I looked up and smiled. "Thank you very much for your kindness. Are there are chores I can do to earn my keep?" She asked bowing her head down in a form of respect.

James sighed and headed into the house, not wanting to watch his love be buried. He headed towards the room he had slept in, just to lock himself in, then he heard Gemini crying, and walked into the room. "Gem... Are you okay?" He asked standing in the door way.

i looked up.james was standing there asking me if i was ok.now i felt guilty.what right did i have to cry? poor james must be suffering far more than me.i sniffled."i-i'm ok,i guess.i just...i was really getting to think of ember as a sister,but now..." i started crying again.behind me,kaleb had finally managd to get todd to calm down.

"I know... I loved her... I'm sorry to see her leave... I feel like a part of me is missing now.." He sighed wrapping an arm around her. "He's beauitful you know." He said nodding over to Todd.

I nodded in reply.
"If you want, you can come with me to meet the others. I have to check on Gemini and my godchild." I told Yuko.

My hands were twitching with excitement as Kiyoshi escorted me down to the research laboratory. The experimentalists claimed that they had a breakthrough with their studies, and needed to speak with me very urgently. My feet passed through the corridors briskly to get there. I could barely stand the endless trip down there. As soon as I entered the laboratory, a choir of wails and cries from the experiments erupted around me. The pandemonium was only ringing in the back of my head, for I was too focused on the mission ahead of me.
"Lord Donovan," said a voice from behind. I turned to see one of the experimentalists kneeling to me. I shifted the rest of my body and said, "Get up and speak to me what you have found." Although I was extremely anxious, I was able to keep my coy composure.
"We have been able to fulfill your request," said the scientist, raising himself, "to make hybrids. Not only have we made a zombie-vampire hybrid, but also a vampire-werewolf hybrid." A smile appeared on my lips.
"Excellent," I said, pleased. "When will they be ready to put into our legion?"
"Well, they are completely fine right now. However, there seems to be a... slight miscalculation in their power." As he spoke, the smile slowly faded from my face. "The hybrids do not seem to be as strong as we hoped. The merging of the viruses didn't seem to make much of an effect on their strength, or anything for that matter..." Furrowing my eyebrows, I said, "So you brought me all the way down here just to tell me of your failure." The man put a anxious look, which he tried to hide by a smile.
"I apologize for this disappointment, but I have very good news as well. We have been also working on the difference between the ages of infected. It turns out that the younger ones exceed the older ones in all stats. Dexerity, agility, stamina, and even metabolism for injury." The man caught my attention once again.
"How young do you speak of?" I asked, curious.
"Seven to twelve years of age is the range for higher staus," he replied. "They children were so strong that we had to put them in metal containers instead of bars like everyone else." His eyes were bright with hope that this new discovery would make up for the earlier disappointment. I turned to my adviser and said, "Kiyoshi, please gather up a crowd of about a hundred of each plague and spread them out. Give them the order to capture young people. Every one they get their hands on."

A while after the departure of Ember, Elsa was invited to play a game called 'flags'. She was still very solemn, but I insisted that she go play and not disappoint the other kids. The actual reason was because I was hoping that the game could keep her mind off of the tragedy that had just occurred.
As I sat on the couch and watched the fake smiles flash across her face, I reluctantly thought of how ironically drawn I seemed to be to hardship. I knew that in no way could I put the blame on the current ordeal this time, but I still couldn't push away the thought of no matter how safe or content Elsa and I am, misery always finds its way in. And this time, it was the life of one of the girls who had saved our lives. All that I wanted was for Elsa to remain content and not have to struggle to smile, like she had to now. I knew that I couldn't keep her happy forever, but I always felt so disheartened whenever she wasn't. So this is how parenting feels, I said to myself. Although taking care of Elsa came with its disappointments and failures, I never thought that it would be better with her out of my care. It probably would be easier, but I knew I would only have myself to live for. Elsa was the reason for my living. I knew that I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for her.
Evidently Elsa had noticed I was gawking at her for some time when she waved to me with little giggles following after. I returned the gesture with a my index and middle finger slicing the air a single time.

((that's fine. i've been so busy working that i haven't had a chance to get on and i don't get a day off until next wednesday. i think we should probably be leaving yvonne's house in the infected city soon. there isn't much left to do there and hemora can't really do much until we get back to the new housing.))

I walked up the stairs and into the room where Gemini and the others were. I could hear Elsa and the other children of the house playing downstairs.

"How is everybody?" I asked, worried how hard everybody was taking Ember's death.
"I wanted to talk to everybody about something important... I think it's about time we leave here and go back to our new home. Ken and the other soldiers should have everything ready for us by now and I'm sure we have just about worn out our welcome here. I already told Yvonne that we would be leaving in a few days." I stood in silence. I hoped that Elsa and Leon would come back with us but I knew that it would be better for them to stay here with the other humans.
I would have to talk to Leon later.

i listened intently as eli told us we should be leaving."i think youre right.it was our plan all along to go there,i think it's well past time that we did.there's just one thing.how is felix going to know where we've gone?" i asked worriedly.i didnt want to leave him behind,but i had no idea how to tel him where we were.

I should've become an actor instead of (censored for government reasons). Then I'd be in hollywood now, living the dream. Or living in a box... one of the two... HEY i should try to become an actor. that would be funish.)
