I have never in my entire life been good with prolonged eye contact(my maximum time was 3 minutes) and it has affected my life since I moved up north in many negative ways, first of all ppl think I am wierd since i can't mantain eye contact and so most ppl avoid me. Second I can't get a job that easily because apparently eye contact affects your chances of getting a job, third I have very few friends in the area where I live and the ones I do have live in other states or countries; and finally I scare ppl because I can't keep eye contact to save mt life..
If anyone has any advice for me plz post here this eye contact thing is ruining my life and I need any solution to the problem possible(that doesn't involve surgery) and also I would like to say it is a condition I can't fix by retraining myself so plz any advice at all would be great..
Oh and click on my dragon eggs plz..

A lot of people have issues of keeping eye contact with another person for some long. I mean, I have that issue, I can't really gaze into someone's eyes without turning red.

I would say, look them in the eye as long as you can, and when you feel really nervous, just adjust your eyes on something behind them or just their face. So that way it looks like you're just looking at your surrounding but are still keeping contact with them.

I don't know how you're "scaring" off people, but just because you stop looking at them shouldn't make them weirded out or not wanting to hiring you, unless you are purposely turning your head away.

Ugh, I HATE having eye contact unless it's a staring contest for fun.
I hate it as much as talking on the phone.

I'm weird, if you don't have texting or an email address - I won't ever contact you or talk to you. My phone calls last 10-15 minutes, I can't stand talking on the phone that much....I'm like, "gah--- shut up and let me go back to watching TV!".
