Anyway. Emilie Autumn. If you haven't heard of her, she's a "Victoriandustrial" artist that combines her classical violin training with, well, yelling into the microphone. xD
She appears to be someone you love or hate, and she's got a style all her own.

Shalott has been one of my favorites lately, I completely overlooked it until I heard it played live. <3 I guess I'd never really listened to it before.

i remember about a month ago there was a fresh meat post about her and the plague rats and so on, which got me interested, then i listened to 'opheliac' and 'marry me'... i have really only listened to those two songs, so i can't really say much... i certainly don't dislike it but i feel like i need more to go on...

i also saw on her website that she has a book coming out... sounds pretty interesting!

I love Emilie Autumn. I pre-ordered her Opheliac Deluxe Bundle. I can't wait till it comes out. I'll probably be done with the book before I even put the album on my iPod. But at least I have the regular U.S. version of Opheliac.

My favorite songs are Opheliac, Shalott, Misery Loves Company, Castle Down, What If, Revelry, Syringe, and Bohemian Rhapsody cover.

I also love her clothing style!

I wish I could have gone to see her live. But I had no way to get to either one of her concerts that were near here (one was about 2.5 hours away and the other like 4 to 4.5 hours away). Also, both concerts ended up being when I have class so I couldn't go.

If you order it from The Omega Order (I think that is what it was called and I don't feel like looking it up) it is $80 when pre-ordering. After it comes out, you have to pay the full price, $100, to get it. I saved the $100 my dad gave me for my birthday back in August to buy it. That's the only reason I pre-ordered it instead of waiting for just the book by itself. I really want the tote bag as well! But if I had actually bought the RAM I needed for my laptop and desktop, I would not have pre-ordered it because then I would not have had the money to get the bundle.

Hopefully I'll get some money from Christmas so I can buy the bundle. <3

Well, it was originally supposed to come out October 27 (I think that's the correct date) but it got delayed due to printing issues. And it took a while before the dude at the Omega Order even sent out a mass mailing to the people who pre-ordered explaining what happened because they changed the release date at least a week before they sent any type of mailings. But as long as the book comes out and gets sent to me, I'll be happy. Only bad thing is, it gets sent out during my final exams week. So, hopefully the bundle will get to me after I finish taking all my exams. I can't remember which shipping and handling I chose.

If you get the book before exams, you'll get distracted, right?

The moment I get my hands on my own copy of the book, I will treat it like a sacred object. I know, I sound obsessed, but I've waited soooo longggggg. o 3o That, and I'm, again, a loyal EA fan.

Yes, I would definitely be distracted! But at least I only have one exam to study for since the one is photography and I just have to bring in my book for that. The other is web design and I just have to share my project 3. THe one I have to study for is Chemistry.

I will be obsessive over it as well. My best friend also wants the book but cannot afford it. I already told her she cannot borrow mine and she replied with "I don't blame you for not letting anyone borrow it."

I did let a co-worker (now ex-co-worker) borrow my US Opheliac cd to try to get him into Emilie. Don't know how well that went. He said he liked it, but didn't talk much about it.

Chemistry is a big thing to study for! D:

I got almost all of my friends into EA. I'm a proud plague spreader.

Most of my friends won't even give her a chance. Most of my friends hate most of my music. They are people who prefer pop, rap, R&B, hip-hop, and country! Oh, and all those Disney bands. Oh, and the Disney music, I like the songs that are actually in the movies and the old shows! Not the re-edited stuff done by their actors and actresses and whatnot. I do like stuff from all those genres though. XD And they definitely won't give her a chance if they heard most of the stuff off the Opheliac album. That album was actually the album that got me into EA.

And I only let him borrow it because he likes Dethklok/Metalocalypse so I figured he may like EA. But I would only lend my stuff to those I actually trust. I would have to admit I was a little hesitant on letting him borrow it though. But I did get it back and without a scratch on either disc.

One of my friends tried listening to it. He likes her intro's but he says her voice is to studdery. I can understand in Castle Down or in I Know Where You Sleep. I just think he found a stupid excuse to not listen. It took me awhile to get used to most of her songs. After listening to Opheliac and finally loving her whole screaming chorus, I found all her other songs more easier to listen to.

One of my friends prefers her Enchant songs because she was more innocent. I like her Opheliac stuff cause of all the references to Hamlet. <3
