Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen!

There are refreshments along the back wall accompanied by a chocolate fountain. A live band will be with us so please, grab a partner, a friend, a roommate, a broomstick, or a stranger (real or imaginary) and dance your time away here in the ballroom.

Mostly just hang out and have fun.

Enjoy~

I walk in and look around. I take a perch on the wall as I let my head rest back, eyes closed, listening to the music.

Hearing the music filtering through the late-night air, Lynn’s ears perk up at the sound. He contemplates the idea of investigating for a moment, before smirking slightly, and making his way to the nearest entrance of the place.

Inside the building, Lynn takes note of his surroundings, lime green eyes bright with anticipation and excitement. They eventually skim over most of the dancers, who he will mingle with later, and come to rest on the amenities by the back wall. He almost purrs at the sight of the chocolate fountain. That is something he will have to become more aquatinted with.

With a look to either side of himself Lynn makes sure that he’s not about to crash into anyone else. Then he steps forth, heading towards two of the more colorful characters. One looks to be the man on the poster outside of the resident advertising this dance party. Being mindful of their conversation, Lynn waits for a pause in the conversation to speak.

“Good evening. How are you both faring this night?”

Hello Lyn.

I really didn't mean for this to be a role-play type thing ^^;; sorry if it came off that way. It's just a hang out thread. I don't have a problem with the rping but this is in the general discussion forum and I don't know if that's allowed 0.0;; I don't wanna get in trouble ><;

Hey Lyn, I'm doing quite well. I just bought the greatest trenchcoat ever and I'm very happy about it.

Nice of you to drop in Janus! *hugs* Welcome Lad!

@Jo: that's good to hear. Was it a real trenchcoat for cosplaying purpose? Or something for Mene?

A real trenchcoat. I've always wanted one. It's all snazzy with the double buttons, the tie in the middle, the overlapping collar, it even has those useless backflaps things on the back and it flairs out at the bottom ^^ it's perfect. It's not one of those leather ones though. I got it just because I found it and it was awesome and cheap xD

Plus it's black and has HUGE white buttons.

I'm so happy I found it :3

Anyway: How are you Lyn?

@Jo: Well enough. I'm visiting a friend today/tonight, since we both have busy schedules. It's hard to carve out time to see each other, but we at least try to meet-up on the weekends.

Otherwise I'm happily engrossed with my class, and different texts I'm reading for it.

You have my sympathy, Jo. The same thing is happening to me--end of term/semester crunch.

::Sips on a champagne flute/glass filled with chocolate, from the chocolate fountain in the back:: Then there's the different sicknesses that seem to be making the rounds. I hope everyone here is at least physically well.

::Nods:: Yep, finals and midterms are the worst times of the year. Mind you, the stress also depends on the college you attend, and how many classes/credits you’re carrying.

Standard class is 3 credits. 1 credit = 1 hour of class per week.

Normal minimal full-time is 12 credits/hours, or 4 classes at 3 credits each.

4 Year universities, and bigger schools can be absolute nightmares, because every teacher/professor thinks that only their class matters, and that you--the student--shouldn’t have to worry about anything other than what they assign you.

I’ve been to community colleges. They are awesome. 2 year institutions, you can get the ‘grunt work’--the classes that EVERY major wants you to go through--out of the way for cheaper at a community college. And a bonus? They cater to older students, people with jobs, kids, people who can only go at night or for part time so . . . . you end up with instructors who are more willing to work with you on time constraints. Bluntly, they remember and acknowledge that you have a life outside of their class.

Keep that in mind if you plan on ever going, Ainebella.

And good luck to you as well Jo.
