[[Sorry! Stupid school, stupid conditioning.. BLARGH.]]

Rain rolled over and hit her alarm clock for the thirtieth time that morning. "Sheesh! I'm up.. I'm up!" She roamed around her room, looking for her undergarments, shorts and high tops, and that cute blue shirt she had with the Cookie Monster's face on it.

She found them and a towel, and slipped into the bathroom, taking a five minute shower before popping out, drying her hair and dressing, also using the bathroom. I have to pay Kitty today, don't I? Ah, crap. I have enough for this month and the two after, but then what do I do? Ask Jorge? Well it should be right since he made me pay every damn month for our old apartment, and that was close to nearly two hundred more. Right?

Rain dashed back to her room, kicked open the door and grabbed her keys and her wallet. She dashed down to Santo's room and knocked. "Santo? You up?"

Kitty heard her housemates rumbling and went out to the hall, "COME ON AND PAY ME TODAY, EVERY ONE BUT LACEY AND COVE OW 200 I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO LACEY TODAY!"

"I'm about to go pay Kitty. I'll be back later," Rain yelled through the door, not sure if Santo was up or not. She trotted down the stairs, walked up to Kitty's desk and dug through her wallet, pulling out two fifties and a hundred, handing them over. "It is two hundred, right? The way you yelled up the stairs makes me think so," Rain giggled.

"Yuppers, Thank you." She went to the safe and put it in, covering her hands as she did the combination. "Ok Soon i'll have to rest again so if anyone wants to go to breakfast and include me it better be soon."

Cove parked his car around the corner from the apartment building. Turning the corner, his hands were at his sides. He was tired and hungry, but mostly tired. "Sleep...eat later.." Cove mumbled under his breath. Standing outside of the building, he stared at it for a few minutes.

Opening the door, he walked in and right to the steps heading up, focusing on just getting through his apartment door.

Santo thought he had heard something but when it went away he figured he was wrong. Dang his bed was sooo comfortable. He yawned waking up and wondered if he should get out of bed. He was still somewhat asleep mind wise as he sat up.

Rain said a quiet 'you're welcome' to Kitty, and then took her time taking the stairs back up, seeing Cove and waving, not sure if he saw, and continued back to Santo's room. She knocked again. "Santooo. It's ten in the morning, kiddo. I don't mean to rush, but I want to get this overwith. I don't want to have to stay at that asshole's any longer than I need to. I'm waiting twenty minutes before I kick down your door and drag you there in your pjs." Rain giggled to herself.. what would that be like?

She could imagine it now, her kicking down his door and throwing him over her shoulder, running out to the car and dumping him inside, making their way over to Jorge's.. oh boy. That would be hilarious.

"Okay. I exaggerated. I'm not that mean. I really, really don't want to go over there, but I need my katana and my other pjs, and my nightgown. If he's sold any of them, I'll beat his ass." Rain sat down, leaning against his door. "I get all worked up abot the littlest things. It's horrible. I know."

Santo fully woke up when he heard Rain outside his door. Oh yeah they were going to pick up her stuff today and then throw her party later on. He said loud enough so she could hear, "Okay I'm gonna take a quick shower and get dressed. I should be down in twenty. Sorry for sleeping so late Rain."

Kitty chuckled she could hear rain loud and clear, She went in the hall and yelled up, "I wanna see santo in his pj's. This place it to much fun these days."

Rain smiled and moved out the way of the door. "Really? Should I, Kitty?" Rain joked around. "And Santo, it's no big deal. I kept you up with the movie last night. It's my fault."

Santo had heard another voice but had been unable to discern who it was or what they said. He replied to Rain, "No worries. Okay I'm going to shower now." He got up and went to the shower making sure to hurry. Once he was out and dried off he dressed in a three piece suit and pulled his hair back nicely. He made sure to put his shades on. He opened the door and locked it behind him.

Cove held onto the handrail the entire way up, so that he wouldn't fall over. "So...tired..." He mind was in a haze. When he got to his floor, he opened the door to his apartment. Walking in, he closed his door and locked it from the inside. He didn't even bother turning the lights on, and walked right to his bedroom. Kicking off his shoes he climbed into his bed and under his blankets.

Rain looked up at Santo from where she was on the floor and smiled. "Ready?" She was kind of disappointed, though - she kind of wanted to drag Santo to her car in his PJs. Though it would be funny, she didn't know if he'd get mad or go with it.

"Ready to go," he said with his usual smile. He stepped over her and began walking down the stairs calling back teasing her, "Hurry up slow poke." He chuckled and made his way down stairs. He saw Kitty and gave her a wide smile saying, "How you feeling today?"

"Awww he was supposed to be in his pjs, I'm feeling pretty good most of the wounds have fully healed, It's a cat thing. Your looking fetching as always." She slowly blushed as she spoke.

Santo let out a laugh and said, "I am sorry to disappoint Kitty." He gave a little bow then lifted his glasses to give her a wink, "Why thank you. Oh today is Rain's birthday party. We have to go grab some of her things but we will be back shortly."

Rain smiled at his comment and got up, stretching, and followed him down the stairs. She almost ran into him when he stopped to ask how Kitty was. She stepped around him, smiling at Kitty's answer. She was blushing.. Did she like Santo too? Ah, hell.
"He had his door locked, and seeing as my hair's down today you notice I don't have a hairpin with me. Next time, Kitty. I promise." Rain turned around and got a good look at Santo. He did look nice today. She poked him in the belly and said, "I'll be in the car. Hope your other wounds heal, Kitty! I expect you to be well for the party later."

She dashed out the door, kind of leaping, taking exactly seven strides to get to her car across the street. She opened the door and shut it, putting her key in and starting the car, letting it start it's usual five-minute warm-up. She opened her mirror and glove compartment and got her eyeliner out, putting a small bit on. She'd let her hair be down and wavy today since she was being super lazy, and didn't bother to put on her contacts, leaving her eyes their natural hazel. She muttered to the mirror "You're beautiful. You have one of the best smiles. You're perfect in my eyes," a ritual her mother taught her so that she'd never lose self-esteem. She closed the mirror and threw her eyeliner in the compartment and shut it, waiting for Santo.

Cove had only fell asleep for about 5 minutes. He was laying on his side with his back facing his door, staring at the wall. All that for a screaming match. Closing his eyes, sighing, hoping he'd fall back asleep.

"no your fine, I've figured out that if anyone saw you in your pj's or just a little disheveled you'd have a heart attack," She felt a pang of jelousy when Rain poked him in the stomach, "Becareful, I don't want anyone else getting hurt. I won't be all better though I only have the canine's and my eye to worry about right now." She smiled. She remembered santo and the fight she had with Hal the night before, and turned red, "I'm really sorry about yesterday I'm not used to straight, or even mostly straight men living in my house." She Ran up the stairs around Santo and Rain She needed to check on her little bud.

She got to Coves Door and knocked hard, "Cove come talk to me," She needed to make sure things were ok, She had missed him that morning. 'that and i need to get away from santo' she thought.

((I've missed a bit O_o I was pretty sick and miserable when I got sucked into a Gravitational pull. It's happened before, but I followed it the whole way this time...))

Hal peeled his cheek from the page he'd been working on last night. In a fit woe he'd made a few of the chapters ahead of their release date...

Stifling a yawn he stretched and left his chair to shower and change. "It feels nasty..." he snarked as he ran a hand through his hair. It always did in the morning. "Must be from being drenched in the blood of innocents," he said and shrugged.

Cove opened his eyes, rolling over to face his door. He listened, hearing Kitty from behind his aparment door. "Hold on.." He croaked out, pushing himself off his bed anf shuffling to the door. His hair was dishelved, he was starting to get rings under his eyes, he was pale. He looked overall tired. Even if he tried to smile he looked tired. He opened his door, looking at Kitty, his shoulder hunched over. "Hey." Cove mumbled, rubbing at his left eye.

Hal, happily clean began to braid hi hair on the way downstairs. His stomach rumbled, him having left it alone for 4 days now, but he didn't have to eat. He wanted to hand in the chapters so he could be left in peace from that blasted editor for three weeks...He was really glad he'd finished them up early...

Rain sat in the car, waiting for it to warm up, waiting for Santo. She reached around to the backseat and grabbed her beige trench coat, shuffling and putting it on, but not buttoning it up. She honked the horn once, wondering what had kept Santo. She'd seen Kitty dash up the stairs right after she left, and she'd wondered if she'd stopped and talked to Santo a bit.
AND she likes him. Or I think she does. Even so, I'm no competition to her. Even with her banged up she still looks about a thousand times better than I do. And this scratch is NOT helping. She pulled the mirror back down and looked at it, and wondered if make-up would cover it. If she had a scar there for life.. Oh, man.
