Alex grabbed her swimsuit from the edge of the pool and threw on her towel with the Clown Fish on it. She stood up and walked to her room. She put on her purple sweatshirt, faded and holed skinny jeans, and her favorite pearl necklace.

Kenshin got out, wrapping a plain blue towel around himself, then headed back to the bathroom, where he changed into his outfit from yesterday. When he got out, he knocked on her down. "Hey, Alex, mind if we swing my my place for a change of clothes?" He leaned against the door frame, waiting for a response.

"No," she walked out after putting on deodorant and her new perfume. "Let's go!" she laughed.

He headed downstairs, laughing, and headed out to his car. He stopped, smiled, and opened her door for her, winking, then closed it once she was in and went around to the other side, pulling on his seatbelt and looking over at her, making sure she had hes on before starting the car.

Alex looked over at him and laughed a bit. "Yes mommy, I remembered my seat belt."

When they arrived at the mall, she got out and looked over at him. "I need to get my prom dress, you're going to have to do something else while I do that." she said as she nodded. "What color?"

He smiled at her, and drove them to his house, ran in, and threw on a new shirt. He was out of the house before his mom even knew he was home.

He drove them to the mall quickly, then hopped out. He tapped his chin. "Lets go with.... Green. For your beautiful eyes. Maybe a nice foresty color." He winked at her, then headed off towards the Mall. "I'll be at Gamestop, then Boarders, then, if you still haven't found me, we'll meet in the Food Court, say, noon?" He looked back at her, to see if she thought that was ok.

By then it was about 10:00, so that would be plenty time for her to find the perfect dress. Sounds good, see you then." she kissed him and ran into the mall. She ran straight to Deb's and started trying on dresses. It turned out to be a tie between dress one and dress two. She chose on dress one, and looked around the many jewelery stores for something that went well with it. She decided on a Jade necklace, thinking it would match best. Now was time for shoes, she went back to Deb's, where she found green heels which fit just right. She walked back to the food court and spotted Kenshin. She ran up to him and hugged him, trying to keep her bags from flying around too much. "I got everything for prom, it's next Tuesday." she said, that day being Saturday.

Kenshin had walked to Gamestop, picking up a copy of Mass Effect 2, as well as putting some money down on a Star Trek: Online preorder. Then, he shot over to Boarders, where he shopped around before deciding he didn't need anything. On his way to the Food Court, he stopped at one of the Jewelery Stores, looking into the window, and smiling as he spotted something. He quickly ducked inside, bought the item, and slipped out, so that he didn't have to worry about her spotting him.

He had just sat down to wait for her when she showed up. He smiled hugged her back, then looked at her surprised. "Wow, is it really Saturday already?" He looked off at the stores, then back at her. "I'll have to pick my suit up tomorrow. Well, I picked yours, so what color should I dress in?" He stood up, and took her hand, leading her towards the restaurants.

It was actually Monday, but I didn't wanna wait too long so it magically turned into Saturday xD
I just realized that...))

Alex peeked in the bag, not letting Kenshin see as she tried to decide whether to pick white or black. "I like white, but black will match better." she said with a small wink. She grabbed his hand as well walking to the restaurants. "Applebees or Old Country Buffet?" she asked.

((No problem. Well, I thought it was, Friday, cause they were suspended Monday, party Tuesday, fight Wednesday, get together late Thursday, wake up today/Friday [and shopping]. That was my clock, anyway. Also, Love the new outfit :D))

He nodded, knowing exactly what to wear. "Alright, well, how about some Applebees?" He put an arm around her as they walked, keeping his eyes up so he didn't accidentally spoil his surprise.

Alex nodded and smiled as she turned right, going into Applebees. "Sounds good. By the way what do you want me to call you?" she asked. She walked in and ordered a table for two, followed by being led to their table.

He smiled at her question. "Ken, Kenny, Kenshin, I don't care. I'll take nicknames too, if you want. Sweetie, Baby, Dear, whatever." He stopped, and caught her arm. "Just nothing overly embarrassing, like Baby Cakes, or Honey Buns, or something, ok?" He kissed her, then walked to catch up with their waitress.

"That's gross...I would never call you that. Sure, maybe babe...but not anything too...little-girlish." she said. She accepted his kiss and sat down. She ordered chicken and artichoke dip.

((Applebees' artichoke dip actually doesn't make your breath smell...))

He nodded to her. "Well, don't strain yourself. Just whatever comes natural to you." He looked at the menu, then ordered some Ribs. "So, we're going to have to get back to school Monday. Apart from, well, my stupid ass ruining things for us, did you enjoy the weeks vacation?"

Alex laughed a little bit. "No, you have a stupid brain," she stopped, set her menu on the table, and folded her hands. "Your ass is too sexy to be stupid." she said as she smiled. "It was good, despite our little spat." she said. She sat back and looked at her stomach as she sighed.

He laughed and nodded. "Why thank you." He looked down at her stomach, then reached out his hand and put it on hers. He looked at her and nodded with a smile. "It'll be alright, don't worry."

Alex breathed in through her nose, closed her eyes and held it as she attempted to hold back her tears, being the very emotional girl she was. She let out her breath and nodded. "I just don't want to look like a total whore, I know if one person finds out, everyone will know. EVERYONE. That'll ruin your reputation and mine, not to mention our family." she said. She sighed and looked back up at him. "It better be okay..."

He squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Hey, it will be. If you want, we can keep it under control. Kevin, Kyle, Josh and I aren't the most popular kids in school on good looks alone. If anyone says anything bad, we'll put a stop to it." He smiled at her. "Besides, for you, I'd gladly throw away my reputation. Without a second thought." He looked at her hands in his, then back up at her. "As for our families, we'll need to get them together soon," he lower his voice and looked around, in case some of their classmates were here, "whether you're pregnant or not. They might as well meet, and if you, you know, confirm that you are, then we can tell them." He leaned back. "I promised that I'd stay with you, no matter what, and I wasn't lying about that."

"Well, when would you like them to meet? We could have them go out to dinner during prom, or I could get my mom to make some Chinese." she suggested. "If anyone says anything bad, I don't want you taking care of it Ken, that's why we got this week off, remember your little mishap?" She glanced nervously around the restaurant and let go of his hands when the food arrived. "We can stop on the way home and buy the test, I'll tell you the result tomorrow, meanwhile, you think up a plan to keep this on the down-low." she said as she nodded and started to eat her food.

He smiled at the idea. "A Prom Night dinner would be great, and I can't think of any better way to break that kind of news to them." He sat back, and nodded. "Don't worry, that's not what I mean by put a stop to it'. I don't make beating people up a habit."

He nodded to the waitress in thanks as she set down the food, then picked up his fork, but looked down at the food and bit his lip. "Look, I need to let you know, and don't get mad, but I told Kevin about what was going on." He nodded towards her stomach, signaling what he meant, then held up a hand to cut her off. "BUT- But, you can trust him. Kevin and I have been friends since Middle School, and I'd trust him with my life, let alone my secrets." He lowered his hand to the table. "If I'm going to run any kind of social interception on this, I'm going to need to fill Kyle and Josh in once we know for sure. Still, I just wanted to make sure that was ok with you." He looked at her to see how she reacted.

"What if there's nothing to know, if I don't have a bun in my oven, then what? What would you tell him? Just out of curiosity." she asked with one eyebrow raised.

He shrugged. "I don't know. False alarm, keep it to yourself? I trust Kevin not to talk about anything to do with that, so if I tell him your not, he's just going to forget I mentioned that you might have been." He sipped his Dr. Pepper, then looked at her again. "I know that's what I'd do if he told me that about a girlfriend of his."

"Okay, that sounds good to me." she said as she nodded. She finished her food and stood up. "Ready?"

He blinked at her empty plate, then at his barely touched meal. "Um, sure. I can take mine to go." He smiled sheepishly. "Guess I wasn't as hungry as I though." He held up his hand, motioning for the check, then pointed to his food to show he would need a box. He looked back at Alex. "Hey, listen, if we did, you know," He lowered his voice again, "have a kid," he leaned back again, "what would you want, a boy or a girl? You know, not just right now, but for later, if you're fine now but we actually try for one in the future." He finished his soda while he waited for the check, and her answer.

Alex was slightly shocked by his question, but happy about his consideration. "Well, boys are always cuter with less of an attitude, however, a girl would make a good companion....I suppose a boy." she said quietly.
