Then I will have Fayn come and seek Selk, and then we can start handing out "rewards" to all those that helped with the raid. His sensitive hearing had picked up on her muttered comments, but the weapon master merely inclined his head, ignoring them. When the vampire spoke of inflicting pain, the male prodded at her shoulder. "Then I will learn from you as you learn from me," Fayn hissed, letting the woman up. The dark elf stayed silent for a moment, and then reached forward to grasp her hand once again. Lifting it, he slid a blade into her hand. "How good are you with blades?"
His "gaze" was on Holly, listening for movement and her reply. Another dagger appeared in his own hand, and he took his place a few feet from the woman. "Show me what you know. I will force you to learn differently."

First of all Holly had no clue how to hold the blade. She looked at it confused and held it by the handle knowing she wasn't suppose to touch sharp edges that could cut her. "Ummm...I don't know anything about blades except not to touch the sharp parts. Oh, and that you killed Alex with one." Taking a deep breath she scolded herself 'Stop thinking about him! He's not what's happening right now! Pay attention.' "It's not going to take much force to make me learn differently. I won't know any other way besides how you are going to teach me." 'force you' That wasn't really something holly wanted to hear. It didn't sound like it would be fun if someone had to force it upon you.

Fayn: *smiles slightly and nods in approval* Good girl.))

Raising an eyebrow, the dark elf reached for Holly's hand once again. Forming her fingers about the blade, he sighed. "Then this won't be as difficult as I thought it would be." The drow showed her his own hand, spinning the dagger so the blade was held backward, resting along his forearm. "Let it become an extension of your body," Fayn instructed, using his free hand to continue messing with Holly's.
He then led her into a strike of sorts, a horizontal slash that would have easily gutted someone standing before her. "This will become one of your best friends," Fayn said quietly, speaking near the vampire's ear. "And I will help you learn its ways quickly." Slowly, if necessary. Slipping his fingers about her wrist, he directed the blade in a jab that would have driven the dagger into someone's heart.
He didn't release the vampire's wrist, but smiled slightly and stepped closer. "Will you be returning tomorrow?" The dark elf tilted his head a bit, listening. "Later, perhaps?" He then moved to disarm Holly, snagging both of their blades. "I haven't chased you off already, have I?"

"A dagger as my best friend? Well I won't have to worry about it talking behind my back at least." Holly smiled and followed the movements in her mind. "I'll be back. I don't have anywhere else to go. I'm accually thinking about asking Selk if there is someplace I could stay here. Besides the room I was in before." Another smile came across her face. "No Fayn, you haven't chased me off. You're going to be stuck with me for a while. I hope you don't mind." In a Holly sort of way she reached out and hugged him. "Thank you. For everything." She whispered before pulling back. Who knew she would be saying thank you to this man, who only a little while ago had killed her love. Now she was starting to wonder. Maybe she didn't love Alex the way she thought she did.

Fayn stiffened when Holly embraced him, obviously uncomfortable. Affection was not so easily shown amongst the drow, and this moment certainly didn't put him at ease. The dark elf nodded at her words, and then smiled slightly. At least she has a strong heart. No fear.
The weapon master bowed his head slightly, sheathing the weapons in his belt. "Then I will be seeing you tomorrow." He didn't give her a specific time, for there was no need. He was usually around the training room anyway, and she was bound to wander in eventually. Placing a hand on her shoulder, the drow smiled grimly. "If you don't show up, I'll hunt you down myself."

"Okay. I'll be by tomorrow. Probally early. I don't know what else to do, it's not like I sleep." Holly said quietly looking at the blind man. It was slightly odd to her that he didn't seem to know what to do when she hugged him. 'Oh, well.' After a moment Holly backed away from him and to the door of the training room. "I should go talk to Selk." She stated 'What am I doing? Why don't I hate him'

Despite any popular belief, Selk kept her distance from Vik. Nothing happened . . . despite how close it came. They sat and talked quietly for a long while, no barrier between them as they did so. The matron ended up in Vik's lap (via her prompting), and had an arm looped about his shoulders as she asked questions about his life.
"How does one become a half vampire?" the dark elf asked, leaning her head against his as her free hand traced over his face. "Has it always been so?"

Turning Holly walked down the halls attempting to find Selk. Eventually she stumbled into the room where Vik and Selk sat. "Oh, I didn't mean to interupt. Uhhh..Selk I was wondering if you had someplace I could stay that's not the slave or servent room thingy. Well first of all is it okay that I stay? Fayn is teaching me how to fight."

Looking toward the door as Holly stumbled in, the matron laughed. "Yes," she said, pointing to the table beside the door. "There are a few keys there. I planned on handing them out later, if anyone chose to stay." Chuckling, the dark elf grinned. "The first one there is yours. The room is in the next hall over." She smiled. "Let me know if anything needs to be changed." Fayn? Teaching Holly? Now this is something I want to keep my eye on. . . .

Vik sat there talking with Selk quietly as they discussed each other's life which was outside the norm for him being that his past was something he usually didn't do. Fortunately for him the question she asked was something he was willing to answer, "I was simply born one. My mother was a human and my father a vampire and yes it has always been that way." He was about to say more before Holly entered the room, so he sat back patiently listening as the two ladies spoke. It was an interesting piece of information to know that Holly was learning to fight... it was about time.

(Marsyas you're so mean to Holly! :P)

"Thank you Selk. You don't mind that I'm staying, do you? I don't want to seem rude or anything. I like it down here though. It's new and different. I'm not afraid of this place anymore." Holly smiled back at the new matron. Was she suppose to refer to her as the matron now or since she technically wasn't drow could she still call selk, selk? She picked up the first key and held it in her hand. "What happened with Alex's body? Someone's going to take it somewhere right? I just don't want it to sit there." Holly wasn't upset and her voice stayed completely calm when she spoke about Alex. Nothing would have given away the fact she had loved him.

(LOL I really am... maybe I'll change... or not haha :twisted:)

Selk tilted her head, and then smiled a bit. "Alex was taken care of. Since he isn't of our world, I had someone take him to the surface to bury him." Drow didn't bury their dead . . . they fed them to their half-monstrous pets, the Driders. The half spider, half drow creatures were ferocious, and needed some sort of prey. Why not those who had fallen? The matron had prompted her people to at least give any surface dweller that had fought for her a proper burial, thus Alex was just outside of the caverns. "If you wish to see him again," she paused to reword what she said. "If you wish to give tribute to his grave, then you may speak with me later."
The dark elf stretched, grimacing due to the long gash along her torso. Moving to touch the remaining keys on the table, Selk smiled. "I'll have these sent to the others for now." As though reading her mind, a drow stepped into the room with his gaze downcast. The matron passed the metal objects to the male, and he swiftly disappeared, leaving Holly, Vik, and Selk alone once again.
"Let me know if your room is missing something you need, Holly." Selk's purple eyes lit up with a playful spark, knowing that the vampire would find nearly everything she needed in her quarters. Blood . . . well, that could be arranged. "And please . . . don't go feeding on my household if you can help it."
Stepping back over to Vik, the slender woman sat in his lap, yawning quietly.

"Thank you." Holly said smiling at Selk. "And I'll try not to go feeding. I'm pretty sure I can manage to wait till the next meal time." Stepping back tword the door she turned to leave but then looked back. "When exactly is the next meal going to be?" She paused waiting for Selk to answer. "And will there be clothes?" Thinking more she came up with alot more questions. "Shoes? Books? Candy? Movies?" A short pause "Oh, sorry. I'll stop asking questions. And I'll leave you two alone. Hope your cut heals soon Selk."

The small woman laughed, and waved Holly out of the room. "You will find entertainment and comfort in your room, deary." Her black lips lifted in a smile. "And we'll be eating within the next few hours." Meeting Holly's gaze with a chuckle, she wrapped her arms about Vik. "We'll see you then."

"Okay. See you later then." Holly said practically skipping out of the room. Happy? Or overly happy? Considering she was living down here and this place pretty much screamed death, and dispair when she got here it was rather uplifting to know that there were always friends nearby. Well at least Selk was her friend. She wasn't sure about Vik. He confused her a bit, and kind of scared her. Walking through the hallways she was grinning and twirling the key in her fingures as if it were a penny. Only to drop it on the stone floor about fifty times.
