Salutations! My name is Mels.
I am twenty years old, and I'm in college.
I've been role playing for well over a decade.
But lately I've been having a hard time finding people to connect with.
I'm tired of carrying a role play.
And being the only one moving the plot.
So, to be honest, I am not looking for people new at this.

Do you have any plots in mind or you're craving at
the moment.

Sadly, I don't really.
It's been quite a long time since I've gotten to role play.
I'm not sure where I'd like to begin.
Right now, I'm pretty open to a lot of suggestions. C:

with a sci-fi theme or something
more modern?

I usually do modern type role plays.
I've never really gotten into sci-fi type plots. (Like, futuristic, or...?)
But really that's only because I've never been asked to.
So, I suppose modern would be best, unless you don't mind teaching me a thing or two about sci-fi stuff.
I don't appose learning, ever.
(I actually think if given the option, I might want to do a sci-fi one. I just saw the new Star Trek movie and I'm all ridiculous about that movie now. xD I'm going to have to go back and watch the original shows!)

I wouldn't mind basing a roleplay lightly off of Star Trek.

Plots I usually let the roleplay figure them out since I like to add twists, and sticking our characters into something already made kinda kills that. This is my opinion, but we can talk about where our characters will be, and things of that nature -^^-

I don't know if I'd do good in a situation similar to Star Trek unless it was very vague.
Perhaps like, a community living on a ship in space kind of vague. xD
I don't know much about that kind of stuff, to be totally honest.
I'll admit my ignorance there. xD

And I do agree with you. I don't like everything planned out.
But I do like to have some sort of idea going down. C:

Well don't have to have people living on a spaceship, but we can have people staying on a space ship. Like some kind of Spaceship-hotel-like-thing.

What if, perhaps... We base it in the future, and the earth is dying?
They take a few select people up to see how the 'facility' works with a test group or something?
That way there's like a plot around our characters? C:

Maybe when they first get there it's like a vacation, and then they start adding weird rules and stop telling them at what is happening on earth. xD
Maybe the planet dies and they never get to know that they're the only ones left.

So you wanna roleplay on threads or PMs,
and characters what kind of profile do you want for them?

I prefer the forums. xD I'm kind of deciding to role play so I can get some money.
And as for profiles... I kind of prefer descriptions in the role play.
I'm not a fan of list profiles or what ever. Those have always seemed pretty lazy to me.
No offense to anyone who uses them of course. xD

Hurm, would you mind? I've never made a thread here, and I'm prone to managing to break rules without doing it on purpose. xD

Also, are we going to be using a male / male pairing, or a male / female pairing? And if the latter, which am I playing, and which are you playing?
I kind of feel like we should do at least a little more verification before starting.
Like, what's a comfortable age limit for you?
I really prefer my characters to be my age or older. I'm 20.

As for me I'd prefer male/male.
I was never fond of female characters -shrug-
people always made them more girly then they had to be.
IDK most female characters never seemed realistic to me.

As for age limits I normally have the age around twenty also

I'm shockingly not good with female characters either.
Weirdly, because I am a girl. xD I just don't know, I suck at playing my own gender.
And I completely understand the too feminine character problem.
I usually don't role play male / female myself, but sometimes I attempt to give it a try.

I need to figure out which of my characters would be good for this before I decide an official age. I do have characters over 25, but I doubt I'll be using one.

I just realized how ironic it is that they're there to populate the world and we pick male / male. lol.

Well, just as long as you don't mind that I need to draw a new reference up, then we're free to start. I'm going to use my character Zacharia, but he needs a little bit of a revamp before he'll work for a sci-fi role play. I need to remove his piercings and stuff. C:
