Adalia listened to the exchange of words between everyone quietly. Her uneasiness began to creep up her spine once more, especially when examining Senna's manner, it did not seem like she was fine at all. She glanced around at the buildings in the area, and noticed the local tavern. She figured that was as good a place as any, since it was most likely crowded, just as Nanou had wished for.

"We could go into the tavern," Adalia stated, and without waiting for their replys started advancing toward it. Ita seemed well enough, but she couldn't help but wonder why it was he wanted to continue a conversation with them, as there probably wasn't much else to speak of. How much more could he have to say?

'Good,' thought Nanou as she nodded and followed Adalia. The tavern was located next to a local medicine shop and looked to be bustling with activity, perfect for what Nanou was hoping to encounter with this group of people.

The elf squinted as she walked into the tavern, bright with lamps all around. She once again pulled her hair around her ears, but held her head high. It was packed tight in the tavern, and she had to push through people occasionally as she headed for an open table near the far wall where the four could continue their discussion and possibly aid this man, Ita.

As Nanou passed by a group of three men at a table, one of them slammed his drink down and quickly stood up. As he stood, so did the other two, one of which threw his hand back as he moved his chair and smacked Nanou in her chest. His movement had enough force to throw Nanou off balance, and she stumbled backward and tripped, landing on the ground at the feet of some other tavern goers, as the three men began to argue even louder. Nanou's mouth turned into a snarl, and she glared at the offending man. "How dare you!" she snapped as she collected herself and used the chair the man had moved to pull herself back up. The men ignored Nanou as she stood, which only infuriated her more. Standing behind the man, she raised her hand and aimed a strong slap at the man's head.

[[Happy Thanksgiving!]]

Senna had that frown on her face but she followed them anyways and regained her composure despite her obvious misgivings. She didn't like the idea of being surrounded by so many people but it was better than being out in the cold. She looked down at her basket and felt foolish and asked if she could leave it with the Vendor. He agreed due to the simple fact that she had tipped him so graciously when she had originally bought them. She quickly took up her pace and followed the group easily.

Ita smiled a smile that was all his own but it didn't show the malice he felt underneath the surface even though in truth he wasn't completely bad which wasn't something he'd admit to. When the one man shoved the one elf-girl he felt a small wave of irritation. Even when she regained her composure, spoke her mind, and was about to deliver the consequences Ita stepped forward and offered the fools a piece of his mind. He didn't even consider the consequences he would suffer if one of them decided to lift a finger against him. "Excuse me, Sir," Ita added emphasis on that last word wondering if the simpletons would even notice, what with all of their bickering. "That was uncalled for. Would you apologize to the lady before....something unsavory happens?"

((Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!:)))

As Ita stepped in front of Nanou, her hand collided with his muscular arm instead of the drunkard's soft face. She clenched her teeth but blushed -- she certainly hadn't intended to strike him, regardless of whether or not she trusted him yet. "I apologize for that, thank you for your help," she whispered to him as he intervened.

Meanwhile, the drunkard slowly turned around, wobbling slightly on his feet. The other two men, just as inebriated, also looked at Ita, their eyes narrowed in anger at this man interrupting their affairs. "Wha...?" the man grunted. "Wha you talkin' 'bout lady? I might be.... gurk... A bit tipsy... But you ain't no lady! What you tryin' to do, interruptin' me like that with nonsense business?"

"Ugh," Nanou sighed in annoyance. She softly put her hand on Ita's shoulder to attempt to grab his attention. Leaning forward, she said to him, "Once again I do appreciate your assistance, but I fear this man is too far gone to even understand what he did. Let us just leave him to his primitive affairs with these others and make our way to that table."

(Happy Thanksgiving!)

Adalia watched the scene unfold in horror. She wanted to say something to the man, but knew it was completely unnecessary, seeing as how Nanou and Ita definitely had it covered. She knew Nanou was right about just moving on, but she really wished he would apologize.

"Are you alright?" she asked Nanou concerned she may possibly have gotten hurt.

[[Haha thanks x33]]

It took all Ita's might not to stumble when her hand hit his arm. He repressed his grimace and nodded at her when she apologized. That, that was his own fault. He shouldn't have stepped in front of her so quickly. Her blush was worth it though, besides heightening his chances at getting what he wanted/needed he thought it was cute. Not as cute as somebody else he knew but definately cute.

He opened his mouth to reprimend the fools except this time he was going to add a bite to his words but the elf-girl's hand on his shoulder grabbed his attention. He looked at her and said quietly, "Are you sure? He had no right." Not that Ita was one to talk.

Senna on the other hand just watched and memorized those men's faces. Even though it was not her they hit she was not one to forgive and forget. She turned her attention to the rest of the building trying to pinpoint where they were supposed to sit. The place was crowded.

Nanou gave a short sigh and put her hands on her hips. Looking up at Ita she said, "Of course I am sure. I would not have let the words escape my lips had I not been sure. Now let us just get to the table."

The elf girl squeezed past Ita towards the three men, who still had their attention on Ita and Nanou. "Gentlemen, sit down and have another drink. This man will not... confuse you any more." Nanou half smiled and half grimaced as the men gave lopsided grins and did as she said. In their stupor they had easily forgotten what it was they had been so angry about, and instead resigned to ordering yet another round and loudly laughing with each other once more.

Shuddering and rolling her eyes at them, Nanou motioned to the others to the table at the back which was, luckily, still empty. Nanou gracefully sat down on the bench against the wall and began daintily stacking up the empty glasses and plates and pushing them off to the side. "Doesn't anyone do their job around here? Unbelievable that the help cannot even keep a table cleared!" Nanou shook her head and looked at the other three. "Anyway, I suppose we should get back to our conversation from outside. Now..." Nanou pointed at Adalia and Ita and continued. "You are Adalia and Ita... But I do not believe that the rest of us have introduced ourselves. My name is Nanou and it is a.... Ah... Pleasure to make acquaintances with all of you." Nanou sat on the edge of the bench, her back straight. Although the amount of people was desirable, she was trying to make sure as little of her as possible was touching the tavern furniture. After all, who knew what had touched it? She shuddered slightly at the thought.

"I'm Senna," Senna added unsure if she had introduced herself at all. She crossed her legs and rested her hands on her lap. She couldn't hide her distaste towards their current seating arrangements. The awful smell of the place was hard to ignore.

Ita on the otherhand had no such qualms. He was used to worse smelling things, imagine having to smell his partner everyday who didn't believe in bathing. This was nothing. "Nanou? Thats a different name," he said kindly. He glanced at Senna, "Senna too. I'm not overly knowledgable to elven names besides maybe Frodo." Which wasn't even an elven name. "I don't even remember what we were talking about before." He added lastly as a waiter finally came by and took the trash without even a whisper. It was only a matter of time until they could take their orders but Ita wasn't sure he trusted their wares.

Adalia smiled gently as Senna and Nanou introduced themselves. She clearly noticed the two attempting to not touch much, and wondered if it was odd for her to feel differently. After all, she slept on the ground, how much worse could this be? She listened as Ita spoke while a waiter cleared the table.

"So, it's quite strange that two elves are in a human town, which I mentioned earlier. You two must be very adventurous," she began, taking note of Ita not remembering their conversation, and deciding to start a new one. "I don't mean to pry, but may I ask what it is you are doing in a place like this?" she questioned, her nervous smile plastered all over her face.

Senna eyed Adalia warily, "Not really," she said simply. "I don't like staying in one place for very long but I'm not necessarily one for new things." She looked at the dirtyness of the place and scrunched her nose.

Ita glanced at Adalia and smiled. "I agree with Adalia, seeing elves around here is strange but thats not a bad thing." Definately not a bad thing. He resisted the urge to lick his lips and grin like the idiot he was.

Nanou sighed and lightly ran her forefingers through the front of her hair. "I am merely exploring new areas. It is... ah... part of my family's tradition. And you, Adalia, do you live here? And Ita... You don't know the area, you said. So what is your purpose here?"
The elf glanced over at Senna. Although she was trying to hide it, she was intrigued by this one. She didn't seem to be fully elven, from what she could tell, and it was rare to see elves outside of their villages and cities. Unfortunately, Senna seemed just as likely as Nanou to reveal her true reasons for being in the human village.
