so there is a writing contest for the maximum ride book but i think i may be too old to enter. it says you have to be between the ages of 13 and 18 as of march 15... i turned 19 the day before

well the fact of the matter is they are changing the textbooks to include a more conservative-coloring to history but in general it's just equalling out the playing field a bit. The only bad thing is they are downplaying Jefferson's role in history. And also one thing people fail to ignore is these haven't even been implanted or voted for yet. They haven't been ratified yet, so it may not even happening.

Yeah the textbooks lie. If people want real history it's better for them to research it themselves, it's a bit more accurate that way. As much as we would like to say history is concrete it isn't. It's subjected to the opinions of the people at the time and it always will be.
