Alex returned a moment later, refilling the glass. "Your food will be out as soon as possible, sir." He looked at Maria. "So, Ma'am, friend of yours, or a soon to be customer?" He eyed Marcus, a hungry look in his eyes. Marcus forced himself to remain calm, lest he invite unwanted attention from anyone else.

"He's mine." Maria growled taking her glass and setting it down on the table. She hated the blood thirsty Vampires who tried to eat everyone in sight.

He raised his hand apologetically. "Of course, my mistake." He backed up, and bowed. "If you need anything else." He ducked into the shadows, heading back for the bar.

Marcus let out a sigh of relief as he left. "That was close. So, um, obviously you can go into sunlight. Am I forgetting any?" He leaned back, tapping his chin.

"Turning into bats, Crosses, churches, uhhh....I can't think of anymore." She said counting them off her fingers.

He nodded. "Oh yeah, right. Well, lets go with bats first. That is where the whole little fable kicks off, huh? So, is it true, or at least something like it?" He leaned forward. Flying was one of his dreams, and the idea that she might be able to interested him.

"We can hover, the whole bat thing is because they seem to like us." She said grinning.

He nodded. "Cool. So, I guess that leaves Churches and the Cross. Does the whole Hallowed ground thing keep you out, and does a cross even make you uncomforatble, let alone hurt you?" He looked over at the bar, when Alex was setting his meal out on a tray.

"I love going inside churches they are very pretty. Crosses are beautiful." She said smiling.

He smiled and let out a little chuckle. "Well, I see. Good to have the fact from fiction."

Alex stepped up and began setting out the food. "Here you go. Enjoy." He smiled at Maria. "Another drink, Ma'am?" He asked, leaning forward slightly in a bow, but keeping his face towards her.

"Please do, and put all of this on James Macoy's tab please." She said handing him her glass.

Alex smiled, refilling her glass, and backed away with another bow.

Marcus looked over at her as he picked up his silverware. "Who's James Macoy? Another vampire you know?" He cut of a piece of the Steak and chewed it thoughtfully. He nodded at it, and added a little salt.

"My father." Maria said taking smiling at the waiter then turning to another Vampire who walked up. "Hello Dolly. Havn't seen you around in awhile." A male Vampire with a huge moehawk said sitting down next to her and hugging her. "And who is this scruptise hunk of meat?" He asked. "Oh my god, Kilmon! Thought you were in Rome?" She said hugging him back. "This is my boyfriend Marcus."

Marcus smiled at the Vampires. "Nice to meet you both. Marcus Roland." He held out a hand, deciding it was best to be friendly. He wondered if his name would get the attention it gathered in other places. While hardly important on the world stage, his father was one of the most well known me in town, and the richest, though not rich in the sense he always thought of as 'Hollywood rich'.

"Yeah yeah, nice to meet you. So Doll, What are you doing back in town? You havn't been here since the 70's." Kilmon said hugging Maria again. "My father and I moved back to town." She said with a smile.

Marcus sighed quietly to himself, retracting the hand and picking up his fork again. He supposed he should have expected as much, he was, after all, only a human to these vampires. He wondered if he would have blown off the cow he was eating with the same amount of manners if it had told him it was nice to meet him.

He supposed he would have at least shook the offered hand, or for a cow, maybe patted it's head? He wasn't sure, and he was confusing himself, so he kept quite and ate, listening to the vampires chatting.

"Kilmon, don't be so rude. Where's pablo?" Maria asked smacking kilmon in the shoulder. "Oh Dolly, he got the infection and we had to burn him." Kilmon said sadly. "No? How did he get it?" She asked wide eyed. "He cheated on me with a halfy." Kilmon said looking away. "Damn shame." Maria sighed hugging him.

Marcus looked between them, confused. He opened his mouth, but besided not to interupt withi his question. He didn't want to look any more the fool to this guy, clearly a friend of hers, than he already must.

At that point, Alex showed up again. "Everyone enjoying everything? Ah, welcome sir, can I get you anything?" he asked to Kilmon, his eyes going from Marcus's face, to his plate, then to Maria's glass and up to her face, then back over to look at Kilmon.

"The Usual Alex." Kilmon said then turned to Marcus. "Halfys, or werewolves carry a bug, that when they do it with a vampire, it infects them and slowly kills them..again." He explained.

Alex smiled at him. "Very good, sir. I'll get right on that." He headed off.

Marcus blinked, surprised, then nodded. "I see." He looked at Maria, then back at Kilmon. "So, um, how do you two know each other?"

"Oh, I met Kilmon when he was still known as Prince Herald." Maria laughed with a sigh.

Marcus raised an eyebrow, looking at Kilmon interested. "Oh?" He had another bite of Steak, then started in on the salad.

Maria Yawned then looked up at the ceiling. "Gawd I'm sooo bored." She moaned strumming her fingers on the table.

Marcus frowned, looking down, then around. "Well then, lets do something." He looked around, then back at her. "Want to get out of here, or stay? Because I honestly don't know what to do around this place." He looked at Kilmon as Alex returned, with his usual. "Here you go, sir."

"mmm...Thanks. Dolly, I got to get going because I got a date with this really cute purto rican drug dealer in Venice." Kilmore said kissing her cheek. He downed his drink then fluttered his hand at Marcus then left. "Thank the gods, I thought he'd never leave. I hate him." Maria said her eyes flashing again as she took a sip. "It's late, what time do you need to be home by?"

He smiled. He was glad he wasn't alone in that. He looked at her eyes, noticing them flash. "It doesn't matter, my mom woulnd't be to worried if I'm out late, she trusts me not to get in trouble. It depends on if my dad needs me to do anything around the house tommorow. I suppose we should wrap this up by midnight, if that's all right with you. And, um, what's up with your eyes?"
