I spent a year and a half writing a fantasy novel and it has just recently been published. Title: The Secret of Moon Legend, Rise of the Moon God. Available now at Publishamerica.com, just search by title. It can also be found at WaldenBooks and Borders.com. I hope everyone enjoys!

Thanks guys! and it feels surreal tbh. I never imagine that a story that just came to me nearly two years ago would actually be available to the public. Also there will be a book two to continue book one.

That's amazing! It's totally inspirering too! I had a story that I had been struggling with for years but on the back burner. So maybe I should start working on it again. May I ask what publisher(s) you went to with your manuscript?

The first thing I had tried was self-publishing or vanity publishers, those are great if you have the money to invest. Then I started seeking big time publishers like Scholastic, however, with the bigger companies you must first have a 'marketed' manuscript. Which means, several companies must know about it and there must be an agent they can contact. That's another really important point. If you can try to get an agent. They already know the business and what should be done and how to pitch your manuscript to publishers. BUT..... if you don't have the money for self-publishing and/or an agent and if you seem to have no success pedalling your completed manuscript yourself, you can seek out smaller publishers that accept you under contract without any upfront fees and just take a cut of the profits. In that case look for one that has a growing percentage scale that way as time goes on you'll get more of a percentage of the books profits. This route is perfect if you have a book with several parts to it (mulitple books) because once you get it published then it becomes a marketed manuscript which means publishing companies will start trying to contact you to publish with them. ( hehe, getting it done the ninja way, is what I call it :p) Best of luck in your endeavor, nette.

Congratulations!
I'm working on my own book now to. I just started it a couple months ago, and i'm mostly still in the planning process.
I had another one I had planned to do... but after working on it off and on for four years i decided the idea was to influenced by my favorite books at the time.

Most likely, i'd say either young adult or fantasy or adventure/fantasy......... however for now since its so new you'll have to request it at either borders, barnes and nobles or walden books. So that should make it a little easier to find it. I've already gotten some live props for it by one of my friends bosses. He told me that he's half way through it and can't put it down and that it would make a great movie. That just made me feel like a million bucks. Because even though I really cared for each character and I fell in love with the story as I wrote it; one still can't help but feel worried about whether or not someone else will really like it.
I truly hope that all of you that chose to check it out enjoy it and so far the plan is a sequel and then a prequel (for now) publishers can be fickle on these matters. Oh and somewhere in there my vampire novel will be released but I don't know when they're releasing that one yet. I'll keep you guys posted.
And thanks again for all the support.<3
Oh and wattup sleeping we were just chatting in the event forum, heh.
I guess it would make a little sense on my part to give you the synopsis I wrote for the book wouldn't it? ;p
"A land far different from our own.....A land of myth and legend.....A land of fantastic creatures of our deepest desires and fears hanging in constant limbo between good and evil, and a legend that foretells of a God that will rescue them from the brink of their destruction. This is Trutidia. This is the Secret of Moon Legend. Follow a guild of guardians through trying twists and turns to save, protect and train the future King and Savior of Trutidia........Ocenei." by (me) C.L.Konrad
hehe have you figured out where i get my screen name from now ;p
