I am still a Gaian.
I still check my account and everything.

However I don't like the Cash Shop.
I understand they are a business and like everyone else in the recession need to make the money.
However it kinda brought it down hill and it really killed the economy.

Even with all of that I still go there and I still love my avatar.
I don't like many of the people that are on there as much.
Maybe this will be a better fit for my personality as I am now.

I still am on Gaia (I'm Keishiroei there) even if I rarely use it. I tend to go there when I look for chaos and random stuff, and that's quite self explainatory. By the way I don't think it's all plain stupid, I tend to go in Life Issues forum and shot my opinion. Not too much to complain about it.

I still have an account on there, Nasis Sukiyo, but I haven't actually gone on there for a long time. The site's users just started bugging me. I'm not sure if it was the users changing or me, but I just got sick of it. I had a big hoopla where I gave up all my billions in items and donated tons of ninja bands to the Kakashi fan guild I started and said goodbye. Last time I checked in I logged onto my mules account to check on her as I had some of my more extreme valuables in there for if my kids ever wanted to play and found she had been hacked. Still not sure how that happened but I suddenly realized I didn't want my kids going on the site anyways. :P

I'd browse the VGD but it was dead. :/

I think that just about everyone on here is or has been a Gaian at some point, myself included.
I took a HUGE break from Gaia.
I'm back on there a little more regularly now.
Mostly to play zOMG, but it's at the point that it is so huge, that I feel isolated if that makes any sense.
I'm not going to buy Cash Shop items, I'm not finding too much actual conversation on there...so it's almost like why bother...BUT I have to say, I do indeed enjoy zOMG.
It's been Gaia's saving grace.

I played for almost 3 years, but an idiot living in my house was hacking and Gaia banned me accusing me of hacking! Of course, he was banned as well, but all 3 of my accounts are gone. I tried to appeal, I was considering marching to the headquarters and demanding my account back, but when I realized I was addicted to a pre-pubescent wasteland of trolls and morons, I decided it was time to give up. Besides, when I went to the threads trying to get someone out there to recognize me as not a thief, everyone just said I was trolling and said it was my fault I was banned. If there is a small chance that anyone knew me, I was drakenlady on that site. Oh well, my avatar is unhackable and permanently frozen in time, yet still viewable and bragable.

I'm still a Gaian and will probably still be one =D
I've never ventured off to the GD or CB so I guess I haven't really experienced on what you guys stated as nasty people there.
Lol.

I'm more of a guild/clan person and those two places are where I usually hang out to post stuffs.
I like playing the market over there even if I'm only targeting the lower ranged items (mostly event items and stuffs up to 50k).
I'm currently working my way up to achieving my first mill, which is hard haha... xD
Aside from saving up, playing the market and booty grabbing, most of my gold source comes from posting and exploring the guilds (I'm in over 30 guilds (O_o) ... ).

So as you can see, I really enjoy my stay at Gaia.
Having been sticking around for 5 years and seeing the changes implemented.
Yes, the prices are ridiculously inflated these days but it doesn't bother me much since I'm one of those going for reasonable priced items (mostly from the gold shops haha...).

So why am I here at menewsha when clearly, my liking for Gaia has not decreased a bit?
Simple, really.
I love forums.
I love conversing in boards, mixing in with various online communities.
So, currently, I'm in the midst of joining any avatar-based forums I've stumble upon =P

I used to play gaia too...

now I just check it from time to time to see how other virtual item prices go sky rocket and events that are happening there and lurks around on random topic thread to read and kill time...I'm a lurker now in gaia

I was on gaia and started an account on there again, but I barely even go on it at all. So hard to get money if you don't want to spend all day playing the fish tank game. I forgot what it was called. I am not really sure what to think. It is rather cute and all but everything that is nice is really expensive as heck and I hate that. I wished things would be more evenly priced instead of jacked up big time.

Yes. I still go to Gaia from time to time. I'm not really liking it as much as I used to though (too many spammers and such). Been a member since somewhere in August in 2006.

I agree with Squeaks comment. >_< Compared to Mene... Gaia seems a little... I don't know. It's all over the place; it's not as specialized as it was in the past. Specialized might not be the best word, but since Gaia has grown, it just isn't the same. :( It's like they've lost a bit of control over the community once it expanded.

Menewsha is so structured, but it isn't elitist. They stick to their rules, and I feel that there's a lot more interaction here, not just between the staff but between the users as well. People on Gaia tend to group up because there's so many different conflicting interests and not enough bridges between them.

If that made any sense. :\

I still have my Gaia account, but I rarely, rarely go on. That site is pure chaos, and it drives me mad.
