As the girl approached him like she did, Cain's first instinct was to step back, pressing himself against the hard door.
He never trusted people, so this may have caught him off guard.
His eyes moved to her, a bit wide and confused.
When she begun to dig for the gem, he tensed further, his brow furrowing and his jaw clenching.
He wanted to push her away, but before he could, she pulled out the gem.

His eyes moved to the gem, the confusion mixing with curiosity and possibly eagerness?
Cain knew very well what the gem could possess and what possibilities could come out of it.
He hadn't the slightest idea that she knew how to show those possibilities. He thought she was merely examining it.
But when she pressed it to his chest, his body tensed once more, his fists clenching against the door as he watched her carefully, taking to note her every move, every breath, anything he could notice.

When he face started to dim, he leaned forwards slightly, examining her.
He was about to say her name, ask her what was wrong. But something kept his voice in.
A small gasp left him when the energy begun to merge into him, his eyes moving to his chest, wider now as he watched in disbelief. There was no way this girl knew these things. How? What was going on? Is she...human? These thoughts buzzed in his head.

While the gem dissipated, he felt as though his eyes dropped, which they did.
His body relaxed against the door, and a small sigh left his lips which opened slightly.
His emotions lifted, it was though someone was sucking every negative feeling out of him.
Though he was still tired, it was much less than the hour or so before when it was difficult for him to walk.

When she pulled away, his eyes fluttered for a moment, his vision blurred.
He blinked a few times before looking over to her. His body language was much more relaxed, he wasn't so harsh and violent looking now.
As he took in a breath, he said; "How did you learn that...?"

Liliana didn't respond for a moment, the trails of energy on her arm seeming to dim and retract until they were gone, the soft glow of her eyes dying down until they became the deep maroon that they were previously and she looked up at Cain, remembering his question then smiling a little,
"Isn't it obvious..? I was taught." she stated, taking a deep breath and raised her right hand to her chest, unlike Cain, who was probably feeling a lot better, she had exhausted most of what energy she had been saving, but she still struggled to keep herself standing,
"My mother.." Liliana began, though realized exactly what she was about to say and stopped, a grim look overcoming her face and she edgily sat down. She couldn't go on about the subject, an internal negativity rising but she had to suppress it.

"I inherited her gifts, she gave me more, and taught me how to use it all." She added, though there was a level of darkness in her voice, or perhaps it was just exhaustion? Cain probably knew better. He may have encountered many embittered people, their hearts torn asunder by the results of demons attacking their world, or of the ruthless angels who cleansed the land, hunted monsters without a thought of the good creatures they may have been once before.

However, the dark secret of their prejudice lay in what a demon infection could do to an unprepared angel. It caused them a constant agony as the dark, chaotic influence of a demon fought for control of their body, until the infection claimed half their body, driving them mad with pain and grief, until they became a berserk, destructive creature that, left alone, would cause massive damage to its environment.

Liliana shifted her arms, hunching a little and leaning forward as she held her arms across her stomach, as though cold, head lowering as a single streak of silver stretched down her right cheek. A tear, marking the internal sadness that she harbored, made itself known, falling from her cheek and landing on her leg and making a darker mark on her left stocking.
She gritted her teeth, once again fighting tears, memories of the past plaguing her thoughts, the stress of the last day spent running and hiding for her life, her momentary discord trying to establish a companionship with Cain, and for the first in a long time, she no longer felt alone.

Cain's brow furrowed further, leaning back on the door, his back not so straight anymore from his tense stance before.
He blinked a few times, slowly, before looking over to her.
"Your mom...huh?" He said, a chuckle leaving his lips. His eyes dimmed and fogged at the word mom, but within a second, they were back to normal.
He stood silent against the door, his eyes locked on her. He looked in thoughts again while he watched her.
So many emotions were wiping across his features, but mostly his eyes. Sadness, Confusion, Anger, Excitement, and possibly Desperation.

Suddenly, he pushed away from the door, quickly turning to face the door on the heel of his foot.
He turned his head slightly, letting her see part of his face before he spoke.
"I'm going to get the food, stay here, and don't let anyone in, understand?"
He told her harshly, like an older brother talking to their toddler of a sibling.
But Liliana was much older and smarter than a toddler.
Cain shot her one last glance, but held it. He looked into her eyes once more, focusing on hers for some time.
He then looked away, turning his head quickly and swinging open the heavy door, which creaked loudly and hit the wall.

With two swift steps, he was out of the room, the door slamming shut after him, the sound echoing in the quiet and now almost empty room.
Liliana could hear the sounds of his footsteps fading away down the hall into the noises and chatter of the main room

Liliana looked up at Cain a while, though raised a sleeve to dry her eyes. She didn't relish the memory or mother, or her own past, she could see his eyes change at the mention. A deep part of her wanted to reach out and hold onto Cain. Even at this distance she felt unsafe without him nearby.

When he announced he was going to get food, she was about to say she wanted to go with him but his harsh instruction for her to stay put made her stay herself and she nodded, watching as the door slammed, her body flinching under the sound and the feeling of the vibration reaching through the room.

Her thoughts went back to when he stared at her for a while and she kept that imagine in her mind as she crawled onto the bed behind her, untying her boots and dropping them on her closest side. She began fiddling with her clothes, eventually pulling off the scarf and folding it neatly, setting it on the bedside table closest to her, the left side.
After a little more effort she'd removed her gloves and the overlaying peach jacket which left her int he purple and cream dress as well as her stockings while she finally untied and pulled off the hairband she wore, allowing her plum-colored hair to flow much more freely.

Again she went about neatly arranging and folding the articles of clothing she had removed and piling them by size on top of her scarf. She shifted herself so that she was sat on bended knees, hands crossed in her lap and head raised as she stared at the doorway, though her eyes began to slide closed a little, but she shook her head, trying to focus, even as tiredness gripped her. She had to wait for Cain. Tiredness was creeping in but she wouldn't let it stop her seeing him one more time before she slept.

The room was quiet, the light from the sun outside the window fading and casting deep and long shadows over the floor and ceiling.
Liliana could hear people laughing and shouting downstairs. With the night creeping up on everyone, the drinks would come out.
Slowly, time passed, the light growing dimmer in the room.
Liliana could soon hear footsteps coming down the hall, soft at first, then louder as the sounds reached their door.
A soft sound could be heard from the lock of the door from outside. The soft scratching of a key being inserted into the hole.
With a small click, the door was pushed open.

Cain made his way into the room, a large tray of food was held with one arm, which he moved through the door first.
He was being careful not to drop it or trip over his own feet, which he couldn't keep track of due to the large tray before him.
Cain looked up from the tray, closing the door with his foot with a small slam. The floor vibrated once more from the heavy door.
The room was quiet, except the sound of his boots hitting the floor with every step he took as he made his way over to the table, which stood by the bed.
With one swift movement, he set the tray on the table.

Fresh cooked foods lay in plates set around the tray. From meats, to veggies, bread, and some soup.
Two drinks also stood on the tray, a long with utensils and napkins. Cain pulled his hands away from the tray, and sat down in a chair, lifting his head to look up at Liliana. He still looked tired, the circles under his eyes still plastered in place.
He glanced at the food, then leaned back and motioned to it.
"Dig in, while it's still hot. I'll get something else if you don't like it." He said simply, shrugging his shoulders and turning to move his gaze to the window.
His yellow eyes seemed almost orange in the fading sunlight.
The shadows in the room were beginning to grow darker, making the idea to turn of the lamps in the room seem like a pretty good idea.

Liliana could hear the noises from below but was able to ignore them, perhaps because tiredness was setting in as here eyes dropped closed again, she didn't realized how much time passed as her eyes shot open wide at the strange sounds emanating from the door. Her eyes grew wide as several holes appeared in the door, loud gunshots ringing out as several solid slugs shot across the room in her direction.

The bullets slammed into her body with a loud bang. Now that was odd.. Liliana, whom had indeed fallen asleep for a moment, sat up suddenly once again, staring at the doorway, where her companion Cain was stood with a plate, her head shifting as she looked about nervously, looking for the gunman that was never actually there. When she realized it had just been a dream she put a hand on her chest, sighing briefly.

Though the next thing that caught her attention was the smell of food, eyes going to the tray. At his moment in time her body would not argue about any food she could receive, but she graciously waited for him to set it down sitting up a little more comfortably. However she didn't feel much like being too complicated with utensils and other such nonsense so grabbed a bowl of soup and some bread and got stuck in with that, dipping the bread in and consuming it rather ravenously.
She didn't even care that the soup as hot, gladly putting the rim of the bowl to her lips and gulping down the flavored, food-strewn fluid, which each hungry swallow she could feel warmth spreading throughout her, with her exhaustion and her hunger she had been dragged down, her powers muffled and weakened, only emergency reserves left.

She made sure her lips clean after that, seeming pretty satisfied with that alone, though looked over to Cain, a little worried for some reason as she looked down to the empty bowl but then looked over at him again,
"Will you eat too..?" She asked, concern coming across in her voice, "There's enough for us both..."

The other soup bowl stood closer to him, steam slowly rising up from the hot liquid and coloring re air with it's smell.
Cain was leaned forwards a bit, his fingers laced, elbows on his knees while he rested his hands in front of his mouth.
His eyes moved to her, watching her eat. 'Damn...talk about starvation...' He thought to himself, an eyebrow raised slightly while watching this sight. When Liliana set the bowl down and looked over at him, he straightened, leaning back against the back of the chair.
When she mentioned his own hunger, he shrugged, letting out a small sigh.

"I'll eat in a little bit, eat your fill first, you need your strength." He said simply, gently pushing the tray of food closer to her. Offering her as much more as she could take and wanted. He had looked away after saying this, his eyes dull, holding no emotion.
But deep inside his gaze, something was there. With one last glance at her, he stood, tilting his neck from side to side and letting out a small yawn.
This revealed to Liliana the fangs that were in his mouth. Two fangs, not too large, but bigger than the average canine teeth.
He lifted a hand, slowly pulling off the large brown scarf around his neck and tossing it to the side, revealing much more of his upper body.
He was very fit, and well toned. After that, he pulled off his gloves, revealing much more of his arms as well.

After also tossing these on top of his other clothing, he turned to her once more, his eyes scanning her for a brief moment before meeting her own with a simple gaze. "Take your time, I'm using the shower..." He said simply, a hand lifting to rub the back of his neck as he turned away from her, walking to the open door of the dark bathroom.

The girl looked at him a little nervously, then the food as he pushed it toward her, enticing her appetite further, but her concern for him overrode her desire for food. She watched as he yawned, her eyes focusing on those fangs, she'd seen many demons with the same thing, she'd be unsurprised if most demons had them.. Even that woman had them..

She continued to observe as he pulled the large muffler from his shoulders, her eyes following it then staring at the gloves as removed them also, then examining his physical form, he wasn't too overly built but he still looked lithe and strong. She had to resist a strange, sudden urge to go over to him and wrap her arms around him.

His mention of going to take a shower made her raise her brows a little, though looked aside and she nodded, trying to hide the blush on her face, though in the dark this was easy enough, not exactly the best time to be having such thoughts. She turned from him and pulled another plat from the tray, though this time grabbed a fork so she could ladle the meal in quite happily.

Though now knowing that there was a shower, she began to consider the possibility of taking a shower herself once he was done, it would be the cleanest she'd felt in a while and after all the commotion of the past twenty four hours it would be quite the release, in the meantime she calculated about half the food and began to eat her fill, leaving a fair share for him also.

When she was about finished she popped the last piece of her share of food in her mouth and looked about at the lamps in the room. With a small smile she closed her eyes, reaching out to her surroundings, particularly to the lamps, with her mind. A spark of energy spread across the room and the lamps came to life, Liliana opening her eyes and staring at the ones she lit, there weren't too many, enough to light the room, but not so much that it would be considered too bright.

Cain had walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind him and leaning on it for a moment. He turned his head slightly, looking at himself in the mirror.
He grimaced slightly, moving closer. He moved his face closer to the mirror, examining the circles under his eyes, and the scratched and small amounts of dirt in his skin. 'Nasty...' He thought with a small shudder, then jumped in the shower quickly.
The shower soon started, the dull noise of water hitting the floor slowly filling the room.

Some time passed, the door to the bathroom still closed. A loud squeak could be heard, the water turning off quickly, silencing the room.
Liliana could hear Cain walk out of the shower, then the room feel silent once more. After maybe 5 minutes, the door was pushed open.
The smell of warm and clean air filled the room. Cain stepped out of the bathroom, a towel around his shoulders. His hair was still damp, small drops dripping off the ends of his hair. Funny thing was, he wasn't wearing a shirt, leaving his chest completely exposed.

The sudden light in the room surprised him, brightening up every shadowy corner. His eyes widened a bit, looking around slowly at the lamps, then looking to her, absolutely astounded. Cain stood speechless, eyes glued to her. Liliana noticed how much better his features look, with all the dirt and tiredness washed from his face and eyes. Cain had wanted to ask how, but he shook his head slightly, looking away.
The rest of the food caught his eyes, and he tried to hide the fact of how hungry he was.
He had actually expected her to eat more, but was glad that she kept him in mind even the slightest bit.

With a small inside chuckle, and maybe even a small inside smile, he sat back on the chair, plucking a piece of bread from the chair and starting to eat his share of the food that was left.
He ate rather quickly, but not like a crazy animal, even if he did want to, or if he was that hungry.
Part of him wanted to look like he knew how to control himself in front of this girl, not matter the conditions.

As her eyes adjusted to the light fully she noticed a figure at the door to the shower and almost jumped, suddenly looking Cain's way as though shocked at his appearance. Though, after realizing it was just Cain, she smiled again, at least until she noticed his bare upper body, mouth opening just slightly. A sudden tug at her throat made her swallow and her heart quickened a little, but she pried her gaze away, occasionally glancing at him almost uncontrollably.

She knew she had to put a control on her impulses so immediately slid from the bed and made her way to the shower where she stopped for a moment, looking over her shoulder at Cain, this time just looking at his face, a small amused smile coming across her face as she watched how he ate, he was trying but she could see some bad habits trying to slip through.

As she pulled the door closed she could be seen removing the dress but it didn't reveal much before it was completely shut. Liliana was glad to finally have a shower there was plenty of dirt to clean away, and her hair could get a good wash, though she would take considerably more time to finish than he did.
When she was finally done, she emerged wrapped in a gown she'd found, making sure it covered her correctly, she brought the last of her clothes, the dress and her stockings, and folded them neatly on her other clothes, then sitting on the bed of the bed she'd been on earlier.

She was careful not to let it expose her, but she did feel a little wary now, the gown wasn't entirely sturdy material and could be easily taken from her, in some ways she was ultimately exposed now. Though she reassured herself, Cain was trustworthy, he wouldn't harm her. Though remembering there was only one bed she had two sides of her arguing that she wanted Cain in the bed, the other half stressing that she would feel uncomfortable, however she gazed at Cain, choosing her more logical side as she simply smiled at him again, deciding to let her heart win over her head this time and sooth her senses into enjoying the idea of being close to him.

Cain watched as Liliana walked into the bathroom, and noticed the small glimpse of bare skin he saw while the door was closing.
A small lump formed in his throat, looking away and swallowing it, letting it slide down his throat, trying to get the pink color away from his cheeks.
Once the door closed, he quickly finished his food, letting out a sigh once he had his full.
Time passed, he wanted to wait for her to come out, but his eyelids had begun to droop, his body slumping. Giving in to this urge, he walked over to the bed, falling onto his side with a deep and heavy sigh.

As Liliana walked out of the room, she could see one of the lights had been shut off, allowing one part of the room to grow dimmer than the other.
Cain was laid on one side of the bed, his shirt still laid on the floor by the rest of his clothing. Laying on his side, facing her, Liliana could see that his eyes were closed, and could hear his quiet breathing.
He looked peaceful, all the hard emotions from his face drifted away in his sleep, leaving him looking more and more like a gentle person.
He shifted slightly in his sleep, burying his face closer into the pillows in which laid under his head. To anyone, that would have a been a cute sight.

He never looked like the type to give in so easily to sleep, and to seem so satisfied by letting go and just drifting away.
His whole body was slumped and relaxed, much different from the hours before. Where his shoulders were straight and tense, and his back always even.
It was a strange sight to Liliana, haven seem him before, and now witnessing the after. Probably something not many people saw.
Liliana also noticed how far towards the edge he was, haven laid there, making sure she had plenty of room to feel comfortable.

Liliana stared at the sleeping demon in an amused fashion, even with-holding a small squeal of glee at how cute he looked when he shifted suddenly, was she really frightened of him earlier? She noticed he hadn't gotten under the covers of the bed, though it made sense, it was warm tonight, though it would get cold eventually.

The young woman considered this for a small while, suddenly feeling worried again, she wasn't sure why, demons could survive extreme cold and even dip themselves into lava if they were powerful enough, except for elemental based ones, an ice demon would melt in lava, that would be poor planning on their part. However she felt compelled, turning to the remaining lamps and she blew softly at the air, the lamps blowing out one-by-one.

After a moments hesitation she slid onto the bed, getting up close to Cain and hugging her arms to her chest so that they were balled up under her chin and in the dark, with only the last of the dusk-light bathing Cain's face so that she could make it out, she just stared at him, drawing the shape into her mind and setting it there in her mind.

By the time morning came she'd somehow maneuvered herself sot hat she was clinging to his torso with her left arm, her body finding an opportune moment for her right arm to slip under Cains arm and curl around the back of his shoulder her face pressed against his chest quite comfortably and breathing so silent, as if she were nothing more than a picture of beauty, but it was there, a warm steady breath coming from her lips, her heartbeat softly thumping from her chest to him, completely unaware of her position.
Even if he moved, or spoke, she would be out cold, exhausted from yesterday, her body simply looking for safety, remembering the day before and finding itself comfort in the closest object it felt it could trust.

Beams of light had begun to seep in through the shades in which Cain had draw the night before. Small sounds of people awakening from their nights had stirred around the inn. Cain let out a small sigh, un-consciously wrapping a warm arm around the figure against him. He was still mostly asleep as his eyes fluttered half open, then fell heavy again. A small smile grabbed at the corners of his lips. He didn't remember the day before at the moment, and he sure didn't remember falling asleep so warm. He was very warm, to the point where he didn't want to move, didn't want to think or speak, just lay there and bask in the comfort. What was this feeling? It seemed familiar, but he couldn;t exactly put his finger on it.

With a deep sigh, Cain let out a quiet yawn, forcing his droopy eyes to open half way. He blinked a few times, relaxing a few muscles before slowly shifting his tired gaze down. He froze, his body tensing, eyes shooting wide. 'Lilianan!? What the Hell?!' He almost said this out loud, but decided to keep that thought in his mind. He looked to his arm, and his eyes grew wider. He quickly withdrew it, then noticed the tight grasp she had around his chest and waist. Warmth was creeping up on his cheeks.

He took in a deep breath, swallowing a large lump in his throat before lifting a hand. He wanted to wake her, but something made him stop him movement.
She was so warm, and soft, and beautiful. He didn't want to ruin that, not yet. But if she was to wake up, and see herself like this, would she be scared? Would she blame it on him and run away? To many frightening thoughts came to his mind as his head fell back onto the pillow. A small whine of frustration left the demon and he closed his eyes, letting out another deep sigh.

Liliana remained oblivious to the world, even as he tests up and shifted,s he remained relaxed, sleeping soundly, though it was as if her body sensed his movements the her head shifted, moving up so the her she was resting the top of her head up against the underside of his jaw, gently rubbing in against his neck as she held him a little tighter, her body pressing up against his, her leg slipping from the gown and brushing up against Cain's trousers.

She seemed to stay like that for a moment, though then took a deep breath and sighed, a stream of warm breath washing over his neck before her grip seemed to weaken. Her left arm pulled away from his torso, her body half rolling away. this liberated his body, and with a little movement he could could slip his arm away from her. With another shift her legs withdrew, shifting aside, although her gown continued to cover her it left one leg exposed well up to the hip. In spite of this she remained asleep, an odd smile spread on her face, she certainly seemed highly comfortable in spite of it all.

Cain froze, completely froze once Liliana started moving. Please don't wake up, PLEASE don't wake up..
What if she woke up and saw the two like this?
He wasn't a pervert, well, not all of the time, but especially not after just meeting the girl. He didn't want to be framed for that.
And especially not by a girl who was so fragile, so clearly afraid of him most of the time, he wouldn't be able to open his mouth to speak again after that.
But once Liliana started to shirt further away, Cain swiftly and quickly pulled his other arm away from her, freeing himself as he sat up quickly and quietly.
He hadn't even moved the bed, letting out a sigh of relief.

A hand lifted, moving to his face a rubbing his eyes briefly, before looking down at her. The first thing that caught his eyes, her exposed leg.
He stopped, eyes still, not moving away. He knew he shouldn't be staring, but he couldn't help it. His eyes traveled up, scanning the rest of her, noticing that this thin robe was the only thing she was wearing. A smirk tried to creep onto his lips, but he quickly shook his head and looked away.
'What the HELL?! What am I doing?!'
He thought, looking away, faced away from the sleeping teen.
He couldn't look at her like that, not now, but...what about later? Yeah, there was always later.
NO! Stop it! Geez, what are you? Some horny pervert? Get a hold of yourself, wake her UP!

The demon cleared his throat, letting his arms fall to his sides, hands laying on the bed next to him. He turned slightly, looking down at her once more.
He had to tug his eyes away from her exposed leg, moving them to her face. He watched her for some time, then blinked and begun to speak.
"Lili...Hey, Wake up." He called to her, not as quiet as he should have been. He had also lifted a hand, gripping her shoulder lightly and shaking her gently.

Liliana was shaken by Cain easily enough but she didn't wake up, rolling again, but this time away from Cain bringing her legs up slightly as she curled into something of a fetal position, this covered her slightly better as the right side of her gown fluttered over both her legs, though she shivered a little as though cold, left hand gripping the underside of the pillow she rested her head on, her right grasping the covers of the bed and clung onto them.

She continued to sleep though, her body taking a deep breath again and sighing. After putting herself on the brink like that yesterday, all that running, the hiding, the keeping alert just so she could stay one step ahead of her pursuers. With no more reason to be running right at this moment her body felt it deserved a well-earned rest, refusing to get up or awaken.

In the dreams of Liliana she was treated to a serene feeling of comfort, she felt herself floating through a calm void with no trouble. There was an essence of security, with Cain nearby she felt like she was thoroughly protected from the dangers out there now, though it was then that a dark shadow spread across her dreams, red painted lips and hypnotizing golden eyes appeared before her, grinning, polished nails on a slender hand reaching out from the dark to grasp at Liliana's throat.

She could feel the tightening, the suffocation and the sudden onslaught of terror, the familiar feeling of hatred, and disgust.
Liliana suddenly shot up from the bed, a deep gasp for breath being heard as though she'd only just been allowed to breath after a long strangulation, Cain would recognize the look on her face, the same look of terror and fear from when he'd snapped at her.
She stared at nothing for a few seconds before looking down on herself and the gown she wore, legs exposed, her hand just holding the gown together so it didn't expose her any further. There were no markings on her legs, though she looked suddenly over to Cain, not with an accusing look, but something of slight embarrassment,
"Uhm.. G-good morning Cain.. Did you sleep well..?" She asked, trying to dodge any embarrassing questions she could have been asking, like if he'd done anything to her while she slept, or if she'd embarrassed him.

Cain had been looking away, then quickly looked in her direction. The gasping of breath made his body tense, ready for anything that might have been there.
But seeing her merely sitting up in the bed calmed his thoughts, but he was still a bit concerned. He paid no attention to the fixing of her clothes, just the expression on her face. Did she have a nightmare? Had she seen something? He hadn't the slightest idea. As Liliana calmed down, her eyes moving to him, he straightened, wiping the concern from his face and raising an eyebrow at her. After hearing his question, he shrugged.
"Sleep is sleep, but sure."
He said, turning his gaze away from her.

With a small sigh, he stood, tilting his heck from side to side with small pops. Liliana could see how much more energy was in him, how his face was brightened, even after just waking up. He looked MUCH more handsome now, after getting one night of much needed rest.
Cain was still topless, but was leaning down to grab his shirt from the floor. He didn't bother with the rest of his clothing just yet.
He slipped the shirt over his head, causing his hair to spring out a bit more in a cute fashion before pulling it over his chest. Now that he was mostly clothed, he turned to Liliana again, looking down at her with that same expressionless face he always had.
"Where were you heading yesterday? In a certain direction, or were you just running wildly like everyone else...?" He suddenly asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. He needed to know, or else these two wouldn't be getting anywhere. He was her shield for the moment, so he did have to be in front for now.

Liliana made herself sit more comfortably, watching Cain with those maroon eyes of hers, they themselves also riddled with a new livelihood, no longer hungry, nor even tired, she was feeling energy of her own beginning to awaken with her body, and she could also feel Cain's energy in her mind, that unknown force she couldn't fully read, but she knew there was a substantial amount awaiting use.

She was inwardly a little disappointed when he put his shirt on, rather enjoying staring at him in his new, vigorous state, though when he presented his question, her face dropped. How could she tell him this? There was so many reasons for why she was running, as for where, she didn't have any, so she lowered her head, looking aside,
"I was just running.. Away.. I really didn't care where.. I'm ashamed to admit it but I don't know much about the world, where things are. I don't even know many people here.." She admitted sadly, hugging her arms around her torso and looking over to Cain,
"I just had to escape from those men.." She stated, looking away, "To be honest so long as you're with me I'm putting you in danger... They wont be the last ones."

Liliana winced a little to herself, perhaps she'd made an awful mistake admitting this to Cain, those people would come for her again, they would try to reclaim her and once they knew Cain was helping her they'd be targeting him too for getting in their way. Liliana was being overcome with a mixture of guilt and, once again, fear, fear that Cain would leave her alone and save himself from the trouble of the coming dangers, this thought screaming loudly in her mind until she lowered her head,
"If you no longer want anything to do with me.. I understand.. Its unfair to ask you to come with me, knowing what is to come.."

Cain rose an eyebrow, glancing at her out of the corner of his bright yellow eye. He watched her look away from him, watched the different expressions cross over her features during this few moments. He listened to her words as he leaned down, plucking his cloves from the ground.
As she finished, he slipped them over his arms, flicking off little bits from them after being on the floor. He stood silent for a moment, running the words through his head. To anyone, it could have been read from his expression that he was bound to walk straight out of that door and never come back.
But then again, he was rather hard to read, no matter the person.

Slowly, Cain turned back to face the teen, raising a finger and waving it slightly. A smirk claimed his lips, a chuckle leaving him. "You're stupid." He said with a small chuckle, then crossed his arms and leaned towards her slightly, his face now much closer to her own. "No one can get passed me. Just so long as you stay out of my way, I said you were free to come along." He reminded her, his smirk deepening as he remembered the day before, and somewhat chuckling to himself on how the two met. With one last look, he stood straight once more, lifting the muffler from the floor and setting it on the bed. Cain directed his attention to the window, looking out at the morning sky.

"Hurry and get ready, if you're hungry, we'll eat, if not, we can wait till lunch." He told her, eyes still on the window solemnly. A few questions bothered him, once more about this girl. But he dared not ask, especially not right now. Maybe later, on a different date and time.
When the two knew each other more, were one wasn't so indifferent towards the other. Time, that was the priority.
Cain hated time, he hated being patient, it just wasn't in his personality, nor one of his best qualities.

"You mean you-.." Liliana started, inwardly shocked that he was willing to keep her company in spite of the dangers, though then again as powerful as he was, maybe the dangers would not frighten him so much as it did her. But was this confidence or misplaced arrogance? She couldn't tell to be truthful, and she didn't care, he was going to protect her anyway, as a demon; Cain was very surprising to Liliana.

His command for her to get ready was followed by an immediate nod from the girl,
"Okay!" she proclaimed, hopping from the bed and turned to her clothes, without a thought on Cain being present she slipped the gown from her shoulders with a smooth roll from each and pulled her arms out, neatly placing it on the bed before she grasped her purple leggings, it was at this moment that her back was exposed to Cain, revealing a variety of strange marks, although there were several more obvious whip scar scratched across it, but there were also a multitude of ivory markings cut into the skin in what could possibly be an unknown language.

She daintily rolled the stockings up her legs until they sat firmly at the top of her thighs, then grabbing her underwear and pulling it on. Putting on her bra was a slight task, but she was flexible enough to clip the bra straps together, the dress was slipped on overhead and she reached to both sides, making sure the peach jacket over the dress was taut enough.
She didn't bother with her own scarf, the gloves or the hair band just yet, she could put them on at any time as she adjusted her hair, making sure it was all lose from the clothes and smiled at Cain,
"All set.."

Cain had been adjusting the gloves on his arms, his eyes and attention on them fully. He then looked up, hearing her sudden movement and wondering just what she was doing.

His eyes grew wide, pupils small.

A hand lifted covering his mouth as he watched the robe fall off body, leaving her exposed. He felt his cheeks grow warm. The air in his lungs stood still, his throat closing as his breath caught. His eyes couldn't help themselves. They traveled down slowly, scanning her body with a dirty smirk on the inside.
He had NEVER expected this from her. But it was VERY amusing to watch her pull on her clothing. His jaw tightened at the sight of her slipping on her under clothing. The perverted side of him desperately wanted to tilt his head to the side, just to take a peek around her to see exactly what she was covering.
A back view was too taunting for him. Most girls would have walked into the bathroom at least, or made him leave the room...
Or, on occasions, told him to dress them for them. But that's a different story.

Cain watched until she was finished, and by the time the teen turned around, his face was burning. His cheeks were on fire and a hand covered his mouth in a cute way. Either way, he was probably smirking on the inside. He looked up at her eyes, staring at her is slight awe and amazement.
That was definitely the last thing he had expected from her. Well...never mind, he could come up with much worse.
Seeing her fully dressed was disappointing, he liked her the other way, but then again, what man would not?
Maybe he'd have another chance to see all of her, just maybe.

Cain cleared his throat, and tried to take a breath in. The air caught in his throat again, clearing it once more with a few forced coughs.
He glanced at Liliana, still light red in the face. After several more tries, his voice finally came to him, it was was weak, but still there.
"Alright..."
Was all he said, all his body and mind would allow him to say. Cain took a step forward, hesitated, then hurried past her to the door, opening it.

Liliana had taken no real notice of Cain's embarrassment at what he was being allowed to view, nor was she aware of the perversions that had entered his mind, simply glad to have him nearby. As she was about to leave the room she stopped, looking up at his face, it was red and for some reason...

Liliana raised her hand gently to touch his face, it was arm from the blood that had been rushing to it. She immediately withdrew her hand, putting it to her mouth as she thought for a second, then tilting her head,
"Do you have a fever, Cain..? Are you sure you're okay to be wandering around?" She asked, leaning up close to him and placing a hand on his chest as she looked closer to his face, as if inspecting it to make sure he was okay, curious features remaining plastered as she tilted her head the other way.
She felt she owed him to be concerned for his health too considering he'd done so much for her in such a short space of time. Though once she figured it was probably just warmth from being in the room she eventually stepped away, beginning to walk down the hallway, her last possessions in her clutches,
"Oh yeah! How could I forget?" The girl suddenly remembered something from yesterday and suddenly broke into a slow jog, making her way down the flights of stairs, through the tavern's eating area and outside to the flowers, still wilted, in fact they looked poorer than the night before.

The maroon-eyed girl kneeled by one of the flowerbeds, placing the last of her clothes at her side as she then placed her palms in between the flowers and giggled, an aura of energy spreading across every petal and stem, filling them with life and vigor, bringing back their color until both the flowerbeds were suddenly vibrant in color,
"I did it!" The odd girl stated rather gleefully, rather impressed at her mighty handiwork.

As the bubbly teen approached him, he took half a step back, his brow furrowing. When her hand lifted, and gently laid on his face, he blinked q bit quickly out of confusion. His face was warm, he could feel the tips of his ears grow warm as well.
To anyone it may have seemed like he had a fever, or was getting sick, but only he knew the actual reason, and he dared not admit the truth.
Cain looked away, turning his head to the side and pushing back the heat from his face.
"I'm fine, don't be an idiot."
He muttered, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms in front of his chest stiffly.
Having her this close to him was strange. No girl usually came so close to him, and so freely.
HE was the one to pull the girl to him, not like this.

When Liliana suddenly jumped up and hurried out of the room, his thoughts broke, confusion overlaying his features as he watched her leave, then quickly followed her down the dim hallway. He couldn't help himself as the thought of her exposed body crept into his mind again, making him shiver slightly.
If only she had turned slightly. While he was thinking, an image caught his mind. While the girl was faced away from him, her back exposed, had he seen scars? Cain slowed at the thought, watching as Liliana hurried outside. With a small shake of his head, he hurried outside.

Cain turned the corner of the inn door just in time to see Liliana plant her hands on the flower bed. He looked confused for a moment, then silently gasped, eyes widening. The flowers brightened, as did his eyes. He'd never seen anyone do that, he knew this girl was different, but he never knew she could do things like that. Was that all she was capable of? Or could she bring bigger life forces back to life after death had consumed them.
He watched in amazement as life returned to the flowers and the girl finished.
Cain was speechless once again, it seemed she would keep doing things that would surprise him forever, leaving him completely mute at this rate. The thought rushed back to him as he looked down at at the teen. The scars, where they real?

"Hey, Lili." He started, tilting his head slightly, his brow furrowing at the thought. He looked away for a second, contemplating on if he should ask this or not. What if there was a bad story behind them, and it offended her? With another moment of silence, he looked back at her, taking a silent breath.
"Don't think bad of me, but earlier...when you were changing, I couldn't help but notice something..." He begun, quickly pushing back his other thoughts and focusing on the scars. "Were there...scars...on your back?" He finally asked, raising an eyebrow in her direction.

Lilianna looked up in Cain's direction when she heard his voice, grinning like an overly pleased child at what she'd done, but then the question came, yet without realizing they were already covered she seemed to panic a little, trying to hug herself and cover the scars again, but then noticed her clothes, staring at them rather ashamedly as she lowered her head,
"I wish you hadn't seen that.." She stated, bringing her knees up slowly and hugging them to her chest as she looked across the flowers. Even as her sudden magic trick had begun gaining some spectators, all amazed that the withering flowers were so shockingly colorful again, Liliana's face became one plastered with misery again.

She pushed herself up from the floor eventually dusting herself down as she turned, bending down to pick up the last of her clothes and hugging them closer to her chest, sorrowful eyes staring over at her companion before walking up to him, head lowered as if she'd done something terrible and now was the time to own up to it though looked up at him,
"There's.. There's a lot I'd have to tell you.." She began, but lowered her head again, "Though you're probably not interested in it.. It isn't something that you have to concern yourself with." She stopped and looked at him suddenly "N-not that I think you would..!! I mean..! You know.." She struggled to find the right terms but just ended up blushing and began walking away swiftly, but not too fast,
"N-nevermind.. Just.. Forget about it.."

Cain was surprised at her sudden withdrawal, her body language making him wish he hadn't spoken. He glanced at the others forming around the flowers, shooting them brief death glares. As the girl stood, he took a step back, watching her with intense and curious eyes.
He listened as she spoke, but he didn't care, he wanted to know. If it would help him understand her, and her strange powers, he wanted to know.
Or, was it just because he was worried...?

As Liliana begun to walk past him, he quickly threw out his hand, grabbing her by the wrist and tugging her body towards his own.
He brought her inches from his face, looking right into her eyes. His own contained questions, questions that demanded answers.
"Try me, tell me what you will. I want to know EVERYTHING."
He growled, bringing his face closer to hers.
"You're probably the most confusing girl I've ever met! You're sudden powers astound me, and yet I can't even tell what you are, feeling, thinking, Nothing!
Are you even human?"
He asked all of these quickly, his eyes diving deeper into her, as if he was looking for the answers even before she may have even said them. The grip o her arm seemed to tighten as each question was said, as each second passed them by.
Cain's face looked desperate, maybe even slightly panicked? He glanced down at his hand, and blinked slowly.
He realized just how hard he was gripping her arm, and quickly let go, drawing his hand back.
Great, now he probably scared the ever-living shit outta the poor girl.
Way to go Cain...
