Yeah, poor Kuma. I've been really curious about his backstory ever since he sent the Strawhat crew away and said that line to Rayleigh, and some more snippets mentioned during the Marine headquarters war. Seeing him all beat up with sparks coming out of him in front of the Sunny was just...sad D: Although as a Peacemaker weapon, I suppose the scientists would just fix him up again with machine parts. I don't look forward to if he faces up with Strawhats again later on, probably as enemies this time.

New chapter is raddicaaall! I still feel so bad for that poor Sea Cow. Also this just proves how much Oda loves to bring characters back. I wonder if there is a bigger purpose for the sea cow or if Oda was just having some fun.

I love how Zoro has joined in on being silly with Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp. Before all he did was sleep and exercise.

Also, whaaaaat @ the Kraken! Can't wait to what Luffy does, we all want to see more of his new powers! And yeah, I'm so tired of that villain now. Can't wait till he gets booted off of Sunny and hopefully he STAYS away.

At first glance I had thought the large kraken was a tortoise...probably from the shape of the head. then I squinted and saw that it was a squid.....i can't wait to see how luffy's going to take it down, seeing as he technically shouldn't be able to fight in the water..

The newest chapters are AWESSSOOMEEE! I'm so happy the Strawhats are back together! It really makes me love the series so much again.

I'm so glad they actually made it to Fishman Island, I was scared that Oda might draw it out until Christmas. I'm mad at the group being split up once again though.

The mermaids had been poking at the barrel where the wax-guy was sealed inside, which probably means he'll escape some time later on and be a part of what's going to happen on Fishman Island, though it'll be curious as to which side he'll be on. Guy's a tad unstable. xD;

So the creepy liquid villian did escape his barrel and seemed to snatch up a mermaid too! I wonder what is going to happen with that.

I also feel so bad for Sanji, he finally gets to the place of his dreams and he can't even enjoy it for more than two seconds. Hopefully the blood spewing parts won't last for much longer because while they are funny at first, I can see it getting old really fast.

Oda really does know how to leave us with terrible cliffhangers, seriously Luffy destroying Fishman Island?! How is that going to happen? Can't wait to see it!

hehe, i remember watching one piece as a kid
it was on toonami and i was really little so i don't remember much
but the parts i do remember were that luffy had a straw hat, there was a girl with blue hair in a ponytail who was a princess from alabasta, there was a chef guy with blonde curly hair, another guy with a sword and green stubby hair XD
there was also a part i distinctly remember, which was when luffy was trying to help a girl get well (nami, i think; she had orange hair) and he was making funny faces XD he said that laughter was the best medicine <3

Yeah, I can't see Luffy destroying Fishman Islands either .__. Maybe it was a coincidence where he happened to be at a scene of destruction, or someone else wearing a straw hat happened to come to the island....maybe it's that villain-guy in the barrel! He could change his shape with wax, so it's possible he changed himself to look like Luffy.

And yes, Sanji's blood-spurting is getting old...

Whaaaaaat @ the New Fishman crew. I like their designs but I don't like them lol. I really don't like them for using a drug to make themselves powerful either, that is so weak and pathetic to me. The Strawhats are going bust them apart with their own strength and power. Can't wait to see it happen.

Even though I still hate the liquid guy, I'm really wondering what's going on with him at this point.

I wonder if the fishman villain guy who ate the Aim/Target fruit would be able to swim or not...O.o I mean, they pride themselves in having superior strength and the ability to live on and off the land in the waters, but wouldn't that be a hindage to his powers if he can't swim and they happen to be in the middle of the ocean?

The aim/target guy confused me at the end, why was he wearing that bubble if he is a fishman? And he had to put a glove on too, maybe that has to do with his powers though. And it might just be me but even HE looks kind of like Michael Jackson too. Like from the Smooth Criminal video.

I'm guessing that the glove is there to prevent direct contact...maybe anyone who touches his hand/vice versa will become 'marked' and thus become a target whenever he uses his fruit powers. Although I wonder about that bubble too...maybe the ocean hates all who has devil fruit powers to the extent of not even letting those with natural waterbreathing abilities breathe? >_>

Yeah, I guess his devil fruit abilities explain the glove and the bubble once you really think about it. That has to suck though. Being a fish man yet can't even go in water anymore.

Yeah, it's interesting to read about how all the fishmen and mermaids get their 'species' from a random gene pool of all their ancestors. I had been wondering about why there's nearly no two same fishman/mermaid, and how they're different even when they're related.

I feel sorry for the poor shark, he looks like he's going to chuck it any moment with the huge mermaid stuffed inside him for so long...xD;;

I love One Piece! Definitely my current top obsession. Which is actually rather surprising considering I was rather against it not too long ago. I always though it was going to be one of the typical shonen-manga series that starts off with a promising tale but loses the plot about 200 chapters in and ends up in disaster or just stops making sense all together!

However after reading OP and giving it a chance I was wonderfully surprised and utterly delighted! :heart:

I adore the characterization, plot (the fact that it actually has a proper plot is brilliant), the whole atmosphere and lessons it teaches..
Oh! And the fact that it addresses real life situations too! (Such as slavery, racism, human trafficking, social segregation etc) BUT! The best thing about it addressing such situations is that no matter what, reason gets kicked to the curb and Luffy just goes on Fighting the Power! (A good example of this is when Luffy punches that Tenryuubito dude!)

I don't actually think I can pick a favourite character of the series, It's a choice between Luffy, Usopp, Marco, Ace, Whitebeard, Ivankov, Kid, Bonney, Shanks, Bon-chan and Robin. All of whom I love for different reasons! :heart:

I'm really looking forward to where this manga is taking us and I find that I can barely wait for the new chapter to come out each week!v :pirate:

I also love the new arc, I'm really interested in seeing how Jinbei's life has gone. Since he's gone from beating humans to within an inch of their lives to protecting them with his own life!

(Also it sucks being new and having to jump into older conversations, sorry about that and the small rant :cry: )
