Finally seeing the bright lights of a town, Adalia became excited. Her stomach had been grumbling for an hour, and she didn't care to spend another night sleeping out in the wilderness. The only problem was, she wasn't sure if she had enough money to eat and stay at an inn. She quickened her pace a bit, wanting to get there before it was dark.

When she finally arrived she quickly scanned the area for the nearest vendor selling food, and it looked like fruit. She quickly walked over, ignoring the stares of the villagers for her strange choice of clothing, it wasn't practical to travel in a dress. There was a women buying apples and a cute girl waiting behind her. With closer examination she realized the girl was hiding long pointed ears beneath her hair.

"It's not everyday you see an elf in a human town," she said to the girl, obviously forgetting her manners.

Dawn smiled to the girl "What do i owe ya?"he asked reaching down to grab his coin purse. He was pushing his limit on time. As much as he hated to bail he kinda really should get away from this girl."You have a very lovely name ,and you should get out and see the world maby I'll show you some of it "he said trying to be polite.A slight breeze blew trough the shop reveling his elf like ears before he could stop it.

"Well, the medicine will be.. I'd say two pieces of silver, if you please." he said, still petting Drakon. Evelyn smiled at his kind words and the offer gave her butterflies. When he was done speaking, she looked up at him and smiled, "Thank you, and I think would like that..." she looked up just as the wind blew, revealing his ears. She blinked a few times, not sure what she should say, or if she should even say anything, "Oh, you're... Oh... That explains the traveling a bit..." she smiled and looked down, trying to avoid staring again.

Senna tucked her hair behind a slightly pointed ear. It was in the shape that an elf's would be but it wasn't as pointed as their's would be. She looked to her side taking in the one girl and then the other. This stand was getting pretty crowded.

"Are you talking to me or her?" She asked speculatively. The one girl directly behind her was obviously of elf blood. She hadn't seen any elves in a good while now so she was a little suprised. The other woman reminded her of a woman she met once but they were two different people.

The Vendor looked pretty happy as he handed Senna the apples. He didn't appear to have gotten much business until now from the amount of fruit still there. That suprised her, such fruits were a delicious treat.

At the other girl's question Adalia looked up at her ears, realizing that they too had pointed characteristics. She gave an awkward smile, now realizing she may possible have afffended one of them.

"I guess both of you," she said, giving a nervous laugh while picking up a few apples and examining them for herself. She didn't want to come off as rude, knowing elven people faced much speculation from humans. "I don't mean anything by it though, just something I noticed," she began stumbling, picking the right words. "I'm surely not one to judge," she joked, followed by a more sincere laugh. "Are you from around here?" she asked with much curiousity.

Nanou glanced at the girl who had come up from behind, her mouth twisting into a sneer. "What kind of boor are you to be so rude to someone like me?" She hastily ran her fingers through her hair once again and turned to face the girl, arms crossed. Listening to the girl's words, she struggled to compose herself. Nanou listened, almost pityingly, as the girl stumbled for the correct words. Softening her face, Nanou sighed in exasperation and shook her head at Adalia. "No, I am not from around here. Is there anything either of us can help you with? It really isn't commonplace to find a human so willing to interact with anyone remotely elf-like, so forgive me but, you seem to be acting somewhat out of place. One can only assume the curiosity is for a reason."

((Edited because I didn't see your new post, Amelia... Sorry!!! ^_^;;))

The girl's words stung a bit as she was called a boor, now being sure her mouth had yet again betrayed her. She listened intently as the girl spoke, and Adalia noticed that she spoke very eloquently.

"Well," Adalia began her response, ''I travel quite a bit, and elves are surely not what they are made out to be. Once when I was very sick I came upon a village, and they let me stay, even gave me some medicine. It was very hospitable." She smiled, recalling her fond memories of the village. "I was curious to know if you possibly came from that village."

She fished through her pocket to find the coins for the apples, and finally found some. Counting the silvers and golds, she knew finding an inn that would accept her low payment would be difficult. She kindly payed the vendor for the apple, but tucked it away in small bag tied around her hip, not wanting to begin eating in the middle of a conversation.

Evelyn collected the money and put it in the pouch of her apron to take in the back later on. She smiled a little, as Dawn informed her the offer was still open, "I just meant it can't be easy staying in one place for you and your people, even if it is only partly what you are." she said with a smile as she held her hand out and grasped the bell, "I will remember that. It shouldn't be too hard to do either..." she looked up at him and smiled.

Evelyn was surprised by Dawn's abrupt movements, but called out to him "Goodbye." any way. She smiled after him and rested her crossed arms against the counter. Dawn seemed like a nice guy, and Evelyn believed she might have a crush from the brief encounter. He was the first to invite her anywhere, and he was a bit exotic, even if he did say it was only 'partially', the ears were enough. He also had a wolf, and Evelyn LOVED animals... She smiled a little, staying behind the counter and looking at the door. 'Where would he take her?', she wondered, 'Where could we travel... Oh, the places, the places I'd like to go...'

After the euphoria settle down a bit, she wondered why he traveled so much to begin with. Also, she wondered why he was in such a hurry to get away from her. Maybe his words were empty and he was making a hasty retreat from the silly girl. Then again...' she thought, 'Why would he have given me the bell if he wasn't serious...?' she wondered, holding the bell in front of her eyes to examine it. Evelyn was tempted to ring it right then to see if it worked, but at the same time, she was arguing with herself not to do so in case it did work. She tucked the bell into her dress pocket along with the coins, so she would be tempted no longer. Evelyn decided she could find somewhere else to keep it- a better place.

Senna didn't say a word, the other woman spoke before she did. 'Oh, there's no doubt to her heritage,' Senna thought to herself. The only thing she wondered was why a little elf girl was so far from home especially one that sounded rather well off and looked the part. The elf girl held herself well and Senna found herself curious.

"What village do you speak of?" Senna asked the other woman instead, "There are plenty of them scattered about in the West and few of them are of any note." Senna watched her with her cool calculating gaze waiting to see what she answered. Perhaps it was close to her own home village of Sinekt, if it could be called that. It was more like a city.

He twitched his ears and wiggled his fingers for apparently no reason. He raised his nose to the air and took a nice big sniff to get a feel for the place. He was so so hungry and he could almost taste those with the means to 'feed' him. He looked at his partner who was in complete Siaosian glory, fangs and all.

"Tasty, tasty," it chanted and Ita rolled his pretty little eyes.

"Your not gunna catch anything like that," Ita replied, "You need to add some...Dazzle to lore 'em in." Then before the moment completely passed Ita became a beautiful woman in scandelous attire that 'covered' to a degree.

The other Siaos snorted, "Yeah, I'll dazzle you." He flipped his long silver hair and his red eyes glinted as he raised one pointed claw. "This is all I need."

"Heh. I'm sooo sure." Ita made his way towards the village. It was just hitting nightfall and this was supposed to be quick and painless. They hadn't fed in what seemed like forever and now seemed like the best time. "You can go 'rawr' after I've had my fill" and with that Ita sauntered into the village in his full glory looking for prey. It wasn't long until he caught his first whiff of both power and recently spilled blood that was only beginning to heal. The taste and smell belonged to that of a man who had an animal nearby. That wouldn't be too hard to catch, right? Besides, even if one man proved too hard of a catch there were plenty of other fish in this sea.

It wasn't long after Dawn left that the sun had begun to set and the sky was beginning to turn indigo with the turning of the night. Evelyn's father still had not returned and she was beginning to worry. He had gone out for a mere consultation, but had been gone for a few hours. She was starting the lock up routine when the door opened and he entered. Evelyn smiled with relief and inquired, "What took so long?"

"There was a problem. Allergic reactions..." he responded, taking off his coat and placing it on the counter. "Why don't you go on home without me and I'll lock up." he smiled, noticing how tired she seemed.

Evelyn was indeed tired, and could use the walk home sooner rather than later. She walked in the back first and changed into her hunting clothes so she could leave the spare dress in the back in case the situation with time and not having enough of it occurred again. Putting the silver coins into the vault, she pulled out the little bell Dawn had given her. Evelyn smiled to herself as she looked at it, tucking it into the pouch she kept tied to her belt for spare things, which proved its convenience again and again.

Retrieving her bow and putting the quiver over her back and its strap across her chest, she set out, walking through the front of the shop and saying goodbye to her father before exiting the shop. She walked the blue-tinted paths, trying to make her way home. On the walk, she kept one hand over the bell, thinking about the encounter, and her other at the ready by her side.

Adalia listened as the women calmly spoke her words. "Oh, it was a magnificant place. The name was Sinekt, I believe. The elders there were very wise," she mentioned. She stood back a bit from the vendor's stand, not wanting to be in the way of potential customers. "Have you ever been there? It's in the far West, I believe, close to the water," Adalia questioned her.

She waited intently for her response, perhaps the two had something in common. Suddenly, she could feel a chill down her spine. She had a strange sixth sense like that, she seemed to get weird feelings when something bad was about to occurr. She looked around the area thoughtfully, trying to spot anything out of place. To her disadvantage she found nothing, but slowly inched her hand to the hilt of her blade, just to be safe.

Nanou shifted her stance and tossed her hair behind her shoulder. It was getting darker and she wasn't as worried about other humans seeing her identity, now. Their eyesight was so poor and she knew with her elven eyes she would see them before they saw her.
"Sinekt..." she murmured. "It is magnificent, indeed. I am familiar with it." Nanou glanced down as Adalia's hand moved toward her blade. 'Pity,' she thought. 'The girl was beginning to make me feel more comfortable with her positive remarks regarding the elves.' Nanou shifted again, her hand also sliding to the hilt of her blade. She wasn't going to get hurt in some human town, at least not without a fight.

Senna raised an eyebrow, "Indeed, I know that place like the back of my hand. I doubt it has changed much since I lived there." What a coincidence, she looked at the elven girl. "Are your from around there?" Senna questioned but she only spared her a glance.

Senna locked her eyes on the other girl as the girl's hand rested too close to the hilt of her sword for Senna's comfort. The hairs on the back of her neck stuck out in warning and she wasn't completely sure if it was this girl or something else entirely. There was a cold feeling in her stomach, the same way it always got when something was about to go completely wrong.

-x-

Ita got the stares he took delight in as young men stopped in their tracks to stare at his marvelous display. Those bumpkins weren't used to something so...fine. Ita was tempted to amuse him/herself with one of them but Ita was on a mission. The stares were nice though and hopefully this little guise worked on whatever real prey presented itself. Whenever that happened Ita was sure his/her lousy companion would him and wreck havic on this place. Ita preferred playing where his partner took delight in complete and utter destruction.

Ita flipped his long blonde hair and moved his hips like so. This was just so much fun. It was absolutely hilarious when wives gave his female form dirty glares and tried to snap their husband's attention away from him. It didn't matter, they would all be dead by the end of the night. Thats when he spotted her. She wasn't anything special, really, but it wasn't often that he saw a human female with a bunch of elves. The elves had the magic he craved and the human was just lovely if not as lovely as himself. He slipped off into a corner the best he could without be noticed and switched forms to that of a strapping young lad. They were still a bit of a ways off so they wouldn't notice him, elf or human, so Ita became something presentable. He wanted to dazzle them not turn up their noses though that'd be a laugh. When Ita started their way again he still got stares but they were more along the lines of approval rather than 'Who does she think she is?' Ita was never one to go about unnoticed.

Adalia was astonished at the elf's words. "You lived there? How wonderful," she stated. "How long have you been away?" she asked, curiousity filling inside of her, she just loved learning about people. Finally through the corner of her eye she saw a bit of an oddity in the town. She turned her head more toward it, and her sight fixated on that of a marvelously handsome young gentlemen. She noticed all the other townspeople staring at him as well, she couldn't blame them either, because she herself could not take her eyes off. She had never seen a man so handsome before.

As he continued his advance she realized he was heading to their strange group. She was unsure of whether he was the cause of her bad feeling, and if she should release her grasp on the hilt. However, she decided to be on the safe side, as she did not want anyone hurting her new elven acquaintances, also having no knowledge to their fighting abilities. Then again, Adalia had a tendency to overreact to situations, and this man could be no threat at all. None the less, she waited for him to approach them.

Nanou clenched her jaw ever so slightly at Senna's question. "Yes, you might say that I am from around there." She half listened as Adalia gushed about the place that Nanou had recently torn herself away from once more. Her mind wandered to her parents and her brother. Just how angry was father going to be this time? Nanou had been away longer and gone further than she'd ever gone before.
She shook her head clear of her thoughts of home as she saw the human girl turning towards a man walking towards her. He was, Nanou had to admit, rather handsome. At least for a human. She hastily brushed her golden hair in front of her ears again, not wanting someone else to see them, and turned to the man. She narrowed her green eyes at him, unsure of his intentions. One man walking up to a group of females, Nanou could only assume that his mind was on something less than pure. "Can we help you?" she said clearly as he approached. She tried to be as pleasant as she could muster, but she could hear the edge of annoyance at this interruption in her voice.

"Its been a long time," Senna said brushing the question off. She didn't want to think too much about her place of origin and when the elfen girl said that she too was from there she didn't look too happy either. She wandered what he was up to nowadays and if his bad habits had finally caught up to him. She hoped sincerely that they did as well as a bit extra. He deserved to crash and burn.

The young man caught her eye as well and she couldn't help but cringe. He was certainly attractive but she felt skittish like a stupid girl on the cusp of womanhood. She felt immediately uncomfortable and couldn't keep her eyes focused on him which made her ashamed of herself. It wasn't that she felt no attraction rather more on the lines not knowing how to act in a man's presence. She wished she were anywhere else and began to bring up her defenses.

-x-

Ita smiled as charmingly as he could manage at the lovely young women. He made it convincing too at his obvious pleasure of grabbing their undivided attention. The one elf-woman looked a bit shy and nasty but the other had a nice sharp tongue. The pretty human girl seemed to be sizing him up as well.

"Perhaps," he said casually looking her in the eyes resisting the urge to take the whole of her in. He knew women liked to be looked in the eye rather than him staring at their heavenly gifts. "You seem to be an intellegent young woman and I'm new here. I keep getting lost." He turned his gaze to the other women letting them know they had his attention as well. He didn't want them to feel left out. It was soo tempting to act the way he normally did but that'd probably scare them all off before he could even take a nibble.

Adalia was wary of this new guest, and didn't know quite how to feel about him, but decided to take the route of being polite for now. "Well," Adalia began nervously, "I'm afraid I wouldn't be of too much help myself. I arrived here not long before you," she informed him sincerely.

He was so charming, she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty that she was of no use to him. She relaxed her tense grip on her sword a bit, calming down. She saw no immediate danger, he seemed alright. "Perhaps one of my accomplices here can do you a better justice," she offerred kindly, not knowing how much time either of them had spent in this village.

"I'm sorry I could not be of any assistance," she apologized, something deep inside of her truely did make her feel sorry, she wanted to help the poor stranger. "My name is Adalia, it's a pleasure to meet you," she added, with a hint of flirtation in her voice, like she was almost drawn to him.

Ita flashed Adalia an even broader smile, "Why, Adalia, its a pleasure to meet you." He took a step closer to her and raised his hand, "My name is Ita, its not as pretty as yours. May I greet you the way my people do?" He took her hand and raised it to his lips not waiting for her anwser. It was a customary greeting and one that he enjoyed immensely.

He didn't drop her hand right away, "Don't worry, maybe we can help each other." He said about the fact that she didn't know much herself. It was a shame that he didn't sense anything magical about her but it was of no matter.

Senna simply glared at him and that made Ita frown. She'd probably amuse his partner but it did nothing for him. It wasn't even worth eating her so he'd certainly leave her to him. Ita didn't want to taste anything sour.

"Maybe we can help each other," Adalia told him. She blushed at his gesture, something she was certainly not used to. She turned her head slightly, hoping the gentleman would not see, and during this act noticed Senna's clear distaste for the situation.
"Are you alright?" she asked her, wondering what was the matter. She didn't find anything wrong with Ita, and wasn't sure why Senna would act this may. Maybe she did know him from somewhere?

Ita opened his mouth to speak again but promptly shut when Senna opened hers. He'd happily babble on but this ought to be good. He noticed Adalia's blushing and wished he could get Adel to blush like that. He quickly banished the thought because it would be very distracting.

"Oh, just fine," Senna said in a tight voice. She didn't trust this 'Ita' person. He seemed too smooth and the fact that he came to them seemed suspicious. The fact that they were three women didn't seem like a good enough anwser.

"You don't look fine," Ita said in a concerned voice or the best one he could manage. "Perhaps we could see if we could find you a doctor? To see whats wrong." He glanced at Adalia.

"Thats...Thats okay." She said calmly. She looked down and was reminded of the basket of apples she held. She had forgotten about those.

"Either way, I'd say we ought to find someplace warm to continue our little convo. It is gettin` chilly out here."

Taking the compliment with a grain of salt, Nanou pursed her lips and clenched her jaw to force her mouth shut and listen while the man turned his revolting attentions to the human girl. She watched in disdain as the girl responded to his advances, to which Nanou grimaced and rolled her eyes at.
Senna, at least, was not being taken in by the man. 'Thank goodness for elves. At least someone still kept their head on their shoulders,' Nanou thought, 'At least in some way.' Senna had seemed jittery for a while, prompting Nanou to keep her hand securely on the hilt of her sword and her mind on the winds at her disposal.
As soon as Ita suggested moving inside, Nanou wrestled with the idea of suggesting somewhere well lit or somewhere darker. She wanted well-lit because she didn't want to be anywhere secluded with individuals who, although intriguing, were unknown to her. However, the darkness would help to hide her ears. Thinking for a moment, she said, "I think we should go somewhere busy. So long traveling alone I long to be around life once again. Don't you agree?" Nanou hoped that being around a lot of people would allow the group to both sit in a back corner, shading her offending ears, but allow her to let go of her worries of being anywhere alone with these folk that she had just met and knew very little about.

((Sorry about that! Fixed. :)))

[[Actually it was Ita speaking last but thats okay =o]]

'Oh, clever little witch,' Ita thought to himself, 'But I'll bite.' He gave Nanou a speculative look hiding his inner thoughts. "That sounds like a wonderful idea! I've been traveling by myself for a while now and it'd be fun to watch all the busyness of this place." 'and it'd be a wonderful place to catch them off guard,' Ita supposed after speaking aloud. Who expected to be harmed surrounded by tons of people? Besides his partner ought to be restless by now and it was only a matter of time before he decided to crash the party and get his fill. Ita was actually suprised that he held off this long. His partner was of a lower grade of his kind and had less patience than Ita did.

He nodded his head and black hair fell into his face. "After you," he said in a simple but kind manner and waved his hand up in offering. It was one of those hand flips that were used in bows to gesture to something.
