I am in college and to be honest I can't see any real difference except that the ppl in college are slightly smarter than those in high school, other than that the two are pretty much the same....
As in most ppl still hate me and laugh at me behind my back...

I went to four High Schools, all had good friends, all had bad influences. I am currently at a Community College, and right now things are simpler because i don't have to see the same people every single day, and we aren't all studying to do the same things. I find it best when we all get together but aren't reliant on each other for our works to get done, so for me, college is best.
I think College also provides more of the independence that High School neglects, i.e. you don't do many group projects, you carry your own weight, you have deadlines and fail if they aren't met, and the people around you come from all different areas and cultures, even different ages. I think that makes it best for me because I am around different people for everything, and get to see lots of views on life.

I'm in my first year of college and find it a whole lot better than high school. I didn't hate high school, but I couldn't stand quite a bit of the people because of their attitudes. At the college I go to, it's a lot easier to talk to the people because we all have some similar interests and I haven't really found anyone like the people I couldn't stand in high school.
That and it's always great taking classes you actually want to take, or at least the majority of the classes being something that you like, where in high school you have to take all these classes you can't see the use of for yourself.
I'd love to get the homework load of high school again though. Hah. College is pretty terrible for that. I've already overworked myself to the point where I can't attend class for a while. Ugh. Also my college is super strict about absences and can fail you if you miss two classes without a doctor's note. That kind of bothers me.

College has its good points. Classes are canceled more often. You can skip without the school hunting you down. You get to pick your classes (more so than highschool). But then again, you pay for this (or scholarships do0. No free transportation to and around the place (here at least). And books are friggin expensive.
High school had its good points too. Easier to coordinate schedules so you had time with your friends. The classes weren't as hard (or diverse). Free transportation and books. Lunch was cheaper. But there was less free time.
I like college because I can procrastinate more XD

I'm currently taking a year out, but I used to be studying at Art College. I'm not sure what High School is like in the US, but the one I went to in Scotland was incredibly frustrating. I went through years of verbal abuse from other students which made my life miserable. The teachers wouldn't and couldn't do anything about it, because the students had so little respect for them. It was only in my last year of high school that I began to feel socially comfortable. College on the other hand, was a wonderful social experience. Everyone was friendly, I felt like I could easily talk to other people on my course. Of course the work was extremely demanding and mentally draining, but I could still go in every day with a smile on my face knowing that I wasn't being judged by the people around me. The only reason I'm not continuing my course this year is due to personal circumstances, and I genuinely can't wait to go back next year. :)

College was definitely way more fun than high school. There were tons more subjects to choose from, I could focus on learning about things I was actually interested in and stay away from everything I wasn't (well...once my gen ed requirements were done--then I could stop taking math and science classes entirely 8D), and it was nice having the freedom to decide if I wanted to miss class without anybody demanding doctor notes. Having different classes each day, and not having school from 8 to 3 every single day were also pretty super.
In sum, college was great. Now law school on the other hand...

Oh god, a topic I can go on and on about! I'll try and keep it short though-- COLLEGE!! I had tons of great friends in high school and I earned lots of awards for a lot of things which was nice, but there's so many things wrong with high school after a certain point that it's just not worth it. By the time you're a senior in high school, you start feeling like a baby because you're abiding to the same rules that freshman do. The bell schedule, the hours, the same routine everyday... It gets old. Even your friends start to get old after a while..
College, I can do whatever schedule I want and have the freedom I want. I can smoke on campus, my teachers curse and have a sense of humor, there's creativity all around.. it's just beautiful! The material is challenging as well, which for a nerd like me is perfect! I have a silly group of friends and life is just generally all I've wanted it to be! :)

I'm in college; and I do like it more then High School.
I like feeling the equal respect and being treated as an adult in the college setting; even though there are still some who try to ruin this. I like the speed, the pace, and the type of work you get to do in College. I passed High School with C's... I have a 3.6gpa on my second year in College; and I haven't pushed myself anymore then I did in High School. I love it. And the wide array of people you get to meet is a big plus side as well, the only thing I miss from High School are my old ceramic room and the clubs (I liked them more then the college ones.)

In high school it was easier to see your friends
In college, they're either going to a different college or your schedules don't match
that's the only thing I don't like
Classes are short, you take them when it's convenient (if you register right), and barely any homework....love it. As for the self-study.....I am impartial
