I'm skeptical about online shopping. But when I go to malls in search of cute, unique accessories, I can never find anything to satisfy me.
Right now, I'm on deviant art looking through bracelets.
Have you ever bought anything online?
What site did you use?
What'd you buy?
How often do you shop online?
What do you think about shopping online?
Any doubts?
(:
thanks. let's chat.

Yes I have XD And honestly, it's a lot easier :P I usually buy books and weapons.. I've bought clothes before (from lolita kisama) but they turned out to be of really bad quality, so no more clothes shopping online..
However, you gotta be careful, cause some places just take your money, and don't give you sh*t back.. I'm still trying to get my money back from an order I placed over half a year ago :-x

@Suzhi Mix; I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I'm shopping through DA ( http://www.deviantart.com), so I request a picture of the stuff I'm buying before the payment is made. So far, the one person I asked has an issue with that because the fleece hat I'm asking for takes a lot of time to make, so I understand. I wasn't too happy with the plushies I bought from Gaia. They were very small, and poorly made. >< At least, one of them was. :gonk:

@hillary84; Most of the time when you buy clothes online, they're custom made to an extent. Same design as advertised, but with your measurements (: I've never bought clothes online, but I almost did once for a cosplay event. (Didn't have enough money in the end...)

I am lame, I shop though amazon, or ebay. I mostly buy sanrio stationary or books on line. My husband buys shirts. I don't like to buy things That I need to wear in case they don't fit. My sister who shops on line for nearly every thing, says returning thing bought on line is easy. So I guess it boils down to if you want to wait for what you bought, or wear it the next day?

I sometimes shop online. I only trust a few sites with online shopping. But I've bought stuff from justmanga.com (an online store that sells anime, manga, accessories, and other stuff). And a cosplay outfit from cosplaymagic.com. I'd rather not buy clothes online, since I can't try them on, or see how they really look. I'd rather not buy electronics online, seeing as they can get damaged during the shipping process. Or might not be what it said in the description.

I love using e-bay. I buy jewellery, clothes, comics, pretty much anything I like which I come across. I love using the site because some of the items sellers create are so unique. I also love using etsy, however unfortunately I don't use it as much because the site is all in us dollars and I live in the uk. But I think as long as you're careful about how much you spend on an item and have a good look at the seller beforehand, online shopping is pretty harmless. :)

i've gotten a few things online before. it's not something i plan on doing often, but there are some things that i really want that i can only find online, unfortunately. however, if i can find what i'm looking for in stores, i'd rather buy it there.

Well, I've only bought from one seller on etsy and I'll admit there was a slight problem with the shipping. But I think that's because I live so far away, and the seller was very apologetic for the delay so I wasn't put off buying from them again.
There's just so many lovely handmade items on etsy which you'd really struggle to find the same amount of craftmanship on another website. I think I might get christmas pressies off there this year actually. Which I'd probably need to order now in order to get them in time. xD
Personally I think it's a great site, it's easy to use and has lots of things on it. Like I said the only reservation I have about it is that all transactions must be made in us dollars, but that's only a minor inconvience. :)

I shop online all the time, but only at shops that I can't get to irl or a shop irl where I know how the clothes will fit me.
Most recent place I bought something at was oduim clothing. I got a jacket and I love it.
Most times I buy online I am 100% satisfied.
I usually shop at places like ebay, etsy, oduim, and a few other random sites.
Ebay is my favorite though, as you can find anything and everything there, and for way cheaper than you could at a normal store irl.
Buying onlie is also alot more convienient minus the fact that youhave to pay shipping and that can get expensive.

I have bought some things online. Only on Amazon.com though. I don't trust any other online sites. Not even Mene, sorry mene. If you guys get the cash card out for the site I will buy those. :)
I bought a CD imported from Japan. Der Wunder Taro Hakase meets Leiji Matsumoto is the soundtrack of the prequel of Galaxy express 999, Space Symphony Maetel. I couldn't help it I just had to get the soundtrack I loved it so much.
I don't shop online that much, really. Don't have the money to spend in the first place. If I did have more money I would buy online more. It just costs a lot, with shipping and handling and the price of the item you want. There may be more fees. My brother knows more about online buying than I do.

I ordered a Nintendo DS game through Amazon- which I think is the best online place to buy things from- and I thought the delivery service was pretty good. I mean, I did get worried because it was taking longer to come than they said it would, but it was only two days late.. xD;;;
I don't trust Ebay, though. My friend is good at getting deals and things from there, but even she has had some problems with it! I think it's because it's just random people selling things, people you don't know, so you don't know if they are lying about if the item is in good condition or not. My sister's friend bought something from someone on Ebay, but when she got it it wasn't even the right item that the person she bought it from said it was! Gladly it wasn't that expensive that time, but you need to be careful when buying things over the internet if it's someone you don't know or trust. That is why I only buy from the company themselves, and not random strangers. :P

I've bought a lot of stuff online over the years, I can't think of anytime I've been unhappy with it. But then again I have a really good idea of what kinds/styles of clothes fit my body type, and I know what I like.
Shipping can be a pain, but that's usually only with bargain shopping. Retailers are making shipping costs a bit more sensible to draw customers I suppose.
That reminds of the time I bought a TON of stuff from Sur La Table and I checked the box that said they would send the items separately, so they would arrive faster, and it wouldn't change the cost. They wound up sending them ALL separately. They were just kitchen gadgets so boxes were really light and small, and they JUST KEPT COMING. I was afraid the UPS guy thought I had a thing for him. (Apparently that's one of the rendevous tricks.) But yeah, that's a related hazard. D=

I was pretty skeptical about online shopping as well until very recently. my dad had experienced a few good experiences with amazon.com with books so I decided to give it a go and bought a few books myself and then really went into it and got a bunch of different things from makeup to a digital camera and have had a good experience with pretty much everuthing. I have only had one bad experience i. which I neber got the book I ordered but after reporting to amazon and got my money back. I have pretty much only bought from amazon or ebay and only one site from a specific company, so I dont know much about specific stores like walmart or sears or something, butvas far as sites like amazon go, you should be ok as long as you see their reviews,rating and feedback, especially how many people rated. I think you will be ok! Good Luck!

I only ever buy tee shirts online, and I do that because I can design my own, or get some that are really cute. My favorite right now is one that says: Music+Science=Sexy.
I loves that shirt sooo much. My only complaint is that it's a little short, but I wear an undershirt and I'm just fine.

I do not online shop for many reason. My sister is a whore for shopping online. She buys and tells my parents to buy it for her. Yet she praises herself to my parents and says she would earn her money all by herself and sh*t. Yet she still have my parents paying for the phone she has, I don't have one because I don't need it and she says I don't need one, and she complains about so many things when so many things she has done it before. She doesn't even know the phone name that she wants and I do. I still don't know how people can function enough with phones into their minds or anything really. Also she just wants so many things online she asks my parents and keep pestering them. She also screams and do all these shit I am sick and tired of. So this is the reason I don't shop for anything or even try to make myself look decent. Because there is no point in it if I am going to have a sister bring my mood down. So I am just waiting until I move. XD For me, I know she is going to go into debt.

@Melancholy; Thank you! I appreciate your perspective on the sight. (:
@Trissa; Can you share with me your experiences on Etsy?
@Blkmage Disaster; That's another issue I have with online shopping! I hate the shipping fees. ;_;
@Chapstick; Agreed. I'm very scared of that happening to me. I don't want to be ripped off. I do plan on selling my camera, soon, though.

@Le Phantastique; Thank you!
@Lizabeth Storm; Lol, we have a store in the mall called the T-Shirt Diner. We design our shirts, and they make it for us! :D We can try on the shirt before they make it, and everything works out (:
@lightkanna; What are the other reasons you don't like shopping online? All I saw was you complaining about your sister's addiction to shopping online and her other bad habits. :/

i usually order from Amazon, DeviantArt and JoeBrowns clothing.

At first i wasn't sure whether to order or not, you know for safety reasons but i am soo happy with the outcome that i'll definitely order more in future.

I buy tons of things online.
The reason is as simple as that I can't get this stuff in my own country, and I deny to live without Gothic Lolita clothing... so far no bad experiences with it (Only my local post office which are all idiots)
But of course you should be mindful of where you buy from, you can most of the time see if it's a proffesional shop or just some random guy somewhere, and I usually stick with professional shops ^^'

I buy tons of things online!
I love online shopping, but it's so addictive. I especially like Etsy and Folksy.
Just this week I've ordered a ton of Christmas presents, a few have already been delivered.
I've never been dissatisfied with any of my purchases, they've always been as described, and delivered within a reasonable period of time.
As long as you use a reputable, secure site, there's not much that can go wrong.
