After watching Holly leave the half breed turned his attention back to the black elf clinging to his neck and he grinned slightly. It was true that he was staying here to be with her but Vik was now curious what his future here in the underdark now held for him. With that thought in mind he kissed the woman once more then asked, "So, what do you plan to do with me now that I have given you my word and bond that I will stay with you?" She now had one follower that she knew would be trustworthy or whatever word that was in her language to watch out for her, so how did she plan to use him?

"Do with you?" Selk blinked in mock surprise, and then touched his forehead with a single finger. "I'm going to use you for my own purposes, of course." The dark elf laughed. "Mainly looking after me until I feel better. And keeping me safe." After all, a matron was destined for trouble. It was always smart to keep a . . . bodyguard of sorts. There would be assassins, mercenaries, entire houses . . . things would get chaotic real fast, and real hard. It was intelligent for Selk to have someone like Vik with her at all times.
Stroking the half-breed's hair, Selk leaned her head against his chest, sighing. "Just by having you here, I can breathe easier." Nuzzling the male's neck, she chuckled. "Don't worry, dear Khal'Abbil." Trusted friend. "Life in the Underdark is never boring." This was as boring as it got, right here.

The sound of Holly dropping her key alerted Fayn to her presence before she turned the corner . . . and he couldn't help but frown when he heard her steps approaching. Selk gave her the room next to my own. What a coincidence.
The weapon master unlocked his own room, "glancing" to Holly with a grim smile. "Seems I won't be getting rid of you any time soon," he said just loud enough for her to hear. Or getting a break, either.

Vik stroked the woman's hair as she laid against his chest, for once he wasn't upset at the fact that someone would be using him for their own purposes. Well it wasn't like this was something bad since he would basically play the roll of the nurse and bodyguard for a while even if the first was a bit out of line with his norms. "Hooray for me... I get to play nurse and bodyguard," he commented in a teasing and sarcastic tone. As long as he was with her, his life here would be fine since he wanted nothing else... Until he thought about it and he pressed Selk's head from his chest gently so that the side her neck was exposed. Then he leaned in and allowed his tongue to run from the base of her neck all the way up to the bottom of her earlobe. He could practically taste her blood but still he had to refrain from biting her, as hard as it was sometimes, because of the potential dangers. Vik allowed the woman's head to be buried in his chest once more as a slight grin graced his lips.

At first she was confused as to when he was doing, but her exposed throat told all. Selk shuddered when Vik's tongue ran along her neck, and the dark elf sucked in a slow breath. "I've never had the privilege of having a guardian before," she whispered, slowly resting her head on the half-breed's chest once again. His sense of power intrigued her, and the matron couldn't help but relax even more. It seemed like a natural reaction that she couldn't help, and it certainly wasn't a drow-like one.
Reaching up to finger a few locks of Vik's hair, Selk sighed, taking in his scent. "At least you're threatening enough," she chuckled, poking his chest with one black finger. The woman rolled her lavender eyes, and then focused on the door. "I don't foresee any assassins wanting to bypass something like you." Selk grinned. "You showed great skill during the battle. Your finesse is . . . envied." By more than one person, to be sure. I certainly envy it.

"Oh, Hi." Holly said turning the corner. "I guess you won't be. I'll try not to bother you while we're not training." Turning she unlocked the door to her room. "I was just going to watch a movie..or read a good book...or maybe I'll start a jornal." Holly relized she was talking to herself. "Sorry, I know you don't care."

"Of course not," Fayn said in a mock nonchalant tone. Shaking his head, he stepped into his room without another word, closing the door behind him without saying any sort of greeting or farewell to Holly.

Vik laughed at the woman's remark. He had shown great skill huh? "I did nothing in the battle except manage to kill an overgrown kitten. You are the one who showed the most skill." To him he was not exaggerating, she had after succeeded where he had failed and that was to kill the matron, and he had a free chance that he had blown. But now was not the time to sulk over failures that ended in victory so he simply flashed his fangs once more as a thought occurred to him, "I don't ever think I've been a bodyguard before, this should be interesting. But I doubt I struck fear into anyone's heart earlier, I did nothing extraordinary." It just so happened that he was a perfectionist when it came to certain things and the half breed felt that his performance was lacking at best. He still had much improving to do before he was at a level where he was worthy of respect, but as of right now he was not there.

"Well, goodbye to you too. So glad you're so welcoming." Holly mumble walking into her own room and closing the door. Picking a movie she turned the t.v. on and played it somewhat, really, loudly. Without relizing it the sound was loud enough to create that annoying, not quite loud enough to her but to loud to ignore, static for the people around her. Mostly this ment she might be disrupting Fayn, not that she would care..even if she noticed.

"Mmm," Selk hummed, and then chuckled. "You're right." She was merely trying to boost his pride, though apparently it took something different. Flattery usually worked on males, but then again . . . she'd never messed around with surface dwellers before. Slowly sitting up and slipping out of Vik's lap, the dark elf cleared her throat and moved toward the door. "A walk. Are you coming?" Motioning with one finger, the smaller woman grinned over her shoulder.

Silence. Blessed silence. It wasn't often that Fayn could shut off his senses like he did then. Laying back on the bed in the corner, the dark elf took a deep breath. Just as he let it out, Holly's presence in the next room made itself known. Brilliant.
Trying to shut the murmured noise out of his mind, the weapon master lay still for many minutes . . . until he could ignore it no longer. Sitting up, he raked a hand through his white hair, hissing a breath between his teeth. This was going to be a long night. A long . . . however long she stayed.
Getting up and stepping into the hallway, Fayn knocked on Holly's door loudly, hoping she would hear him over her own entertainment.
Lovely girl, this vampire.

The knock startled Holly. She stood up and walked over to the door wondering who it was. "Yes Fayn, what do you want? I'm trying to enjoy my movie without being interupted by someone. It's very rude to make me miss part of my movie. At least if you're not going to be welcoming you could...oh I don't know...stop bugging me. I get it you don't want to be friends no need to rub it in my face." Hiding the fact that it kind of hurt that Fayn didn't even try to be nice to her. Even if he was a drow he could at least make an attempt to be kind when he wasn't training her.

The blind male inclined his head as Holly started talking, and folded his arms over his chest when she finally finished. "Dear Abbil," friend, "I merely wanted to inform you that your form of entertainment is keeping me from sleeping. If you would be so kind, turn it down."

"Oh, I...oh..sorry I didn't mean to have it that loud. I don't notice because everything seems loud to me...I wasn't trying to keep you from your sleep." Holly turned and walked over to turn the volume down. "I'm sorry." That was ment for both the t.v. and saying he wasn't a friend. Now she felt bad.

(Hey Fayn has issues..and can't even see Holly's blonde. as for blonde moments, I'm the only blond out of my friends and sadly I have less blonde moments then any one of them.)

The woman had always captivated his mind and she got his attention quickly with the wave of her finger, though he didn't want to seem as though she commanded him freely and he would jump without hesitation if told to... Although he probably would as long as it meant keeping her safe. And now that the half breed thought about it this was his job... to be her bodyguard so he hopped up after a slight shoulder shrug and a bright smile as he rhetorically said, "Why not?"

((:lol: I know . . . I'm not blonde, and I have the moments WAY more often than my golden-haired friends. :oops: I love blonde's. They're so cool. ^__^
And Fayn's issues . . . they certainly stem from pride and anger. :lol: And being blind. . . .))

Hearing the shift in Holly's voice, Fayn merely shook his head. "I understand," he said, reaching up to touch the blindfold around his eyes. It looked as though he was about to speak again when Selk suddenly appeared, clearing her throat. The dark elf bowed to the matron, or in her general direction anyway, and let his attention shift away from Holly's room. Backing away, the weapon master tilted his head slightly as he listened.

Selk chuckled when Vik followed her, and confidently strode through the hallways until she got to her destination. Sure, her side hurt . . . but the salve she wanted was going to help that.
"Fayn," the slender woman addressed the blind drow with a hint of question in her voice, crossing her arms as she regarded the male for a moment. "I will ignore the fact that you're bothering my guest this time." When Fayn bowed, Selk raised an eyebrow, inclining her head. "The healing salve you use for your trainees," the matron demanded, glaring at the male. "I require some." When Fayn didn't move, she lowered her tone. "Now."

"He wasn't bothering me. We were just talking. I was accually the one bothering him." Holly said really quiet. She wanted to know what he was about to say before selk came. Besides the fact Selk seemed kind of mean at this point in time, she was thinking. Her mind couldn't focus on one thing. "What's a healing salve?" With this question said aloud Holly relized how idiotic she sounded and let out a sigh.

Vik followed along silently until they reached their obvious destination or target... fayn. He listened as the matron demanded a healing salve from the blind man then was somewhat surprised when he didn't move. He noticed the change in tone when she more thoroughly expressed her need for the salve but he attention was turned to holly who was taking up for the weapons master. He looked at her with a emotionless face unconcerned about this entire situation so long as something got accomplished which it would, one way or another. So the half breed sat back watching the events unfold as they did.

"Yes Matron," Fayn said quietly, barely keeping a civil tone. Moving away from them, the dark elf slipped into the consuming shadows down the hallway. He would be back quickly.
Selk turned her violet eyes to Holly, smiling slightly. "A healing salve," she explained, "speeds the process of one's recovery." She regarded the vampire for a moment before chuckling. "And don't worry about Fayn. He needs to be shoved if I want a response out of him." And he's used to it. I never was particularly nice to him.
The matron smoothed the black wraps that were covering her form, not seeming to note that they weren't the most modest things in the caverns. "If you need him to listen to you," Selk said quietly, "then beat it into his head. It's the only way the idiot can learn."
She paused for a moment, and seemed to know when Fayn returned. The weapon master slipped back into the hallway, an emotionless mask on his black face as he held out the small container that Selk had requested. Without thanking him, she snagged it, motioning for Vik to follow . . . gently. It seemed that the surface dwellers were treated far different than her own house; her own kind. The female headed toward the training room, knowing that Fayn wouldn't return there for a few hours - he needed to sleep sometime.
"Will you spar with me?" she asked over her bare shoulder, raising an eyebrow in Vik's direction. "I don't want to go soft now that I have you to protect me."
Entering the training room, she sat in the middle of the cold floor, her hands moving swiftly to apply the salve as best she could - which wasn't perfect, but it would have to do.

Fayn waited until Selk and Vik were far out of hearing range before spitting out a string of drow words. "I will see you in the training room tomorrow," he growled quietly, his movements sharp as he leaned against the wall beside his room. Running a hand through his white hair, the elf took a deep calming breath, letting it out in equal speed. "Don't disappoint me and refuse to show up." Like Selk would.
So much for his warming up to Holly - he was back to being frustrated. Again.

"I'll be there." Holly said softly studying him and trying to figure out what exactly was bothering him. Probally Selk, she wasn't exactly nice to him. That had bothered Holly very much. "Fayn? Are you okay?" She asked still standing in the doorway to her room.

"Why would you care?" he spat, turning toward his room. Then he seemed to falter, and sighed, shaking his head. "I'll be fine." Once again it seemed as though he would go on and elaborate, but the dark elf merely grumbled something in his own language before stepping toward his room. His movements slowed further as he grasped the door's handle. "I am fine."
He slipped into his room, closing the door quietly behind him.

((:XD He wants so bad to be nice! But . . . he's a drow. They aren't nice to anyone if they don't want something first. -_-' It's almost like he's not sure how to be good to her. :lol:))
