This is a story that i started writing last week and i have finally finished the first two chapters and am almost done with the third so i am gonna post them now.
Intro
Dreams are a way for humans to escape the reality that we live in. In a dream we are powerful, but in reality we are weak as a babe. The creatures and stories remain in the back of our minds, lurking where we can’t reach them. Lets create a dream right here and now. A dream in the form of a story.
Chapter 1
In a world mirroring our own, the forests are lush and green, the oceans are crystal blue and cleaner than any of ours. The air is clean and free of smog from towers and industrialization. The way our world used to be. But there still exists the tragedies of crime and war. Our story begins with a girl of 17. Her long brown hair and ratty clothes are dirty from living on the streets. Peculiar are the ears and tail she sports, similar to those of a fox. People avoid dealing with her, for fear of her turning on them. I am getting ahead of myself. Let me explain her situation.
The girl was born from a noble family. Her mother a dancer, and her father a writer of fairytales for adventurous youths, Stories of demons and angels, monsters and fairies, things that would only exist in a dream. A twin brother who looked exactly like her. Never would she have thought that her fathers stories could be true. Her childhood was normal until the 13th year, when her heritage emerged. Her parents had hidden from her the race of her father, A fox demon of high importance. Now she sported a pair of ears and a tail like a fox. Her parents couldn’t risk her exposing them so they tossed her on the streets leaving her for dead. 4 years later she still lives, by picking pockets and stealing to survive the tough life on the streets. She harbors a hatred for the parents that abandoned her those four years ago.
The night was cold but clearer than it had been for months, and for once it wasn’t raining. The girl sat on the roof of a house in the middle of the city, basking in the light of the full moon. She didn’t feel cold, she felt like she could do anything under the moonlight. No one was staring, calling her names, or making fun of her appearance. Only at night was she ever alone.
However it was too good to be true. Sirens interrupted her bliss, the sirens alerting the city that there was an attack. She had to hide, but where to go? She jumped off the roof, landing shakily on the ground below. She heard screams and laughter as people were killed out of pure malice. Then again she couldn’t blame the demons for what they were doing seeing how the humans had treated them. But the demons didn’t like half breeds either. She was stuck between with nowhere to go. She ran towards the screams in hope of finding out what had happened to the people. She cared about people, even if they hated her. She was good at healing wounds, a power she had gained after turning thirteen.
She rounded the corner only to find the mutilated bodies of a few women in the streets. She screamed in horror as she ran back the way she came, tears blurring her vision making it harder for her to run. She rounded the next corner only to be pulled into the allyway, a strong arm around her waist and a hand over her mouth. The person whispered into her ear, “I promise I won’t hurt you just be quiet so they don’t find us.” The voice was deep and slightly husky, most probably male.
Nodding her head she calmed down, still crying. The person pulled her closer to them and hugged her close whispering to her to calm her crying. Together the two waited out the attack in the alleyway until morning.

Chapter 2
Morning finally arrived. The sirens had ceased halfway through the night allowing the two to get some sleep. The man awoke first, his short blond hair sticking out it every direction. He ran his fingers through it trying to tame it, then covered his mouth as he yawned. The night had seemed like it would never end but it had and he and the girl were safe. Speaking of the girl she was still fast asleep but he could see her now, Long brown hair and pale skin. She had the ears and tail of a fox, now he knew why she was on the streets. She was a half breed. She wouldn’t have survived so long in the city if she weren’t. He knew that he’d now found someone to take care of though. After meeting her he wasn’t going to just let her go back to living alone on the streets. After all she was a girl, the streets weren’t safe for even if she was a half-breed. He covered her with the tattered coat he had and left to get some food for their breakfast.
The girl awoke to the smell of fresh bread next to her. She sat up with a yawn and stretched. She felt something fall from her shoulder as she stretched her arms. She looked behind her to see a tattered coat. Confused she looked around. She was in an alleyway, cleaner than most it seemed, but she was still confused. Until she heard the same voice she had heard the night before. “Hey sleepin’ beauty, how’re ya feelin’?” she looked to the entrance of the alleyway to see a tall man with blond hair and grey eyes smiling at her. Not a scheming smile but one full of kindness. He wore brown tattered pants and a tattered white shirt, similar to her own clothes. She smiled back and answered in a softer voice than you would have thought she had, “I’m fine thanks. My name is Felina Remoir. Whats your’s? I want to be able to thank you properly.”
The man looked at her, confused by her politeness. “The name’s Galdian Dugrey. Nice ta meet’cha Felina. Nice ta know yer feeling better. You were terrified las’ night. Not tha’ I blame ya.” He said keeping a smile on his face as he ate his bread. He looked at felina again, her eyes were a blue green color that went well with her hair. She was pretty even though she was covered with dirt, nothing a bath couldn’t fix. He knew a place that she could get clean clothes and a bath for free, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to bring her there.
Felina picked up her bread and bit into it. She was in heaven, the bread was warm and fresh out of the oven. She hadn’t had something so go in so long. She looked at galdian to see he was looking at her. “what is it?” she asked as she took another bite of bread.
Galdian smiled again “I know where you can get a bath and some clean clothes for free but I don’t want to risk taking you there. It’s technically a brothel, but I know the owner.” he said looking at the ground. After a few moments of silence he looked at felina again and saw the slight look of disgust on her face before she started to eat again. She looked like she was deep in thought about her options, not that they should be that hard. The choice seemed obvious to him, free bath and clean clothes.
Felina however did not think that way. She despised those women that would sell their bodies just to make money. She’d been offered a job in them more than once and she hated the thought of it. She hated those women but if she could get a bath and free clothes for once she might be willing to go. But the question was if galdian was trustable. For all she knew he could be working for the owner of this brothel to bring in girls and sell them. However he did just save her life so she had to thank him, and she really did want some new clothes and a bath, possibly a job. She began to speak “Ummmmm……I would like a bath and some clean clothes, but do you know how I can get a job? I really want to pay you back for saving me.” She said while eating her bread.
Galdian smiled at felina. She was just like she was in his visions, not that she would believe him if he told her that she was supposed to be the mediator between humans and demons. He had been sent to find her by the group of half-breeds that wanted to live together with the humans. Having found her, he had to figure out a way to get her to believe him and help them. But until then she was the little sister he lost to the humans cruelty when she was born, she hadn’t been a demon but his mother was terrified that she would turn out like her firstborn child, the product of a love for a demon divinator. He forgave his mother and wanted to prevent anything like that from happening again. “Alright, after we finish breakfast we’ll go an see mah friend an’ ge ya a bath.” He said with a warm smile.
Felina finished her bread while still thinking about possible outcomes of “getting a bath and some clean clothes”. But all in all she trusted galdian and didn’t think he would hurt her in any way. After she had finished her bread the two headed out for the brothel.
