, we can start." I couldn't wait for her to tell the story. The Major told me that if she really wasn't a threat to us then he was going to have her released and allowed to have free roam within our little area. He even made the same promise for Ember, which I was glad for because that way Eli would have someone to be with her if something happened. I could tell that Eli was having problems mustering up the strength to tell her story. It must be hard remembering what happened to you, and even harder having to retell it to someone who doesn't even really know you.

The smell of earth reached my nose and I opened my eyes, blinking a few times. I raised my head to find myself in a dense forest. I raised myself to a sitting position and scanned the area. All I could see were the sparse tall, thin trees scattered around the area along with vegetation covering the ground like a bushy, green pall. I smelled a hint of tobacco smoke and turned to see Cyrus looking off into the distance, smoking a cigarette.
"Cyrus!" I cried, struggling to my feet. He gave me an aggravated look and raised the heel of his shoe to snuff out the cigarette, muttering, "Finally." He straightened himself up, frowning at me. "What's wrong with you? Have you forgotten our mission already?" Before I could react, he turned and ran off into the dense forest ahead.
"Cyrus," I called, pursuing him. "Cyrus! Wait!" I struggled through the thickets of the forest that hung from tree to tree. It seemed like the vines wrapped around my limbs and were trying to pull me back. I fell to my knees, breathing heavily. I raised my head and looked around frantically. I could no longer see or hear Cyrus. "Cyrus!" I called, helplessly. As I gasped for breath, I saw the vines slowly wrap around me like snakes and tightening their grasp. I writhed against them, but they just became tighter... I called for Cyrus, panicking and struggling against the vines that pulled me back. As I yelled, my voice became fainter and fainter, as if taken away by the abyss of the forest until I could no longer hear it myself. The vines closed over my face and pulled me into darkness...
I felt them break away suddenly and I was faced with amazing heat the next moment. As I stood up, I noticed that I was in the entrance of the base. The heat was radiating off of a conflagration consuming the entire base. In the midst of the crackling of the flames, I heard barely audible screams. Beneath the blazing fire, I saw faces of corpses breaking away from the heat and turning to ash. Corpses were scattered haphazardly, with rats as large as cats feeding off of the remains. Black butterflies were inside the sockets of their eyes, feasting upon the juices of their craniums. I turned away from the gruesome sight and saw Cyrus standing behind me. His ice blue eyes were unusually dark and his skin sheet white. As I gawked at him, I heard a soft whispering in my ears. I whirled around, but saw no one. I could not distinguish what the voices were saying, but I was somehow comforted and enticed by them. I grew angry and held my face in my hands, the voices now becoming scratching against the back of my head.
"Dammit," I whispered, angrily. "Cyrus..." I raised my head to see blood trickling down both his eyes sockets as the black butterflies sucked the blood pouring from them. I stared in horror and he smiled a dead smile.
"They're coming to get you, Leon," he said in a mocking whisper. The top half of his body tilted and then fell off his abdomen. I backed up and fell on top of a corpse. As I scattered from the floor I saw that all the corpses had their faces toward me, stretching their blue lips into that dead smile...

My eyes snapped open, and I inhaled a loud breath, as if no air was in my lungs. I closed my eyes again and felt a fresh, intense pain in my back. The doctors had just operated on it to release the fabric that was seared to my back. It was now patched up, but still had a terrible stinging. I steadied my breath and looked to my right. There was now a small bed set up for Elsa to lay on, which she was in a deep sleep with. I sighed and stared up at the ceiling, dreading the next time I would drift back into slumber.

I sigh with releif as ember eats the food. This meant that she wouldn't need to live off blood.

Ken and the Major enter the trailer and i turn to them. The major pulls up a chair and asks me to tell my story.

I pause for a moment. What if i said the wrong thing? Would the Major have Ember and I killed?

I take a deep breath to calm myself before I begin.
"After the outbreak started, Ken and I did our best to stay hidden. Only going out for food durring the day with loaded weapons. We never left the other alone for fear of what might happen. Fear of what did happen in the end..."

I look over at ken and this gives me the streingth to continue.

"We met another couple who had been hiding like Ken and me and we joined up with their little group. we were forraging for food one day and it was starting to get dark, i was worrued and tryed to talk the others into going back to out hiding place but the others in the group had just come across a big stasch of canned foods and didn't want to leave untill we had gotten them packed up. I was getting more worried as it got darker. Vampires caught our scent and started hunting us. We all started running from them but the others were weighed down by all the cans in their bags and the vampires cought them quickly. Ken and I, along with another couple managed to dodge the vampires for a while but three broke off to follow us. The alleys split and the couple went one way while Ken and I went the other. I heard their screams and turned around to look behind. One of the vampires started to follow and I didn't notice that the alley had split again until it was too late. Ken went one Way and the vampire and I went the other."

My eyes start to burn and my chest starte to get tighter but i push myself to continue on.

"I reached a dead end I knew what would come next. Fear brought out desparation in me and I tryed to fight off the vampire. It was pointless to even try to fight off vampires, everybody knew that. But I didn't care anymore. I didn't want to become their next meal. The vampire managed to bite me a few times before i could break away and run. I found a hiding spot but It found me quickly and dragged me off. I guess by then the infection had started to set in and I was no longer wanted for food. I was dragged off and passed out from the pain. After that all I remember is waking up in the camp of vampires. From what I could tell I had turned quickly. Some vampires were talking about it quietly. I guess it surprised them because it took three days at the minimum for the change to occur, kind of like an incubation period for the infection. I had changed in one night."

I move around the room a little as a talk.
"When a dead body was brought to camp I got sick. I threw up a few times from the smell of the blood. I snuck out of the camp often in search of somethng that I would be able to eat. I hid from the humans like I used to hide from the changed. After weeks of eating nothing, I stumbled on a house that still had some food in the pantry, a little was rotten but I ate it hungrily and I was able to keep it down. I survived that way."
I pause for a second then continue.
"One night I snuck out like usual and went to the beach. The moon was full and lit my way. The sounds of the wafes and the smell of the salty air beckoned to me. I layed down on the sand and watched the stars until i drifted off to sleep. It was dawn when Lewis and his men found me still laying there."

I stop with telling my story for a minute.
"And contraty to popular belief, vampires do not explode or turn into ash in the sun. It just hurts our sensitive eyes skin." after saying that, I continue.

"They thought I was still human and took me to the base. Lewis left me there and ran off again. As far as I could tell He had been hunting down the wolves. I wondered around for a little while before everything became too much for me to bear and a ran out the gate where I bumped into Cyrus and Leon. They seemed to know that something about me wasn't right and acted cautiously. Cyrus went one way and I followed Leon since he seemed a little nicer. He gave me some money to buy some food since I hadn't eaten in quite some time. Then he left. After that, Ember stumbled on the base after being chased by the vampires. My only thought was to protect everyone and so I did. I never knew that Ken would be there... I didn't want him to see me like this!" I start to cry.

i waited in a tree close to the camp. it was dangerous, but i had not eaten in days, and this was the closest place where i could find any humans. my normally bright green eyes glowed red, and my fangs extended. i could feel myself losing control. "i am gemini starr." i whispered to myself, an exerscise i learned to keep myself calm. "i was born 18 years ago in ireland on hallowween. i came here to be an actress. i was once human. my hair is red, my eyes are green, and my skin is snow white, without a flaw. i am gemini starr. i am a moster." the trick is to state obvious things about yourself, remind yourself who you are, and it calms you. it usually works. i hated being a vampire, but i knew that to survive, i had to drink. i tried drinking from animals, but their blood would never sustain me for long. i tried going without, and started to FEEL my life slipping away. i had no choice. i knew this was a suicide run, but i had to try. i thought of my parents, both long dead. they would be so dissapionted in me. but how was i supposed to know this plague would strike? i sighed and stood up. i moved foreward, blending in with the shadows. i hoped no one would see my scar. it was my eternal shame,a cross-shaped scar on my left cheek, a souvinier from my first fight with a human. i was skilled in martial arts, but they surprised me. the diseas had just started then, and people were paranoid. i hadnt done anything, but they attacked me. they thought it would be funny to mark a vampire with a cross. and now it would never go away. i was close now, so close.i could smell the humans, hear them, feel them, all my senses were super-charged from the change. i started to feel faint. days without sustanance had drained me. i had to feed soon, or i would faint right where the humans would see me. just as i stepped out and started foreward, my head began to spin, and it happened. i fainted, right there where they would find me and no doubt kill me. my last memory before the blackness took me was the bbarking of a nearby stray, undoubtedly sensing my presence. my vision went black, and that was it.

Eli finished her story and started to cry a little bit. I was holding back a lot of emotions, one of those was to grab the keys from the Major and go in the cell and hold her tight.
"Well Eleadah, I believe that this story checks out. you are free to go." He unlocked the cell and he allowed Eli to walk out. She came to me and I wrapped my arms around her. "Now, Ember I would like to hear your story. Tell me as much as you can remember." The Major went to sit back down. Just as Ember opened her mouth to tell her story, the door of the trailer was yanked open.
"Sir, we just found a woman trying to sneak into camp. It's not someone that we have registered and she is unconscious so we cant get any information from her." A Sergeant said as he entered the trailer.
"Ok, take her to the other holding cell. It's in truck number M143. It's about three trucks down from this one. Be gentle, but not too gentle. I want whoever it is handcuffed and shackled for safety until we know who she is. I will be there in a little bit. Understand?" The Major seemed a little worried, I could understand why, taking a look at Sky, I could tell that she could too. We thought that Ember was the last survivor that we would find. Yet here was another person, some thing didn't seem right.
"Hemora, Sky, I want you too to release Ember. You are to keep her and Eli by your side at all times. If something happens, you will take them and get out of here. I don't want any objections, if I say go, you go. There is another town a little ways away from here. It's heading is 0-3-0." The Major pointed in the general direction, "A good friend of mine is the commanding officer there. We used to keep in touch until the outbreak got really bad." He threw me the keys to the cell and turned around to walk out of the trailer. "Hemora." He stopped right at the door.
"Yes Sir?"
"If something happens to me, you are in charge of the unit here. If someone gives you any crap, you tell them that Major McCoy's last wish is that you wanted that. Sky, your are to be his assistant, not the XO, but his assistant."
"Yes Sir." We both said in unison, and the Major walked out of the trailer. I turned and unlocked the cell and let Ember out.
"Ember and Eli, this is Sky." I said gesturing to her. She kinda waved a little bit. "This little private has actually saved my life a few times so far, and she is a damn good shot. Between her and I, y'all are safe with us. Now, let's get out and walk around a little bit. we're gonna stick close to this truck tho, just in case something does happen, which I hope that it doesn't. Sky, I want you to have your weapon locked and loaded on safe." I said as I walked towards the door. She nodded and checked her weapons chamber, and then gave me another nod. I turn to Eli and Ember, "I want you two between me and Sky at all times. I will be in front and Sky will be behind y'all. Let's go." I open the door, take a step out, check around to see that everything is still as it should be, and step forward so that the others can get out of the trailer.

I step out of the trailer and immediately smell something, another vampire. I hiss and move in front of Ken.
"Something isn't right. There is a vampire close. The Major could be in danger! Ken, you and Sky go find the major and keep him away from that person they just found, i have a bad feeling about them. I'm going to go to Elsa and Leon. Ember, you go with them."

I turn and run off in the direction of the medical tent to find Elsa and Leon.

Eli barks orders and runs off. Leaving me and Sky looking at each other with a loss of words.
"Ok, let's go. Ember you stay between me and Sky." We take off for where the Major had gone, his footprints still could be seen in the dirt. We reached a little ring of soldiers, it almost looked like the scene when we had found Ember. The Major was standing back from the group a little bit, holding his pistol in his hand. as soon as we got close enough I raised my rifle and aimed it directly at the woman's head.
"Stand back!" Everyone in the ring stared at me and Sky, who had also raised her weapon and was standing directly in front of Ember. "Everyone stand back from her. She's not what you think she is." I could see it dawning on peoples faces what I meant.
"Weapons hot, at the ready!" The squad leader snapped. I could hear the weapons being locked and loaded. One by one they were pulled up and aimed at the woman. The Major walked to me with a concerned look on his face.
"Are you sure Hemora? One hundred percent?" I nodded to him, keeping my weapon trained on this woman, afraid of what could happen. "Very well. Triple tie her. Make sure there is no way that she will be able to easily escape. I want half of this squad's weapons on her at all times until we get her in the trailer cell. Let's move!" The squad jumped into action. They made sure that her bindings were tight and they set off for the trailer.
"Let's go find Eli." Sky and Ember both nod, and we set off for the medical tent.

(@Hemora)- Don't play my character okay,}

I nodd to the other vampire, i had forgotten the name, and followed the group of men. Another Vampire? What was going on? I didn't sense anything. Sure the air now had a sweet scent to it, almost like strawberry, only sweeter. I looked over at the soilder beside me, his neck was exposed. I could see the vein in his neck pulsing as he walked....

I got to the medical tent and the moment I entered Elsa runs to me and wraps her little arms around me.
"They let me go." I smile and say to both Elsa and Leon. "I guess they realized that I wasn't a threat to anybody."

I look to the door. I could still smell the vampire that had recently entered the camp.
"I'm going to stay here with you. There is an unwanted guest in the camp and until something is done about them I'm not leaving either of you alone for a minute."

I pick Elsa up and hold her gently in my arms while I walk over to Leon's bedside.
"How is your back healing Leon?"

i look around, wondering what happened. i decide they must want to question me. i find that i am tied up quite well. i could break the bonds, but i am weak and i truly do not want to give them a reason to harm me. i look around and wait for someone to come and start questioning me. i am fully ready to admit what i was doing. i no longer see the point in fighting. "they might as well kill me." i say with a sigh, as my stomach growls loudly. i feel lost, and confused. "i wish someone would just come. i'm so sick of waiting all the time..."

((Tut.... we need a werewolf or zombie in here. There are too many freakin' vampires...))
As I lay down against the bed pan, my eyes focused on my fist. As I held it in front of my face, I would open it, and then ball it up over and over. Whenever I did, my fingers struggled to meet my demands and trembled violently. My spinal nerves were damaged by the burns. I knew that my body reflexes and dexterity would be affected, but my anger rose at every flex of my fingers. I let out a hissing sigh and thrust my fist against the bedpan. With the impairment of my hands, I will be useless in battle without the ability to use firearms. I shook with anger as I let out shallow breaths. Elsa observed me as I trembled and hissed like a tea pot, and whimpered, "Leon? What's wrong..." I didn't answer her; I couldn't. I was overwhelmed with wrath and grief. I wouldn't be able to protect Elsa, or myself for that matter, with hands that wouldn't listen to me. I squeezed my eyes shut and turned over on my side, cursing under the breaths that I forced out.
I heard Elsa emit a cry and sat up instantly, reaching for the invisible gun in my invisible holster on my waist. When I looked down to see no holster, I looked back up and saw Elsa hugging Eleadah's leg. I blinked once, letting my alert be disarmed. I stared at Eleadah with a curious look as she smiled down at Elsa.
"Oh, Eli!" cried Elsa, rubbing her face into Eleadah's thigh. "I knew they had to let you go! You saved us! Thank you, Eli!" How the hell would they let an infected person go? I thought, bewildered. They are the strictest with contamination. A bitter, unwanted thought entered my head and I looked down at the ground.
"Why exactly did they let you go?" I asked, trying not to sound accusative. "It's not very common to have an infected one be discharged alive..." Elsa stared at me with a frown, but then smiled up at Eleadah.
"Because they listened to me!" she said, beaming. "They knew I was telling the truth when I said that you saved us..." She looked at me and asked, "What other reason why they let her go?" I shook my head and sighed, "It's nothing..." I looked up at Eleadah as she asked about the wounds on my back. "They're fine," I lied, giving her a sheepish smile. "Just some burns that will take time to heal..."

((I agree about the werewolf or zombie. I don't think anybody would want to be a zombie though. lol. I made a change to the first post to let people know that we need zombies or werewolves.))

I frown a little when Leon asks me about the reason they let me go. And when he answered my question about his back I could tell he was lying.
"The Major just asked me to tell my story about how i was changed and what happened to me. I'm not a threat to anybody. Even the slightest smell of blood makes me nautious."
I set Elsa down and go over to Leon.
"Let me see your back."

Hi... I'm joining.

I look around. Smell around the ware house I was in. I had long been deserted from my "comrades" who couldn't bare to see the transformation. They couldn't be as mercyful as to rip off my head either, since I saved them from turning into what I had become. I was neither a vampire, like I had for the last 300 years. I wasnt human, which I had long since forgotten. I wasn't even a zombie. I was new. I was alone. I was a hybrid. I had the inteligence of a vampire, the senses of a zombie, but no friends, since I was the only one of my kind. I figured that I would soon be murdered, by either a vampire or a lycan. Not a chance in hell a human would kill me, and no way a zombie would either. I figured a zombie would think I was their "leader". maybe that IS what I was. the leader of the creatures i was trying to kill.
I soon tried calling my comrades and told them that I was to hunt them down for abandoning me. THen i tried remebering how i even DID turn into a zombie, after all, my skin was pretty hard. Then i realized i sucked in their blood, and that gave me the virus, from my mistake. Then again i now probably had better ablilities than my exfriends, so i had a chance to kill them. a small chance, but all the same, a chance.

I started running, trying to find some sort of civilization. I soon came across a desert. I still didnt remember where i was. I saw watchtowers in the distance. i smelled both humans AND vampires had been there. But there was a more recent smell. zombies. and something that resembled neither human or zombie, but similar. was there another like me? i might have allies after all. Oh well. there was no one there now. i should follow the human/vampire smell. ill go to the others next. zombies still frighten me.

I want to know if I made an okay beginning. Did i make up a stupid idea? or can i continue? Thanks!
You said you needed a zombie right? is it close enough?

Elsa looked up at Eleadah as she explained the situation. She smiled and looked at me. "Wow," she said, beaming at my frowning face, "those guys are nicer than I thought." I nodded in agreement, although I was still dubious. Even though Eleadah let Elsa go to approach my bedpan, she just followed right to her and clung to her leg once again. I flinched slightly as Eleadah asked to see my back. I, myself, wasn't sure how it looked, but it felt sickeningly painful, so I presumed that it was going to be gory. I shook my head and said, "The doctors patched it up. I don't think I would like to go through the pain of removing the bandage. Besides, I don't really want anyone to see it..." Elsa grimaced at the thought and put her face in Eleadah's leg.

We arrived at the medical tent. I kind of left Ember at the door and immediatly walked over to Eli to check on her. She was checking on the soldier she had saved. A little girl was hanging off her leg while she talked to the soldier. I went and I sat on one of the benches that were on the side of the tent. Sky came and sat down next to me. We had been sitting there for a little bit when all of a sudden I saw the Major getting ready to enter the tent. I stood up and snapped to attention.
"ATTEN-HUT!" I yelled as soon as the Major entered the tent. All the soldiers snapped to attention.
"Carry on!" He yelled, and everyone went back to what they were doing. "Hemora! Sky! With me now!" He yelled at us.
"Yes Sir, Moving Sir." I yelled and started moving across the tent. That was a phrase that I had never used. I just kinda blurted it out.
I didn't know that we were back in Basic Training Sergeant." The Major chuckled as I drew even with him, Sky was right on my heels.
"Yes Sir, sorry. I just kinda said it without thinking." I hung my head a little at the shame I felt.
"It's ok Hemora, just don't let it happen again. Now, I would like you two to go out and find the other half vampire. I would really like to hear the story of what happened to her. If I suspect that she is a threat then she will be put back in the trailer cell until I am sure she can be trusted. You are both to get her and bring her here, and you are both to stay here in the back office while I talk to her. No one else is allowed back here. Period! Got it?" We could tell that he was being very serious with us. We both nodded and went off to bring Ember to him.

After a couple of hours of walking, the scent grew dramatically. I could soon hear the human/vampire's talking. it seemed to be some sort of medical camp. I could hear rather loudly, some human soldiers shouting commands. then suprisingly, a chuckle from someone of higher command. I decided to try to watch them for a few days, and see if they were a threat or not. if so, i would try to destroy them. Hopefully, that wouldnt be the case. But humans are stupid creatures, and there was no real purpose for them to be alive. I would probaby end up killing them all anyways, even ifthey werent hostile at first. So i would watch them for awhile.

I followed three soldiers, without them detecting me (as far as i could tell at least). It was improbable for them to see me, even if they could tell someone was watching them. Soon, two of the soldiers (now i knew their names were Sky and Hemora) were off to find a half vampire named ember. They needed to know if they could trust her. Something must have happened at the fort i was at for them not to kill her right away.

While following them, I accidnetly made a noice, and they pulled out their firearms at their sides and pointed them at were i hadbeen. However, i was already too far away for them to know I was their. I decided to go somewhere else, but not to the major(they were talking about him a little wheni was following them) so i decided to look around for other people to find. It was pretty boring, so i decided, to pretend I was human. I injected myself with a vial that would make my "infection" undectable to humans. I pretened to faint right near hwere people were watching. hopefully i would get into the base undected.

i sensed the presence of a hybrid. i could hear it pretending to faint. i knew i needed to warn someone. "HELP! PLEASE! theres a ybrid in the camp! help! sommeone! please somone listen to me..." i felt helpless. they would never listen to me. they woud be killed, and i would be responsible. "please...someone..." i began to cry. something i hadn't done since i had been changed. i had thought i was no longer capable of it. i was wrong. and i cried."please...someone help, please..."
