So I don't know about YOU guys, but I myself am going to be undertaking the glorious challenge that is:

National Novel Writing Month

Also known as NaNoWriMo. It starts on the first of November (tomorrow) and ends on the thirty-first of November (not tomorrow).

I've got my plot figured out: an epic fantasy quest for items to prevent the ruin of a country. Hey, I am NOT cliche. Really. Honestly. Truly. Cross my heart and hope to die. =D

So share your goals for NaNoWriMo, what you're planning on doing when "real life" calls you away from increasing your word count, what you intend to do to motivate yourselves, et cetera!

You may also post even if you are NOT doing NaNoWriMo (shame on you! No, I kid. Maybe) to chat with and encourage those that ARE doing NaNoWriMo.

So what are you waiting for? Post! Remember, if nothing else it gets you sundry bone fragments. ;D Just... don't spam, okay? That is totally not cool.

I don't think I'll be able to write much this year, but I have agreed to be a cheerleader and story reader for people in the thread that's in the book forum. I love reading stories, and I might attempt to do artwork for them if I'm intrigued enough.

I really don't know what to write for NaNoWriMo. Since I have a whole month's worth of time, I might as well use some of that time to brainstorm ideas. I had one...but it sounds a little cliche'. I hate stories that are pretty much an overused cliche'.

But, I know this story is going to involve a human girl, a Fae, and a war to end all wars. But, that's about all I can come up with in the spur of the moment. It's like, 10 over here and I'm very tired. Halloween wore me out. @_@;;;;

As in word or time count? Ummm... I was doing other things earlier, so I just set it at ten minute intervals and churned out some writing that way. It works well for me. =D I might up the time limit, or enter a word count instead later on.

Ah. :) I went for 500 words in 15 minutes - managed to actually reach 564. Not bad. :)

Ooooh, awesome. I usually manage an average of around 350 +\- words in 12 or 11 minutes. I set it for 10 minutes, but whatever. =P Hmm... I might try upping the time to 15 minutes. That might work better for me.

Hm, not bad either. My personal record (done with just an alarm clock, pen and paper - no fancy pc, let alone programs) was somewhere around 1.1k of words in slightly over 20 minutes.
That has been quite a while ago, though, and my arm HURT after it.

And so did my brain, after counting those words. By hand.
