At one point I thought I could draw whatever I want, however I want. Than one day when I was trying to go for a soft and romantic mood in one of my pieces, I started to make it dark and depressing when my mom pissed me off. Suprisingly, it looked a whole lot better. It was more powerful, so of course I didn't change it.

What about you?
Does your mood affect what and how you draw?

Mood is a big insperation for me, but my main thing is music, i love to listen to a song and the story hidden in it and try and make a drawing basied on the music, some of my things are really good, and i love how i've been drawing now a days

I suppose my mood affects how I draw. I usually have a picture in mind already of what I want to draw. Though usually even if I want to draw doesn't mean I can.. haha! So it's like being at the mercy of my shy artistic side.

Mood definitely effects the way I paint, I think you can see it pretty clearly when you look at my work. I've tried painting happy things when I wasn't happy and it just doesn't work.

even on my off days were things didn't turn out right, you could tell it was an off day.plus i would make the occasional side remark depending on my moods !!!

My drawing is always dependent on my mood. Sometimes I'll feel really uppity and decide to be daring and draw something I've never attempted before, or sometimes I'll be really down and in the dumps and I'll draw some really macabre, dark and just sort of bloody piece that reflects how deeply I feel.

My moods never really go halfway, either...it's always a really jerking change that sometimes just leaves me numb for awhile, which is the bane of my drawing capability.

mood always effects how i draw. recently, i've been in a pretty good mood, so my drawings are pretty bright and cheery. back in high school, i was a little upset and depressed, so my artwork was pretty dark.

My mood usually comes out in my art. I mostly do photogarphy though, so it would be a given that if I am seeing the world as an angry or depressed person, my photos would reflect that because thats all I'm seeing...

as for my drawings, I draw my mood only in extreme cases of depression/sadness.

My mood is usually bored, so a lot of my drawings look boring. I don't usually get in bad or good moods. :\ Just kinda... blah. I do like sad drawings though. Usually I try to think of something to draw and just go with that...

Absolutely Circe. I had many experiences when I paint a picture that matches my mood and it looks good in the end. I even sometimes release anger by slapping red and black paint on a canvas or paper....(just hoping i don't make a big mess...><;;; )

Mood will always affect how I draw. Even going through old drawings from years ago, I can remember exactly what mood I was in when I was drawing it. It's kinda like having a photographic memory... Only with emotions and not a whole bunch of events.

My mood effects them heavily, if my mood is bad, my art is psychotic, demented, depressing, you name it.

But if I'm in a good mood it's really calm and innocent.

When I try to draw people, the expresions they show reveal what I feel, even if I don't show anyone my true emotions, which kinda gets me questioned alot after friends see my work

I tend to draw fewer people when I'm in a bad mood--just lots of monsters. Objectively looking at them, they aren't particularly dark or creepy ones, but I can usually tell what mood I was in on each page of a sketchbook.

Moods really help my art. But I have found out that if your really mad and your trying to draw happy, its really hard for me. I tend to draw what my mood is. I helps get out my emotions. When Im mad and I draw the picture is a "dark" picture, but then I'm no longer mad.

For me my mood doesn't really effect how I draw, more like what I draw. If I'm angry or depressed my work turns out downright creepy or gorey. Happy moods usually throw out something fluffy and romantic. And if I'm bored or stressed I can never seem to draw anything I like :XP

i hardly draw while in extreme moods, so it's hard to say if they have any influence on the type of pictures i end up drawing. Something that i do know is that the reverse seems to be true for me--that is, if i'm drawing a sad scene/person, for instance, then i'll feel a bit down too. i'll tend to don the expression of the character that i'm drawing at the time, too.

I'm not sure...it seems like I make my best drawings when I'm in a calm, happy or neutral mood. But if I feel sad or depressed drawing often helps me feel better.

Of course. Mood effects most things, drawing is of course one of those things that get affected. My drawings are always one of the things that change with my mood. The best drawings I do are when I am feeling depressed because all the lines are more exaggerated, more defined and of course they have so much more emotion in them too.
