It doesn't much matter, and really on my own is good for an alto? I like that song, but maybe I'll do favorite things, hmmm or just you wait! What about 'Show me' from my fair lady, do you think that could be an alto? Oh I was thinking about Chicago, but there's gonna be 6 year olds there...so that might not be the best choice XD

For the monologue, it doesn't much matter. I have one from Charlie brown that's rather amusing and another from Our town about dying, but I'm not sure I like them that much XD

Do you listen to the sirus XM radio 'On Broadway' station by any chance? That's were I heard half those songs :D

Yeah surprisingly all of those songs can be rather good for an alto. For monologues I would recommend the sight monologuearchive.com. That's the one I use a lot if I'm looking for particular monologues and they have some pretty good ones too. It does include Shakespeare ones, but it also has stuff from Lord Byron, Sophocles, and Percy Bysshe Shelley, as well as a whole bunch of different famous playwrights. They also have a children's section, which might be good for you. I know they have stuff from Alice in Wonderland and The Adventures of Huckleberryfin. :D
