yeah, I need to fix nicole's head/hair relationship and I just don't like kat. they're in a different style and idk. Nothing is ever good enough these days.

I guess it is. Its for BSW. so I'm going to color it and add blood randomly and her hands and neck are chained. it isn't the original idea, but I realized that my reference material was wrong actually, but the details of the skirt hid that her legs could not be in that position so I had to change my drawing to make sense.

and I have gotten horrible worse without wanting to. but it does mean that my work gets me better and better.

so you think that I should do this pic for the contest? it has to be really high quality and I don't think I can make it that way.

It may just be your spending more time doing basic stuff and so it's effecting your skills.

one one level, I can tell that my anime style is A LOT better. don't you think I've been getting a lot more detailed and incorporating more positions. but I'm also surrounded by what I WANT to be able to do. I'm never the best and that bothers me.

thanks.....I guess I'll finish the sketch and show it again. also, I intend to color it with prismas and the background will be like seeing a bleeding sunset from inside a cave where all the oranges and reds blend into the black.

It not about being the best, there is always going to be someone out there better than you. Just be good and keep getting better.

yeah... maybe if i see it complete...

but I have goals for what I want to be able to do and I look at most of my stuff and it doesn't feel complete. nothing is a piece of art on its own really. i don't know if I need to be thinking about composition more or if more shading and color will help. I feel like is always missing something.

That's why you're learning, there is still a lot you could be able to learn... dont' be too hard on yourself. besides your great at still life stuff.

well you need to cultivate that skill

but also work on your anime skill. just practice, practice, practice

just make sure you keep that skill and don't lose it b/c you are spending to much time on trying to draw anime.

books on how to draw manga/anime that show you a step by step breakdown of how to do it. i'm sure poe could recommend some great ones to you.
