Yeah, the Traumatize combo was a shocker. First of all, I couldn't believe he was playing the card to begin with. Picture a sweet little old Asian man who walks with hunched shoulders, kind of shuffles along, with breathing apparatus hooked to his face and oxygen tanks in the cart he drags behind him. I wish I was kidding. I'm not. This guy was maybe four and a half feet tall. Does not fit my mental image of 'evil' in any way, how about yours? And then there was the natural assumption that he was using the card on me, that was bad enough. Then he started discarding his own cards. I knew I was dead then...
Favorite expansion? Unhinged, ha ha. I can't help it, I love those silver-bordered cards...

hahahaha omg!!! that is absolutely terrible!! but no, he doesnt seem like he would be evil at all. if he didnt sounds like he was sooooo goood, i would think he was using that all just to get sympathy lol. now i think he's just a terrible man lol. if i lost to him, i think all i could do it bow to him, then cry and ask him to teach me lol!!

On the plus side, he always was the greatest teacher. He didn't mind giving away common or uncommon cards by the boat-load, which is about what he bought them by, if someone else could use them. He just had the meanest combos ever, and wielded them with this funny little dramatic manner so you couldn't quite hate him, even when you wanted to cry.
He also liked picking on the female players. I was always too boyish, and he called my sister a 'skinny old lady' a lot. He was a riot!

haha thats so awesome!!! i love players like that. my friends did that for me quite abit. im grateful for them. it makes me sad that i havent played in so long. i need to construct a deck really bad lol

I know what you mean. I moved a year ago, and I've been almost totally cut off from playing ever since. I want to make a new burn deck so badly right now!

hehe i hear ya. worst part is i live like an hour away from the only city i know where the comic book store is and has tournies. its terrible, i wanna go to one so bad!!!

I got them because I liked the art, not to play them.
But I gave them away.
This was back in highschool.

hahaha the unhinged set is the best set ever. I'm sorry, they just make every game more fun and interesting.

The main point of it is using the gelectrode quipped with curiosity or quicksilver dagger, then tapping for damage, curiosity makes you draw a card, play an instant, gelectrode untaps, repeat as much as possible. Winning goal is really drawing Niv-Mizzet and equipping him with curiosity, then he damages, draws card tocurioisty, draws card due to ability, draws card due to damage, etc. until your opponent loses.

lol I think that would be where I played Platinum Angel as soon as possible and hoped i found something to help me

actually, we're kinda in the same boat. Ive been collecting for awhile but ive never gotten around to building a deck. but i really want a sliver deck lol

Remember what I said about my sister's evil white deck? That's one of the cards she wants for it. She already has Pristine, Blinding, and Iridescent. She does not need Platinum!!!

hahah seriously, the cheese stands alone is from either Unhinged or Unglued. When this card is the only card in play and there are no other cards in the game, you automatically win. its a high risk card, but if u play it right, instant win.

It has to be Unglued, I'd have heard of it from Unhinged. Where can I get one and what's the mana cost?

Yeah, if it's the cracked egg it's Unglued. Unhinged has the horseshoe.

I don't have anyone to play with in the city I live in so I either drive to Sacramento or the neighboring town to play in tournies or just for fun. And that deck has not been legal in a looong looong time.

hahaha 1 day when i have nothing to do(and i mean NOTHING to do) i just need to sit down and write down every card i have so i can get deck lists and finally make my self a deck lol
