I am 21 and 5 feet 8 centimeters, i am also built like a linebacker and apparently I am very intimidating when I am upset; my solution for the cabinet/shelf issue was solved at an early age; to put it simply climbing rocks and since I can climb just about anything shelves and cabinets are no longer a pain..
The upsides to being short(and if you are like me stuck at the biological age of 16, no joke) is that you can do alot of things taller ppl can't and you can maneuver easier through hallways and streets. Another cool thing about being short is the fact that shoert ppl are a rarity and so we apparently are very attractive to taller ppl(I found this out recently when i realized alot of the boys at my college were checking out my butt while I walked to my next class); the final good thing about being short is we look younger than taller ppl at any age.
The bad things are many but the obvious one is finding clothes that fit(I personally wear them till they die because I dread my next clothes shopping trip), the other obvious one is just being shorter than the norm because it hurts your confidence; finally let's face it short ppl get teased and it hurts..

I'm not short, on the other hand I'm really tall. I'm 27 and I'm 5'11''. I've always been taller than everyone else, even before the oh so fun growth spurt, which made me really shy in school. Everyone used to joke that I had monkey arms, because my arms are too long for 95% of long sleeved shirts. I also have to wear a size 12 shoe, and I found out my feet are still growing!! :(

I'm 18 and 4'11". Ironically my boyfriend's 6'. I also have a cousin who's 23, a kindergarten teacher and 4'9". In my book you are all tall people. Also I have people look right over me all the time. My boyfriend even used to do it before we started dating.

I'm 15 and 5'6". I'm taller than most girls, but not many guys. My shortest guy friends are about my height, and my tallest female friends are only an inch or 2 taller than me. I'd like to grow a little more but every says I won't...but they said that when I was 5'3" and 12 years old sooo....

I am 5 10 in a city where the average person appears to be 5 4. I work in a grocery store and often, everyday it seems, get asked to reach something by some short little old lady. I am starting to wonder how all the little old men get their stuff, I mean many of them also do not hit the 5 8 mark. I wonder if they climb, or just do with out the frozen dinner on the back of the top rack in the freezer.

I've been 5'3 for awhile now.Though I'm only 16, I haven't grown at all.

I'm eighteen and 5'7", but I wear heels everywhere, so I could anywhere from 5'8" to 5'10".

I'm 21 and 5'6"...I'm one of the taller people in my family. My uncle is like 6'3" or something though.

I'm 5'2"and it sucks because all my friends are like giants! It's very tempting to ask 'how's the weather up there?' Yeah, they're all about 5'8" but, my best friends are only two inches taller than me so it doesn't make me feel that bad.

I'm 5'2" too!! lol my mom's is like and eighth of an inch taller than me and she wont let me forget it, so i wear her heels sometimes XD i'm not that much shorter than my friends though...but they're all taller than me except for my best friend who's a year younger XP

I'm only 5'4" at 21 and I hate standing next to my 6' hubby, but in a odd fantasy way I do.

Many a times did I have someone help grab me something from the top shelf at the grocery store when the hubby didn't come with.

I had to do that sometimes when I was living at uni. It's so hard to find a tall person in Asda at 3am. :cry:

I'm 6'3" and have always been my family's "shelf guy". =p Typically all the women in my family are in the low to mid 5's range and LOVED to cook/bake (and for some reason liked having all of their ingredients/supplies on the top shelf lol) so I get called on plenty to 'come reach'. ^_^

I'm about... 5'6 (I guess lol) and I like my height pretty well. Some days I feel a bit short, and other days I'd like to be shorter so I could wear big heels without looking freakishly tall. xD

My entire family consists of jolly green giants. I'm 6', female, and the shortest in my family. I love my height, though. It's extremely eye catching. *___*

I've always wondered what it'd be like to be extremely short, though. Short and have a giant lover. I love those types of couples where the girl is this little shrimp, barely reaching his chest, if that. It's adorable.

I'm 5'5-5'6"...

Whenever me and my sister walk together everyone always thinks I'm older because I'm thinnner and taller... it's weird... xD

Pleh.....those people obviously need to stop smokin the crack =p You're definitely a rarity and that's a good thing despite what those other yahoos think. ^_^ I think I can count on two hands the amount of women I have ever met that were 6'+ hehehe.

I'm 5'7''....I used to be insecure about my height when I was younger (I was usually the tallest girl in my class)...now I wish I grew a couple more inches ;w;

But I think short people are totally adorable!!! xD
